Here's part 2 of the DeVys of Saraswatichandra

Name -

Kumud - lotus flower

Sundari - beauty

Literal meaning - As beautiful as the lotus

Lotus is considered divine in Indian culture and is symbolic of sexual purity

It represents elegance, grace, perfection and purity and is the epitome of ideal feminine

As a lotus grows in dirty water,

Metaphorically, it represents someone who remains pure and virtuous inspite of being

surrounded by murky circumstances

The elder daughter of Vidyachatur and Gunasundari

The first female graduate of Ratnagiri

A school teacher by profession

Responsible for brining Internet to her village

A teekhi mirchi from outside, meethi on the inside

A brave, strong, fiery and feisty girl

Thats great !!!...but then somewhere i feel by making somebody like goddess pure and sublime takes away the human attributes out of it

...u start epitomizing some much of a person that the person is so bound that he suffocates out of responsibilities and is forced to sacrifice just coz he is considered so pure ...

.i dont want anything like that happen to Kumud in this new version of Saraswatichandra...where i think the woman will empowered rather than shackled by family and society so much that she stops being human and go God

Very well said Shana, and we have seen Kumud going down this road already

Hiding the truth from her dad,

Taking ownership of proving the innocence of Saras and catching Yash

Stopping Saras from going to the river to get matti for pots

This girl has the pressure of perfection to deal with

That will shape her destiny

I just hope it is done in a manner that is logical and sensible, not in a typical cliched manner
