Kasamh Se, she's angry!

Shashi Ranjan is furious at Ekta Kapoor. In fact, he has issued a legal notice to Balaji Telefilms. It has been alleged that Balaji demanded a list of winners of the Indian Television Awards in advance and when she was denied this, she stopped six of her actors (Sanjit Bedi, Ram Kapoor, Prachi Desai, Vikas Sethi, Jennifer Winget and Roshni Chopra) from going for the rehearsals of the show.

Besides this, other actors were asked to boycott to show. This, inspite of her signing a contract and committing to the show. This has resulted in bad blood between ITA and Balaji – with the former slapping a legal notice on Balaji Telefilms and these six actors for their unethical behaviour.

When contacted, Vibhav Krishna, Ranjan's lawyer confirmed the news. Ranjan, President, ITA, is equally miffed. "Ekta assured me that all the actors would be present at the event. But just a couple of days prior to the show, she said that they were busy and could not make it. All six actors did not turn up on November 23 and 24 for the rehearsals. We had to take a stand. The only way to break this monopoly was not to succumb to these pressure tactics but to replace them. And we did just that. It is unfair of Ekta to behave in such an unethical manner. I feel sorry for all these actors who could not be part of the evening. This is the height of dictatorship. We suffered from financial losses because of them."

"But we have taken a stand in an attempt to stop this dadagiri in the television industry," he continues. "Ekta thinks that she can get away with anything. The entire strategy was orchestrated. She let them rehearse for five days and then demanded the winners' list so that she could pressurise us and we would have to bow to her demands."

When contacted Ekta said, "I am shocked by these allegations. As a matter of fact I forced Ram and Prachi to go and attend the show as Zee wanted them to be present. Why would the actors go when they were not even nominated? I am definitely upset that Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which is the biggest show and has been a clear winner over the last six years, was not nominated; but that's a different issue. I never stopped anyone from attending the event."

She adds, "Of the six actors, Ram, Prachi and Roshni are from the same show (Kasamh Se) and there were some telecast issues which may have stopped them from attending. The actors themselves realised that after shooting for 12 hours, they could not rehearse and it was taking a toll on their health. Anu Ranjan called me and told me she had arranged for replacements. I asked my father to go for the show. Ram was there, Prachi was there and even Smriti was there. So what is all this hue and cry all about? I am very upset by these allegations." Then comes the final verdict, "We do not want to be a part of the ITA function again, and do not want to be nominated either," says Ekta.

Absenteeism at ITA

There was a telecast problem for Kasautii Zindagii Kay. So I told the organisers that I would not be able to perform at the ITA.

Roshni Chopra

There was a telecast problem for Kasamh Se. We did not have an episode bank and had to shoot back-to-back. So, I could not attend ITA. Ekta did not speak to us on this issue. She has other things to worry about.

Ram Kapoor

I was to perform at the ITA but the Kasamh Se unit needed some scenes to be shot urgently. We didn't have a bank of episodes and there could have been a telecast problem. So I couldn't attend the function.

ekta actually kekta .................cant she mind her own business good thing going to happen ......inspite of crying over split milk that kyun ki didnt nominated dear............cant u finish the serail ....giving it good ending becoz u r simply streching i just wonder that my grand children would also watching kyun ki 😆

the article wasnt related to kaa but it was related to ekta kapoor so tht is y its ok if u posted it i think the mods will tell wheather it is right or wrong
