Shweta, Manav shown the door

It's over! Manav Gohil and
Shweta Kawaatra
Embroiled in the SIM cards controversy to garner more votes on Nach Baliye 2, Manav Gohil and Shweta Kawaatra bounced back with impressive performances over the last few weeks. But it was too good to last.

The couple's illustrious calling in the show came to an end this Wednesday, when they found themselves in the danger zone, along with with Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan. This episode will be aired on Monday.

Aap jaa sakte hain

This particular round involved solo performances. The couples ended up with the same score from the judges (48 points), but Gauri-Hiten dominated the public votes once again. Eventually, Shweta and Manav got axed. Prior to this, the couple had landed in the danger zone twice.
When contacted, Manav sounded very low and would only say, "I am not supposed to talk about this."

But our sources on the sets confirmed Manav and Shweta's ouster saying, "Manav danced superbly and even got a Natraj trophy from the judges, but Shweta goofed up very badly."

The outgoing couple did not take the popularity factor too well. Our source said that they felt that they were the better dancers than Gauri-Hiten and hence should have remained.

Bad performance

But a contestant (requesting anonymity) who is still in the fray told us, "The competition has reached that stage where only the current performance matters. I don't think Manav and Shweta could have remained after Shweta's bad performance on Wednesday.

If Hiten and Gauri edged them out thanks to public votes, it's not their fault that they are so popular. It was a tie all right, but Hiten and Gauri were both on par (24 points each). On the other hand, Shweta managed to score only 18 points. Since Nach Baliye is all about jodis, they lost."

Its sad..and very unfortunate.

Manav-Shweta were excellent dancers.. Shweta came a looong way from the first episode. They never feared of trying new things..and everything worked for them, except audience support

Besides audience support, its a bit of bad luck that shweta didn't do well this time.

Ofcourse they are better dancers than Ght, but in this round since both have received 48 one can't state solemnly that Gauri Hiten's performances are lack-lustre.

They both scored an equal score, which at this stage is what is sought after. Besides it isn't really Gauri-Hiten's fault that they are loved immensely.

I am sure the moment the 2 of them were left in the danger zone, shweta and manav must have known the results.

Its sad though, yes, but Gauri-hiten have performed well for a change this time, and for that im thankful to God.

it is indeed very sad and unfortunate that when they got perfect and near perfect scores on fantastic performances, there were no eliminations...and this time when shweta didn't score well, they had to leave 😭😭😭 ...

however, before i can comment on how shweta k did, i would like to see all their performances in solo...we've seen discrepancies in judges comments and marks quite a few times....so i am not sure if that could be a case here....i'm reminded of archana-parmeet's ouster last year, at the end of the solo round...even she didn't do well, but parmeet was very good...

whimsical_soul, being a hardcore G-Ht fan, i appreciate your sympathetic attitude toward M-S...as for some people screaming and blaming other couples irrationally, all i can say is that i haven't seen most of them support M-S ever before (when they were good and bad...i know most of those who liked their performances)...i think they are just using this opportunity to vent their frustrations, and are disguising as M-S fans....

i look forward to M-S performances in finals now...

still a very upset peaches 😭

Who is this anonymous contestant? 😡 The voting was done watching the Regional theme and Manav-Shweta were the best in that. Bad luck!
