Meera knew Akash as a very good human when she was in a relationship with him and rightly so, Akash has always been a mature and sensitive man, it was only after bad things started happening to him, he lost his head. May be even Akash must not have imagined that he had such an evil side to his personality, he is still discovering it by loosing a bit of his brain cells everyday.
When Sudha informed Akash that Meera has married Prithvi, he was shattered but still wanted to back off and did not want to take Meera back, it was stupid Sudha who convinced him that Meera is sacrificing her life for theri sake and she is not happy, she insisted that Akash should come and take Meera away.
When Meera told Akash about her love for Prithvi and ended their long standing relationship, he accepted it even though he was not happy and wished Meera a good life. What he could not come to terms with, was the fact that Prithvi is his step brother and how his father kept this secret for so long. This was the turning point for Akash, later when Prithvi ill treated Meera by breaking all relations with her and left her in DTs house, Akash saw hope of getting Meera back in his life. He convinced her by promising that he will help her come close to Prithvi, may be he thought that he will be successful in convincing Meera that Prithvi is not the right guy for her. But, unfortunately for Akash every plan of his backfired pushing him towards madness day by day. Now, it has come to a point of no return for him, as he has been possessed by his Junoon that is hatered towards Prithvi and pain of loosing Meera.
Meera is indebted to Akash for life, as she thinks that it was Akash who made her marriage to Prithvi possible. Akash has been very smart in hiding his real intentions by using the trust factor, there was no way Meera or anyone else could find out aything. So, cant really blame Meera here given her past experience with Akash and Akash's own track record, there was no way poor girl could have got any inkling of what a mess she has gotten into. But, the day she gets a hint that Akash was the one who tried to kill Prithvi and creator of all troubles, she is going to retaliate and stand like a wall to stop Akash and I hope this happens very soon.
