Priyanka Chopra was born on 18th July 1982 in Jamshedpur, Bihar to the family of Lt. Col. Dr. Ashok Chopra and Dr. Madhu Chopra. Her father is Punjabi, while her mother is from Jharkhand. Her brother, Siddharth, is seven years younger.
Due to her parent's occupations their family relocated to Different cities of India, including Delhi, Pune, Lucknow, Bareilly, Ladakh, Chandigarh and Ambala. She studied at the La Martiniere Girl's School in Lucknow as a resident student & a short stay at Maria Goretti College in Bareilly prepared her for further studies in the USA. Having completed tenth grade in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, she decided to become a software Engineer or a Criminal Psychologist.
Priyanka Chopra has many memories as a child of playing in the valleys of Leh, in the cold north western Indian desert region of Jammu and Kashmir. She has said: "I think I was in Class 4 when I was in Leh. My brother was just born. My dad was in the army and was posted there. I stayed in Leh for a year and my memories of that place are tremendous. I have amazing memories of Leh. We were all army kids there. We weren't living in houses, we were in bunkers in the valley and there was a stupa right on top of a hill which used to overlook our valley. We used to race up to the top of the stupa and that too 'nange paon' (bare feet). We used to go to the market then."
In 2000 she returned to India and enrolled in Jai Hind College and Basant Singh Institute of Science in Churchgate, Bombay, but had to leave she was crowned Miss India. Priyanka hails from an army background and was brought up in a middle class family in Bariley.

Well let me start by my 1st meeting experience it was her beautiful team (team priyanka) which helped me meet her for the first time when she had come to my city(bangalore) i was nervous,shivering and waiting to meet her and the moment she arrived i was super excited and later as she walked towards me i couldnot believe it,my dreams wer coming true and i was almost gonna faint but controlled and the way she said hi was so sweet,she listens to her fans like a friend and i told her about how much i loved her and about my page which i had for her and she had a sweet smile on her face,she gave me an autograph,took a picture with me and while leaving she called out my name and said thanks which literally melted my heart,laster she was crowded by fans and she tried waving at everyone.
The second incident i feel is the best one because so many incidents happened.
well let me start by telling that i and my friend had won a contest and unfortunaletly we were 5mins late as it took us 2 hours to find the place and the moment we were there to meet priyanka,we got to know that she was leaving in her car,we were so let down but we never gave up because being a #pcmaniac we learnt that we should never do so in life but try our best,we ran behind her car,the security didnot allow us to see her but we didnot stop running,there was a red signal and her car had stopped,the moment she saw us she asked the driver to stop even though the signal turned green she was in the middle of an interview she was so sweet to us she took our gifts we had taken for her and thats not all she even asked one of the men from the organisers that we should be present in the next place where she would be going which was 15mins far from the place she consoled us and we were on cloud nine,we were at there at the next place and as soon as she saw us she came towards her consoled us and though crowd began gathering she made time to not only take a picture with us yet again but she told us not to worry and be sad and also she gave us In My City audio CD and waved at us by saying "bye".
All in all, the best way to describe Priyanka Chopra's relationship with her fans is "magical" and "unreal".
