Mira Nair, world renowned film personality, is all set to make first documentary of her life. It will be on legendary pop group "Beatles" and their inspirational stay at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Ashram in Rishikesh, to learn transcendental meditation. This 90-minute documentary will use archival footage of the pop group, exhaustive interviews and recent views of the temple town to unravel the Beatles' experience in India. This film will explore and scrutinize the broader theme of artistic inspiration and how it proved path-braking for them? Mira Nair's documentary will capture the experience of all the for members of the group and their subsequent transformation and reformation during the stay at Maharishi 's ashram.

This is to recall that the four members of world famous "Beatles" gave up drugs in 1968 and decided to become disciples of Maharishi after listening to his holy discourses. This inspired a large section of the young generation of the West to visit India to study mysticism and to find solace from a stressed life there. Recently, Mira has received rave reviews for her latest 'The Namesake', based on Jhumpa Lahiri's novel featuring Tabu in the leading role. Besides, she has plans to make four documentaries on AIDS awareness that will be of twelve minutes duration each. Mira is also planning to make film on the American invasion on Iraq so that she could explain and portray the other side of the story.
