'I may consider a role in an English serial'

Relate your experience of facing the camera for the very first time?

Till the first two rounds, I was petrified of the camera. I used to even get edgy wondering how I must be looking on camera while shooting the behind-the-scenes episodes. But Hussain and the team taught me how to face the camera and behave uninhibitedly. Then, it was pretty smooth-sailing.

Will you accept roles on TV with this newly-attained comfort level?

Not at all! As much as I love this stint, I don't think I'd ever be able to put in so much effort day-in and day-out. Besides, my Hindi is quite poor, so that would disqualify me automatically. But I may consider a good role in an English serial.

How was it working with Hussain having known him for over 10 years?

It's a different point in our relationship altogether. We have been discovering facets of each other that we never knew existed. Like, Hussain always thought of me as this very timid, shy girl and was amazed to see me give my best performance where we performed to a really wild song.

What kind of promotional tricks have you been adopting to garner votes?

All we have done is put up our posters in our housing colony and have been requesting our friends and family to vote for us.

Audiences seem to have warmed up to you despite you not being a TV actor?

Yes! I am amazed and yet very pleased about it. Maybe, they relate to me as their daughter or niece; you know, in a familial kind of way. But that is not what has determined our approach to campaigning. It's just that with the kind of shy, reclusive people that we both are, we thought that this is the best way we could talk for ourselves.

Unlike other jodis, you have not sought sympathy even when you performed with an injured rib.

It was a conscious decision because we both wanted to feel satisfied that whatever marks we got, we got them for our performance and not out of sympathy for the injury. It would have pricked at our conscience and not allowed us to whole-heartedly enjoy our scores, if we had told the judges that I was performing despite being in so much pain.

Any guesses on who will be the winner of 'Nach Baliye2'?

I think Tanaaz and Bakhtyaar have the maximum chance of taking away the crown, though in my heart, I do hope that the tarot card reader's prediction that we have a chance to win comes true!

its really nice to see good questions have been asked to her which are very simple and staight...otherwise the journalists dont leave any chance to pull celebs legs.... I really wanna see her acting in any show be it hindi/english/marathi 😆... after NB donno how and when and where we could see her
