Whenever actors of a popular serial take up a show on a rival channel, problems arise. Gurmeet Choudhary, who is playing the lead role as Yash in Punarvivaah is also doing Nach Baliye Shriman vs Shrimati with his wife Debina. According to sources, Gurmeet hadn't informed the Punarvivaah producer Sumeet Mittal about Nach Baliye but has made it clear that he will be available only for six hours on the days that he shoots for the dance show. "This creates a huge time crunch for the creative team that is constantly at its wit's end, trying to ensure that all the sequences where Gurmeet is required are shot within that stipulated time. Often, one needs to use his duplicate or do way with a sequence as a result of his unavailability," says the source. Though Sumeet agrees that there is a time issue, he maintains that they are working around it. Gurmeet did not respond to our text message. |
