Part 5
Arnav couldn't just blink his eyes even for a second, not that he hasn't seen any beautiful girls than her but something which instantly dragged towards her which no one in this world could do to him. But he was not the one who was ready to fall for any girl never in his life. Can it change now ? Suddenly she opened her eyes wide to witness the dark brown eye which was staring at her without even a small movement occurring in the eyelashes. She realized that she was on top of a charming boy and she could feel pumping adrenaline inside her body. Her started to beat faster than its usual pace which could he could sense clearly from his chest. A group of girls some of them who were a part of his previous drooling interactions came rushing. They were jealous of this little girl and let out a gasp. She struggled to get up from him and stood facing him. Arnav was in no mood to enquire about her but to lash out at her for purposely falling over him.
Arnav (roaring ): How dare you ? Don't you have eyes dammit?
Khushi got the shock of her life hearing the frequency of his voice. She was about to open her mouth to apologize.
Arnav: Did you lose your hearing ability too?
Khushi got angry and she spat back : Yea.. I think after your "roar" I lost my hearing ability completely.
All the girls surrounding giggled which irritated him more.
Arnav : Stop it.. I don't wish to hear your stupid jokes.
Khushi : Neither I wish to tell you. Ok.. calm down.. Why are you getting so hyper? Im sorry it was my mistake' I didn't notice you while coming.
Arnav (agains shouts ): Notice? I know it was on purpose. How many of you have this phobia of swooning over the boys shamelessly in front of everyone and wanting to touch them? Arent you ashamed of running behind boys and trying to trap them? Whats your problem? Don't you have anyone in your house to teach you the basics of decency? Just stay away from me and Im not the type who would fall for silly girls like you.
Khushi got shocked and tears started fall from the brim. She didn't expect such kind of attitude from him. A mere ignorance for the matter or an angry stare would have settled the matter but talking about her upbringing and her character pricked her the most.
Arnav was trying to vent out his anger towards the girls whom he hated to see there. He concluded himself that Khushi was one among them having the same intentions. He was not bothered to understand who she was. He turned back in anger to move the place. While turning back he just looked at those hazel eyes full of tears but he pretended not to care about it but soon she was surrounded by those bunch of girls to provide her consolation.
Arnav moved back to his room in frustration not able to recollect what all he spat out. He didn't feel sorry but he felt he could have talked less. It was a bit over board. After about an hour Anjum came near him to call him downstairs.
Arnav : I will come with in 10 mts.
Anjum : why are you keeping aloof from the family chotte? Come and join downstairs. Are you going to make your di cry ?
Arnav ( irritatingly) : Fine.. Im coming.
Arnav was moving to the kitchen to have some sweet as he was feeling that his sugar levels are dripping. He found out that no one was present in the kitchen counter and moved near the sweet box which was kept near the window. He was shocked to see the scene before him outside the window. One old man was suffering of epilepsy and no one was ready to help him. Most of them didn't care to go near him as they felt awkward to provide a help. Arnav felt a bit dizzy to move towards him and help but he bore his eyes on the direction expecting someone to help that old man. He mentally cursed everyone for having such a stone heart of not even trying to help an old man. He tried to call Akash from his mobile but like a lightning, the same small girl whom he had bumped in the morning came near that poor man taking care of him pressing iron keys inside his palms to stop the seizure. Luckily it stopped and she bent down to take his head on her lap. She cleaned her mouth and washed his face. The old man got back his senses slowly and got up to thank her. He blessed him by keeping hands on her head.
Arnav was watching this scene with his jaw dropping down. How could he talk something like that to her? She was the one who cared for the old man in spite of such a crowd present there. Such a kind hearted soul he thought. What others thought as disgusting the girl did it without any hesitation. Truly remarkable and different! How can someone be so caring and helpful ?
Old man :Bitiya.. thank you so much.. If you hadn't helped me then'
Khushi : nothing kaka.. Don't worry God wont let you suffer.
Old man : Yea.. God sent his angel in your disguise. May you have all the prosperity and happiness in your life that you wish for.
Khushi : Thank you kaka.. Your blessings are more than enough for me to lead a happy life.
Saying she turned herself to find Arnav staring at her through the window. The khadoos angry faced boy who had badmouthed her in the morning. She gulped down her fears but his sudden look turned weak and he fell down the floor losing consciousness.Khushi rushed into the kitchen to find him near the sweet counter. She couldn't react as she was unaware of what happened to him.
Khushi :Hey devimayya, whats happening ? Today it looks like all are having a weak health. What happened to this laad governor? Why did he faint? Please help me devimayya..
She couldn't resist herself but tried to lift him but suddenly thought "What if he shouts back again after regaining consciousness? I better don't go in his way.."
But the state in which he was lying on the floor turned her against the decision. Just because he shouted at me in anger I should not leave him at this position. Atleast as a part of humanitarian concern I should find some way to save him. She turned back to find no one inside the kitchen. She popped out of the window and was shocked that the crowd had already dispersed. Finally after much hesitation she took some water and sprinkled over his face. She faintly heard his voice asking for a laddu pointing towards the table. She immediately took some and fed him. He choked some but got back to his normal state and looked at Khushi..
Khushi : voh.. u fainted. That's y.. I didn't touch you intentionally. Sorry.
Arnav looked at her eyes which bore the stream of innocence. She was right she had to make clear to him that she was not behind him like other girls. He looked at her shivering lips trying to prove her point, her hands playing with her duppatta in nervousness. He came near her with an intense stare making her heart beat increase its pace out of fear.
Khushi : Dekhiye.. I just wanted to help you. Next time I will make sure I wont even come nearby you.. Promise.
Arnav smirked at her, the first time ever he smirked at a girl ? He couldn't believe himself.. He carried on leaning near her ears which had a long earring dangling in the air.
Arnav: Sorry .. & Thanks..
The two words stuck her head which went on for a world tour in one rotation. The swirling waves of her brain were too much in spinning motion that she didn't even notice that he had left the place. She came back to her senses and ran away from there. This was noticed by one of her cousin who caught her in the midway.
Neha : hmm.Are you planning to organize your shaadi soon?
Khushi : Neha di' I have not even got the right to vote.. how can I marry then?
Neha : pagli.. that's not an issue. Do you know him ?
Khushi (blushing): No di.. I just saw him in the morning. I don't know that laddoo's name even.
Neha : Laddoo ? LOL.. His name is Arnav Singh Raizada' Cousin brother of Anjali bhabhi.. hmm u can call him as her own brother too. ISnt he looking dashing hot?
Khushi : Anjali bhabhi's brother?Hey devimayya' I didn't know di.. Let me ask him sorry for bumping on him in the morning'
Neha : So what ?? By the way do you like him?
Khushi (turning crimson red) : Yea di.. I like his khadoos face and that red nose which get flared by anger.He is truly a laddoo..
Neha : Hey Maya, NIsha, Sheena' come here. Our sister has fallen head over heels for someone.
Khushi tried to close Neha's mouth with her little hand but all in vain. Her cousins who received the "KHushi in Crush with Dulhan's brother" message came to Neha's rescue started teasing her throughout the marriage.
The marriage rituals were done and at the time of bidaai Khushi made sure she would give a final look on her crush as she was sure the she wouldn't be able to meet him anytime in his life. She knew it was just a meeting and a rich guy like him wont even bother to remember her after this. Arnav had noticed how she was stealing glances on him through the marriage ceremony but purposely he didn't reciprocate her glances. After when he came to know that Khushi and all the relatives were leaving, he came behind Khushi who was ironically searching to get a glimpse of him. He cleared the throat making her turn back and widen her eyes in horror.
Khushi : haww.. aap.. errm' what do you want ?
Arnav: Stop giving trouble to your neck' If you want to talk to me, you could have told me on my face.
Khushi : errm' Talk to you? On what ? By the way how do you expect me to talk to you after you had hurt me with your words in the morning ? Inspite of that I did help you when you fainted.
Arnav : I told you sorry for my words and thanks for the help . what else?
Khushi :hmm.. but do you think your sorry is enough for all the pain I went through ?
Arnav : Enough. I have apologized and that matter is over.. No more talks about it.
Khushi : hawww'.How rude ? How can you decide yourself?
Arnav: I don't care about others decision. I have closed the topic. That's it.
His flaring nostrils and moving Adam's apple while talking to her and the way he grits his teeth, each and every action diverted her mind from arguing. She was literally falling for him. She felt she would go weak if she continues to stay there.
Khushi: Fine.. then I don't wish to talk to you again. Bye..
Arnav saw her moving out with her family without even a simple glance. First time Arnav Singh Raizada was bowled over by a girl. "Just an infatuation may be. But how the hell did I get that into my head.. Why do I have to bother about one silly girl? She was the one who had guts to speak out but she did stop at a point and didn't throw tantrums or show off like other girls." She is understanding and caring all the more loving. He liked her. Somewhere in the corner of his heart developed a softness towards her which is unimaginable for a snob like him. What was her name ? He hurried to his only "reliable information provider" and his "secret locker" Anjali who was busy in pouring her tears on her bidaai.
Arnav : Di' ( He called standing between Anjum and Anjali )
Anjali felt bad that her little brother is getting emotional and hugged him crying. She thought Arnav was trying to express how he is gonna miss his di..
Anjali : Chotte.. I understand.. You will miss me so much na.. Don't worry I will keep in touch with you every day. But promise me that you take care of your health and studies properly in London.
Arnav was frustrated that di mistook him to get emotional for her bidaai.
Arnav: Oh di' please.. I know how to take care of me.. Please don't shed buckets of tears thinking of leaving this house. Anyways I know you would come back tomorrow.. I wanted to ask you something else.
Anjali ( breaking the hug with a pout) : What ''.chotte?
Arnav(turning her to face Khushi who was standing near the door with her family chatting with them ): Who is that girl ?
Anjali ( forming a O shape mouth) : Girl ? Do you want to know about that GIRL?
Arnav : So what ? Shouldn't I ask you ? Shall I ask Jijaji directly?
Anjali : errm' no.. what would he think of me and my brothers? Why do you want to know about her ?
Arnav : Di just answer my question. Don't throw unnecessary questions to me!
Anjali : uff.. I cant believe you asking about a GIRL? Well she is Khushi, Shyam's cousin sister. She is studying XII in Delhi Public School. Her father works in a bank, mother is a school teacher and her sister is in college.Her father is Shyam's uncle and is very close to Shyam. What else do you want to know?
Arnav : Enough details Di. Thanks. See you then.
Anjali was about to faint the reaction from her little brother who was just concerned in getting information about the girl from her instead of bidding her farewell to her sasural. She knew he is not good in expressing emotions and feelings after all the bitter incidents happened in his life. She smiled through her tears looking at Khushi and wished she could be the one who would change her chotte's life.
All these thoughts were running as flashback in Arnav and Khushi's eyes which had their positions slicked on to one another. Aman who came inside the cabin by clearing his throat gasped as he witnessed the intense gaze of his boss and his boss' fianc and both in each other's arms.He immediately turned his back towards them.
Aman : errm.. ASR.. its time for the press meet.. Shall we make a move?
Arnav ( who got frustrated ) : AMAN'. You are fired!
Aman : I know I am.. Im running to save my life now.. Bye..
Khushi chuckled at Aman who got a narrow escape from the furious boss turned towards him to pinch his cheeks..
Khushi : aww' ASR.. Look at that reddish nose... my laddoo is getting too much angry now a days..
Khushi : I mean let me touch up atleast.
Arnav: No need.. I don't want anyone to stare at you like that.
Khushi : ASR' who do you think would stare at my face?
Khushi :uff.. but see this is how an so called argument ends. Cant call this an argument.. You are not bothered to listen my views even.
Arnav : Yes.. Im not.. Now stop your blabber and come down.
Khushi : I know to walk.. I don't need any help and don't forget there are many scores to settle from my side on our unfinished arguments.
Arnav : Lets think about it later. Im getting late.. Let me leave. Come down if you wish to.
Khushi : Excuse me.. I came for my official work Mr. ASR.
Arnav : But you were busy with your personal stuff Ms. Gupta.
Khushi : Yea that's my mistake.. Now Im the one to be blamed. Im the only one who does all the mistakes.. Bye..
Khushi stormed out of his office leaving behind a smirking Arnav. He knew she would be back with her apology soon.
After the press meet, Arnav couldn't get even a glimpse of Khushi but learned from Lavanya that she had left his office without even attending the press meet properly. He wanted to deal with her but his work load came in spoiling his mood to settle the issue then and there.
