'Huh' Moments of the Week (1 - 5/4/13)

What a heart-wrenching week it was! I was so hooked onto every episode. But I'm back with more 'huh' moments from this week anyway; strange moments that don't make sense always find their way to daily soaps. Here they are:

'Huh' moment 1: Tanveer's recollection of Asad's family from childhood

Tanveer's narration to Zoya in the car about Asad's family's past was in itself quite sad. Dilshaad was broken and Asad couldn't stop crying, and how Dilshaad single-handedly brought up her two children. So Tanveer witnessed all of their hardships first hand, and she was supposedly very close to Asad. So now I bring up the same question I had from two weeks ago, what exactly is Tanveer's problem?! Her indifference towards destroying Asad's family is seriously startling. She knows that Asad and his family have already had a hard time all these years, and she was Asad's close friend, so why is she hell-bent on being so villainous towards them? At first I really thought she might be broke, so it might be out of desperation for money. But they also showed us that Tanveer has a good business going in Kanpur, what with her Masterji calling her up with money orders and all. And even if she were broke still, she could simply ask Asad for help instead of trying to kill him and his family. So I rule out money as the driving factor. Then what else could it be? Why is she taking revenge on a bunch of innocent people? Her character still makes zero sense to me. I really wish they'd explain to us why Tanveer is so hateful towards the very same people she spent her childhood with, happily. I'm still appalled that she tried to burn them alive!

'Huh' moment 2: Razia & Tanveer's conversation at the kabrastan

So by the end of this scene, we can gather that Tanveer is planning to humiliate Razia in some way or the other, so we might get to see Tanveer backstab Razia. But so far, Tanveer has been following Razia's instructions (for money once again, which I still don't understand), when she's got 2 of Razia's dirtiest secrets at her disposal. Tanveer knows Razia is a murderer, and now she also knows that Razia's husband had a child out of wedlock. So why isn't she using these two secrets to accomplish her mission? She can easily bring these secrets out to the open and let alone being humiliated, Razia will go to freaking jail if all of that comes out. Instead, all Tanveer has been doing is accomplishing Razia's mission. She hates Razia!! So why in the world does she keep helping her? Money doesn't cut it seriously. All this just makes Tanveer look like a really lousy villain. Once again, Tanveer's character is beyond my comprehension.

'Huh' moment 3: Zoya immediately starts packing

I'm not sure what day it was in the show on that day, but everyone kept saying Zoya is leaving on Sunday. If Sunday were the very next day, they'd say tomorrow, not Sunday, so it meant that Zoya had at least one or two more entire days in the house before she would apparently leave. So why did she start packing so early? Maybe that's personal choice I guess, maybe she likes packing early. But then they showed Zoya dumping her iPad into her bag as one of the first few items to go in. I travel a lot myself, but when I do, gadgets like my phone/laptop etc are packed last, right before I leave for the airport, because I'm still going to use this stuff before leaving. So Zoya decided that she was so upset she wasn't even going to use her iPad for the next two days? I find it so strange that she packed it so early :p

'Huh' moment 4: Asad agreeing to book tickets for Zoya

Zoya clearly said: "Nahi nahi dates aagle shift nahi karni hai, meri booking CANCEL kar dijiye. Actually main jaa hi nahi rahi hoon. Yes, issi Sunday ki thi booking. Okay right." That was her last sentence before she put the phone down and then they showed Asad's face. He immediately went to Tanveer and asked her if Zoya CANCELLED her tickets. For him to come to this conclusion, he must've heard her say the part about meri booking cancel kar dijiye. So he must've also heard the part where she said MAIN JAA HI NAHI RAHI HOON. So why did he still believe Tanveer's illogical reasoning?! So upsetting ):

'Huh' moment 5: ALL the black magic scenes

I mean seriously, what is the point of all that crap. I felt bewildered each time they showed any of these scenes because I was simply appalled at its stupidity. It may have a point in the future, but I just feel it's taking really long to get there. It's like an overdose of making Shireen look like a fool. I personally like Shireen, so I hate that they're messing with her.

Highlight of the week: Asad consoling Zoya

For me, all those scenes of Asad being Zoya's strength in her time of need were simply mind-blowing. The song sequence at the kabrastan especially, it was so sad, I literally had tears in my eyes. Surbhi and Karan looked so natural and real, I could actually feel their pain; Zoya's pain for the loss of her abbu she so badly wanted to meet, and Asad's pain for watching the love of his life break down in front of him. I hope this misunderstanding about the air tickets clear up soon, I hate watching them fight!!

1. Tanveer does not hate or love asad's family. Shes just being selfish. It does not matter whether its asad or tom dick and harry. She would have done the same

2. This makes sense but still she has to do without her true colors getting exposed. She might already know razia's capabilities, it will not take a lot of time to finish tanveer off. I also doubt if they share some part which we are yet to know!!

3. Lol..agree with this. Even I wondered if Sunday was next day itself. May be, its some kind of emotionally blackmailing asad, as if saying, see I'm all set to go 😉

4.I think he did not listen to what she spoke on phone. I'm going to give him that benefit of doubt

5. Agree. Utter crap. I think more of a filler as ksg is going on vacation for few days so they have to keep his scenes in bank so w do not miss him on the show. Nevertheless its utter crap, can't bear to watch those scenes

Yeah I guess you're right about Tanveer being selfish, but it's just really strange that she became so stone-hearted. I wish they'd show us what happened to her so harsh in life that she had to become the way she is! And I totally didn't think of Tanveer getting exposed herself, very good point. I guess that's why she's delaying her revenge! Hopefully she has something good up her sleeve.

Haha the whole Asad watching Zoya leave thing is actually really entertaining to watch. It's just so sad that a misunderstanding is creeping up between them again. But I guess without a misunderstanding the story will probably be quite boring haha. As for the black magic thing, couldn't they have thought of another filler? Like maybe focus on Ayaan & Humeira, I really wouldn't mind. I hate watching Shireen getting tortured it's so sad ): And black magic in itself freaks me out a little, so it's really uncomfortable to watch.

1. I'm appalled too at Tanu's deeds. I fail to understand her motive. Of course they drifted apart when she was 13 and she may have fallen into some bad company. I can understand if she came back to get the doll for money although like you said it doesn't make sense because she has a flourishing business. It's obviously not revenge cos she speaks so fondly of khala and jammy. Nothing explains her wanting to burn them alive. That was really cruel. I hope cv's provide a good back story for Tanveer and a reason behind her actions.

2. More than sending Razia to jail I think she wanted to get back at her by marrying Asad which would give her an equal status as that of Razia in the society. What would she gain by sending Razia to jail? She would still be a single mom with "ganda khoon flowing in her body" (in Razia's words)

3.Well I start packing atleast 10 days before so I think it's ok that Zoe starts packing early. I noticed too that she put iPad in her check-in but I chose to let it slide.😊

4. I agree with poster above. It's possible Asad may not have heard the convo but saw Zoe talking on the phone and hoped she was cancelling the tickets which he wanted to confirm by asking the wrong person.

5. Black magic scenes are freaking me out. I'm fast fwding them. So can't really understand what's its purpose other than to create MU between badi B and Shireen although I don't understand why. But disturbing nevertheless.

KSG and SJ were brilliant in all of the episodes. They bring ASAYA alive.

I totally agree with you about a lack of background story for Tanveer, it makes her character so difficult to digest. But her marrying Asad still won't really help her humiliate Razia, Razia will still be a highly respected figure in society. At most it'll help her stop Razia from humiliating her, but she would still not have accomplished her goal of humiliating Razia. I hope she has something good planned, that won't affect Asad & Zoya's relationship. But that's wishful thinking...

Haha I've always found packing up scenes in serials very strange, with the character dumping clothes in without folding, or even better, dumping them in with the hangers still on. Zoya was dumping clothes without folding, but I assumed it's because her character is supposed to be a messy one. But dumping the iPad in early seriously caught my attention this time hahaha which is why I put it down here :p

And black magic freaks me out too!! I really don't understand what Razia is trying to do, I hope they just get to the point soon and stop showing us this black magic stuff gosh.
