So just recently we saw a filmfare cover featuring Amit ji, Shahrukh, and Dilip Kumar ji. And I questioned why no actresses? I really wish they had done 3 actors & 3 actresses because the gals have contributed a lot to our industry and its unfair to leave them out! 😕

So many actresses can fit the category. If you had to narrow it down to 3, who would you chose?

I think the following actresses def made a difference in the industry. Some have done better than others, but they have given a number of good films. Some have been underrated while others have been overrated.

The nomination list (in my opinion) includes:

1) Madhubala ji

2) Sridevi

3) Hema Malini ji

4) Jaya Bachchan ji

5) Rekha ji

6) Madhuri

7) Karisma

8) Juhi

9) Kajol

10) Rani

11) Aishwarya

12) Tabu

13) Vidya

14) Nutan ji

15) Nargis ji

To narrow it down to 3 is a hard choice. What are your picks?

But if I had to choose then Sridevi, Bebo, and Sanjay Dutt's mom who was in Mother India can't recall her name

after madhuri there was no actress who had enough starpower to carry a movie IMO
and now its katrina era i think

Waheeda Rehman, Sridevi and Madhuri.

As Waheeds Rehman represents Dilip Kumar Saheb's era.

Sridevi was in Amitabh jee era

While Madhuri was in SRK era.

Sridevi & Madhuri were superstars of their respective era.

If you look on the website they have already shortlisted the Top 10:

- Madhuri Dixit

While I think it's a fairly decent list, I find it appalling that Sridevi and Kajol are missing. Even if I'm not the biggest Kajol fan.

Seriously - what is Madhubala doing in the list - she was not known for her acting! And I know this might be controversial but I've seen some of her work, and I dont' think Nargis was all that great either. If I had to make a shortlist I would have:

- Meena Kumari

- Nutan

- Jaya Bachchan

- Rekha

- Shabana Azmi

- Sridevi

- Madhuri Dixit

- Kajol

- Rani Mukherji

- Aishwarya Rai
