Punar Vivah' to go off air in June?

The latest rumour doing the rounds is that 'Punar Vivah' is reportedly going off air in June 2013 allegedly because of 'creative differences' between the producer Sumeet Mittal and the lead Gurmeet Choudhary.
Apparently, the producer was miffed when Gurmeet signed up Nach Baliye — Shriman Shrimati and his dates had to be accommodated at short notice. Incidentally, Gurmeet had earlier taken part in Jhalak... (which he went on to win) for which his co-stars had to put in longer work hours to adjust to his schedule, leading to a lot of discontent in the team. There had been plans to 'phase out' Gurmeet's character from the show because he had reportedly also been giving bulk dates to his Punjabi film, but the channel is now considering pulling the plug on the show because Gurmeet is seen as the face of the show.
Says Sumeet, "We haven't got any official confirmation on this from the channel. I have been deluged with phone calls since morning asking me about the same. As of now we're very much shooting the show and this is just a rumour."
Gurmeet Choudhary avered, "We have got no information from the channel or producers. The shoot is going on full swing and recently we even had a party to celebrate the completion of 300 episodes."
And what about the heated conversation between Gurmeet and the producers? Gurmeet rubbished this one, saying, "People need all kind of masala to keep the rumour mills going. There are no issues between my producers and me. I'm shooting today even though it is my wife Debina's (Bonnerjee) birthday. There's absolutely no problem between the producers and me."
For now the fans of the show can only hope that this is a rumour, until proven otherwise.
