The couple that survived the SMS controversy are voted out
Manav Gohil and Shweta Kawaatra, the couple who aren't really known for their dancing prowess, but had been steadily improving their skills in the last few weeks, have been voted out of 'Nach Baliye2' (Star One).
Last week, they had wowed the judges with their tribal dance. On that performance, Saroj Khan had said, "It was a new idea and most importantly, they did not copy it from the film. Shweta looked wonderful in her tribal get-up." Sources say, this time too, the duo's performance was excellent and won acclaim from the judges.
This was the first time, however, that the show has done away with the system of internal voting which necessitated competing couples to vote out one of the least rated two couples. This means that the voting out was solely on the basis of audience votes, and the public has decided that it wants no more of Manav- Shweta. Viewers will recollect Shweta being moved to tears in the first episode of the show by judge Saroj Khan comments of appearing too 'manly'.
The episode, to be aired on Monday, is hosted by Sai Deodhar and Shakti Anand. Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan were the other couple who were in the danger zone along with Manav-Shweta.
Much to his surprise, Manav receives a special gift- a Natraj statue- from the judges as a token for their performances.
