Hi friends I am late for update but I have been really busy these days and I will be more busy the coming days so I am going to finish this FF. Thank you for liking, reading and constantly encouraging me to write. My only inspiration to write this FF has ended and I am running out of ideas so I don't want to spoil this FF, hope my readers will understand.
Chapter 14: Joining the pieces...
It has been nearly three month Arnav and Khushi returned home, Khushi underwent extensive surgery for her injury and she is still recovery. Anjali and Stella frequently visit her and help in her daily chores. Today all family member decide to throw a party for Khushi since it will be a change of environment for Khushi to be around people. Every family member is invited even Arnav's mother too as she became a great support to Arnav after the earthquake incident and they have reconciled their relationship. The party is lively and all are enjoying and Khushi is too liking the change. When suddenly the light goes off, Aakash goes to check the fuse and Arnav tries to find Khushi, he calls out her name. Khushi is in the kitchen when the light suddenly goes out, it becomes so dark which brings her back to the darkness she experienced she slumps down she starts weeping hugging her knees, she becomes too scared even to speak, when Arnav reaches there he lights a candle and is surprised to find Khuhsi under table.
After Khushi sees Arnav she hugs Arnav and tells him that she was too scared of darkness and starts crying badly just then the light comes and Anjali too arrives there, seeing bith like that and listening to Khuhsi crying and telling how she was scared realize tat party is over. She makes all the guest return and tell Aakash, Stella, Ratna and other family to go back as tonight she will be staying with Arnav and Khushi. Khushi is holding Arnav and was not ready to let him go as her life depended on it so Arnav carried Khushi to their room. Still she was not ready to let go of Arnav. He makes her sleep and he comes out to the balcony.
He tooks out a packet and starts smoking. Anjali and arrives there,
"Chotey"
"Di, why are you still here? Why did not you go to your home?"
"Chotey I don't want to talk about me?" Holding Arnav's arm and showing the cigratte, "What is this chotey when did you again start?"
"Di, please I was tensed"
"Chotey how much tensed you are come and talk to me please don't smoke again" throws the cigratte. "Promise me"
Tomorrow morning Khushi is in the breakfast table andArnav is serving her breakfast, he tells her that he will be late today so not to wait for him and to have her dinner. He kisses her forehead and leaves fo office. Khushi sits in the dining staring blankly and suddenly something hit her she stands up and looks at the calender and she realizes that its their marriage anniversary. She sighs and curses herself how she can forget this day and Arnav, but she does not blame him as he has gone through much worse time. Khushi tries to be normal and plans a dinner. She calls Arnav office and inquires about Arnav's schedule, she finds out he will have a dinner break then he has a meeting. She cooks dinner, packs it and leave for Arnav's office to surprise him.
In the office Arnav picks up his phone and he orders his dinner. Khushi enters the office premise. there is a knock in Arnav's office he tells to come in. Its Sheetal with his dinner, he asks her what is she doing here, she tells him that she heard what happened to them and she is just here to share his grief. When she saw his dinner coming she took it for him. She starts serving him when Khushi enters his office, seeing both of them like this she is dumbfounded. Arnav exclaims, "Khushi!"
"hume maaf kadijiye, hum bina bataye aagaye, aaj hamari saal girha hain toh hum aapkey liye dinner leke aaye they, aap busy hain hum chaltey hai" she keeps the food box and leaves. (I am sorry, I came without asking, today is our anniversary so I have brought dinner for you, you are busy I will leave)
Arnav is surprised to know that it is their anniversary. When Khuhsi suddenly turns and leaves Arnav chases her to outside, she enters the lift and Arnav misses her by second. He climbs down the stairs but can't find her. He comes back to his office where Sheetal is waiting,
"Congratulation..." Arnav looks at her and looks at the tiffin box Khushi has brought him. "I am sorry I should not have come, I will go" Sheetal leaves, Arnav walks to his table opens the lunch box and starts eating, he smiles and eats, tears brims in his eyes as seeing how Khushi prepared all his favourite food and what he did was he forgot their anniversary.
Arnav while driving back home, buys some flower and a daimond pendent. He reaches home, maid opens the door and he walks to his room where he finds Khushi sleeping with lights on, he slowly goes to her side picks out a rose from the bouquet he has brought and place it on side of Khushi's pillows. He tells her that he is sorry he forgot, he wishes her and kisses her forehead and leaves to become fresh. Khushi opens her eyes as she was pretending to be asleep, when she heard Arnav approaching the room as she want to avoid discussion about what Sheetal was doing in his office. Next Khushi gives silent treatment to Arnav which annoys him very much and one day when Arnav says that he will late Khuhsi only say, "hmm..." Arnav can't take it anymore he shouts at her,
"What the.. Khushi, what is the matter with you, if you have any problem then why aren't we talking, you wan't to know why Sheetal was there then listen..." Khuhsi interrupts him
"nahin! humein nahin janna Sheetal aapke office mein kya kar rahi thi, humein aapsey koi sikayat nahin hain, bhool to hum bhi gaye they isi liye jab yaad aaya tabhi aapko surprise dene ka plan banaya tha, lekin hum hi surprise ho gaye.. kher chodiye aapko der ho rahe hain jayiye aap" (no, I don't want to know what Sheetal was doing in your office, I don't have any questions, I forgot it too but when I remenbered I thought to give you surprise but instead I got surprise...let it be, you are getting late go to the office)
"Khushi, Sheetal was there because she heard about us and wanted to show her grief, thats it"
"bas na toh aap uskey sath khaney mein dukh baatney waley they kya?" (thats it...then were you planning to share your sadness with her by eating dinner together)
"Khushi you are clearly misunderstanding I don have anything to do with Sheetal, you must believe me"
"hum aap pey bharaso kartey hain, baat yeh hain ki hum dono itney kareeb nahin hain aajkal humein dar lagta hain aap..." (I believe you, the thing is that we are not intimate now adays, so I am afraid...)
"what nonsense Khushi, how could you think so, I am not so cheap to stay with you only for intimacy, staying with you I have understood marriage is about standing with each other through thick and thins, these are those days and I am sure we will pass this"
Khushi hugs him and tells him that she is too afraid to loose him, Arnav kisses on her head and tries to assure her, but he is too unsure of their future...
