This is to recall that the four members of world famous "Beatles" gave up drugs in 1968 and decided to become disciples of Maharishi after listening to his holy discourses. This inspired a large section of the young generation of the West to visit India to study mysticism and to find solace from a stressed life there. Recently, Mira has received rave reviews for her latest 'The Namesake', based on Jhumpa Lahiri's novel featuring Tabu in the leading role. Besides, she has plans to make four documentaries on AIDS awareness that will be of twelve minutes duration each. Mira is also planning to make film on the American invasion on Iraq so that she could explain and portray the other side of the story. |
