I feel very bad after seeing that Saras is so dumb, a business man like him should at least have some dignity and self respect, very poor characterization. I feel the story is happening in the 70s or even 60s.

having moral values and following mother's word is called showing respect not dumb.

i disagree! he is not dumb, he is doing what he thinks is rt and best for a family that he thinks has some moral values, he is doing all this for VC, who is not only his father's friend but also a thorough gentleman who gives more value to love than money! if u think he is doing wrong by helping a good man's family from breaking then he is for sure dumb! saras, according to the novel and the way he is raised is selfless, he takes other people's pain on himself because that is the way he is!

he is respectful !

u must have seen the promos everywhere he had been shown a man with respect and moral values...and at end of it there is a tag line...aaj kal aise ladke milte kahan hain...

so this what Saras is something modern generation is somehow missing in its spree to be called cool and modern

rt shana, now who wears dhoti and dips in cold water to pray for father's long life! doesn't that sound too old, no one objected to that because in that scene he was showing his 36 abs and he looked cool😉!
