Episode 249 Discussion: 18th April 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum.
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

Episode 249 Discussion - EOD summary

Sultan stops RK's car in the middle of the road to rescue Madhu from RK, Dips comes to Chawl and discloses to Trishna that Madhu is back in RK Mansion

Events of the Episode

Sultan is standing in the middle of the road. Madhu shrieks and RK stops the car. Madhu recognizes it to be Sultan. Madhu and RK get out of car. Sultan keeps looking at Madhu and asks her if she is fine. RK asks her not to answer and tells Sultan to talk to him. Sultan royally ignores him and keeps asking Madhu. RK and Sultan have a heated conversation where both snide each other over their professions, gun-toting and Make-up donning.
RK takes away Madhu back to the car, when Sultan points his gun at RK's head. Madhu is worried. RK is amused. Sultan asks RK to let go of Madhu and RK answers him back, what will he do if doesn't. As this challenge goes on Madhu wriggles her hand from RK's grip and runs to Sultan and very softly, lovingly holds Sultan's hands and the gun and over a long eye-contact with Sultan, asks him to lower his aimed gun. Meanwhile RK from behind asks MAdhu not to plead with Sultan and asks her to back out. Madhu without losing her eye-contact with Sultan answers RK that Sultan will not do anything to her. Sultan looking at Madhu, lowers his gun. RK pulls Madhu back, escorts her to the car, and then as he walks to his side of the car, asks Sultan, "how would he feel had someone interfered betweem him and his wife" and before he can finish off the sentence, Sultan retorts RK, that had he had a wife, there never would arise a situation when a third person would have interfered between him and his wife. RK deeply insulted walks back to the car, drives off as Madhu looks so forlorn at Sultan as if she is all fettered against her wishes in RK's car.
Upon reaching the studio, RK instructs Bittuji that Madhu as his wife need not work as the hair-dresser and only allowed to work, if Madhu herself wishes so. As he leaves, Bittuji pleads with Madhu never to leave RK. Madhu is angered and upset and asks how Bittuji can ask that when he knows what RK did with her. Bittuji says he understands, but also that she has not seen, how his Chief crazily loves her and is so possessive about her that he cannot stand a third person around her. That his Chief's methods are different and will not say that he loves her, but love he does.
There in the chawl, Trishna is practicing her lines from a scipt, when Dipali knocks her door. Trishna opens it and Dipali presents her with Shagun ka thaal and in a boring 3 min dragging act discloses to Trishna that Madhu has returned to RK Mansion to be back with RK. Trishna is taken aback, but packs off Dips anyways by giving her RK style OUTT. Before Padmini enters the chawl, she hides the Shagun ka Thaal.

TRP and GRP Ratings - Week 15 - 8th April to 14th April

SET MAX continues to forge ahead. It had modest 7% increase and yet it commendable because its the only channel along with Star Utsav that had gain.

SP fell, but still held top position. SET Max is in second place, followed by Zee, Sony and Colors.

Colors remained stable at 156 GRP.

Shows wise, considering that all leading week day shows had fall in TRP, MEIEJ holding its 6th position is commendable.

Looks like MB TRP %age drop this week was similar to other top 10 shows, not bad. See yellow bar in chart below:

Also, just for kicks, updated the weekly TRP chart, and marked a couple of key events this year - the Unwedding, Sultan's entry and IPL, so we can all draw our own conclusions...

PS: does not take into consideration impact of adding new markets at various points. Size, viewing patterns, demographics etc. of those markets would impact TRPs.

Hmmm Looks like this ab tak is here to stay.

Madhu's expressions honestly made me feel that she is being forced and wants her lover aka Sultan to save her .. But, Lord, she just looked to be a pathetic weak woman who needs protectors, which she is not, she is strong.. Damn it. Madhu I know you don't think of Sultan like that, but those looks are giving a wrong impression which every woman, girl no matter how protected realizes.. Maybe she is just worried about the repercussions of the meeting of these two crazy men and not thinking straight.

RK male ego got hurt when Madhu came in between I think .. For him it was between him and Sultan, Madhu was just a bystander .. He was testing Sultan the whole time to judge his character, figure out what makes this man tick. Till the moment Madhu held the gun and answered Sultan, at that moment it changed to doubting, questioning her love again .. Or maybe he is wondering the dynamics of their relationship - friends, siblings, not quite friends but not lovers either ..

Sultan he got his answers, gave some dialogues and vanished ..

Dipali gets an "OUT" from Trishna, who I see has a role or another audition .. I hope it is the former. I liked Trishna's reaction, she didn't give Dipali too much satisfaction and instead told her to leave. Though I'm glad that Padmini doesn't know anything yet (Don't ask me why .. I have no idea) sooner or later she will find out and a mother's fury will break lose .. hopefully without curses this time.

Bittooji's speech -- Brilliant. Ander zeher hai, Janbuj kar apna pyar andhekha karte hain -- every dialogue was perfectly given. RK is not a person who grovels and begs for forgiveness .. he is tedha just like his life was tedha .. He adapted and unfortunately learned to bury everything. He is ajeeb, and his every aspect is ajeeb. Though this comes across as desperation. Madhu's expresions though .. can anyone explain what she was thinking? It seemed to me like she was steeling herself against Bittooji, trying to throw all he said out of her mind, and just go on as she was.

Precap -- she is calling Sultan. And RK heard her .. Excuse me while I pray for strength for the next episode.

Madhu never told Sultan to stay away from their personal affair...RK didnt say that kutta wala dialog he said in SBB...everything is edited out 🤢...very very poor faceoff today 🥱

WTH she wanna apologize to Sultan now when she didnt say anything rude to him??? 😕...infact she was way too sweet with him giving some eyelocks and showing him that she is some abla naari, pls come and rescue me 😆

r they planning for a typical love triangle?...RK wont look bad this way with confused Madhu 😆

After watching today's SulBala scene, who would believe that they are JUST STRANGERS??😆 I am not questioning Madhu's character, because this girl loves only RK, but the way RK saw it, would anyone blame him for OVERREACTING?🤪

Madhu goes and puts her hands over Sultan's and tells him that she is alright and shows her puppy dog eyes as well😆 Sultan Bhai melts all of a sudden and puts his gun down. Then he tells her that if she faces any problem in future, then she can CALL him👏 Then when RishBala are about to leave, this Bhai tells RK that he is better husband material than RK👏

Loved Bittooji's monologue👏 Something positive👏 He was actually narrating some posts of EDT about RK's character in Hindi to Madhu😆 RS itni mehnat kyun ki on Bittooji? You should have just made Madhu read the comments and RK analysis here😆 I mean seriously, RS is becoming a bigger CHOR everyday🤣

Atleast Bittooji clarified that RK loves her in his own twisted way. SOME IMPROVEMENT⭐️

RK sees Madhu calling Bhai in the precap🤢👏 Her reason might be different. I am not blaming her, but RK will see it as if she is really calling Bhai because she is UNHAPPY! And she is the same Madhubala who told him in the morning that Bhai is YET another stranger type person in her life😆

After all this, if RK acts like a psycho (puh-leezzz NOOO!!!!!), then who would blame RK??? Isn't all this enough?🤪

P.S. I couldn't tolerate Trish-Dipz non-sense🤢

what to say in today episode, MB behavious is wired and strange so much affection for a stranger, and yes I also feel more than RK she was worried for bhai .😡, what are cv,s trying to show same love traingle spare me plse,😡, and yes Y is Mb calling bhai in precap when she dint insult him what is use to apologise, it all is done to make RK jealous and turn him more negative. really pisssed off, I want RK to let Mb go away if she is not happy .

After the sweet and entertaining episode yesterday, the drama starts again...

Today RK's ego was hurt badly..

1. Madhu didn't listen to him and went on to answer Sultan.

2. Seeing the way she was holding Sultan's hands and asking him to put the gun down.

3. Sultan telling him that his wife would not be in such a situation.

On top of that, the precap 🤢. Why on earth will Madhu call Sultan, when she knows how angry RK is already. Is it to tell him clearly not to interfere. I really hope so..

Waiting to see RK's reaction tomorrow..

Bittuji is really torn between his chief and bhabhiji. Poor man, he has to witness both sides of the story. We will get to see any clues about Madhu's reaction only tomorrow. But i was thinking that Madhu knew all about this.

Bhai self proclaiming himself as a better husband was 🤣 What's the definition of a better husband? Fall for another girl you barely know the day after your wife's barsi. Thank God RK is not such a good husband.

For some reason Madhu's holding Sultan's hand irritated me. I know her intention was only to ensure RK's safety with this senseless Sultan. But then cannot blame poor RK for feeling insecure. And why on earty is she calling Sultan rather than calling Paddy/ Trish? This lasy invites for trouble just like her husband.

Today for a change Trish was like a good sister. But don't knopw how long will it last especially once she realizes that Madhu has everything that she always dreamed of. Dips was good as her nasty self. Wonder how come Radhaji never comes to know of these antics.

Dialogue of the day for me was 'Meri biwi kisi ke baal nahi banayegi. She will only incase she wished'. Loved the way RK gave the control to Madhu😃

Forgot to mention that RK is really love to have someone like Bittujee and Radhajee in his life. Their love is really selfless. Lucky him.
