I can now understand why Dugba was so against the marriage proposal between Saras and Kumud. But yes, this revelation makes me wonder why Vidyachatur isn't bothered about his own daughter marrying into the family of the one who abandoned his sister at the mandap... An alliance into the Laxminandan's family should have re-opened old wounds and atleast brought about some doubts reg whether Kumud will be happy in that family...while all this was evident in Dugba, I'm surprised by the lack of doubts or worry in Kumud's father...
