Pardon my ignorance

But dont mumbai have apartments?

Why do they have to live in a chawl?

I dont understand

Okay manav lives there because of sentiments

Aaji lives there because she is not well off

What about onir and purvi

They cant rent an apartment?

I know onir will find a house soon but mark my words it will be in a chawl again

Such renowned people living in chawls?

What about safety and security ?

Jesters: Soham and Sachin

Clown: bechara Arjun

Trapez girl: bad Ovi

Man-girl: Teju

Big Fat Man: Telu Mittal

The Tarot Reader: Punni

the floating sadhu: DK

the rest are useless and should just join damo in drinking and praising the ring leaders for keeping them around.

This show is made for chawl people, err I mean the show is targeted towards the middle class viewers in India.
The maker of the show expect this show dealing with the life and times of the chawl people will easily relate to the chawl people.
Hence Ds, Ks, & Dutts are shown living in chawl and loving poverty.

People like Arjun who are rich also fall in love and start loving the chawl and people living there.

Jokes apart, Onir is a simple doc with a humble income. They showed that when they were living in Kolkotta, they were hardly able to make ends meet.
