Undoubtedly, today's episode was a memorable one, portraying the emotions so utterly beautifully. But more than Asad, I was surprised and intrigued by Zoya today. One thing led to another and I found myself in the midst of life-changing epiphanies! Well, not really life-changing but still...

The first thing that struck me was that how easily Zoya decided that she was not going. Okay I know we are all, including me, 24x7 goo-goo-gah-gah over AsYa and their extraordinary love, but at the end, we are still looking at it with an outsiders' perspective, someone who has witnessed Asad's daydreams and the tantrums he throws in his room when he feels his emotions slipping, but Zoya is not. What she feels for him and what she thinks he feels for her is solely emotion-based. Besides the forgotten bhaang scene, they have never actually admitted what they feel for each other, besides their annoyance. Hence, for Zoya to actually make up her mind, in that one instance, to say that she is going to stay - it is a big thing and although love is a big part of it, I am still going to give credit to the depth of her character and personality.

What is Zoya really made of? No for real...thinking from a logical perspective, she has no LOGICAL reason to stay. And like Zoya said - she is STILL a guest, no matter how warm the members of the house are, and now that she has no real motive behind staying, what is really her reasoning besides the fact that she is much too attached to the family she lives with. The fact that sort of surprised me is that, that is just it. That is enough reason for her to stay. And I realized that that is just the amazing thing about Zoe. She always listens to her heart. And that is exactly why she is so the opposite to Mr. Asad Ahmed Khan, and why she is his perfect match. She is the perfect match for the Asad who felt so much, a whole new extreme level of emotions, since the time he saw Zoya break (I saw those fists clenching, the control it was taking not to break with her) and then when she talked about leaving. So many emotional reasons to stop her from going - but no logical one, unless he was prepared to indadvertedly admit that he loved her presence too much to imagine life without it. And once again, the logical side did win.

I remember an IF article with an interview with Gul Khan where she laughs and says that Oh! Zoya is more than just liberal-minded. And then it struck me once more, what Zoe really is symbolic of. She symbolizes the way of life that is guided not by some rule book created by society and carried around by people like Mr. Khan, but by an inner light. Inner compassion and love for humanity. I myself being a part of the same society did find myself wondering whether Zoya was right or wrong in the actions she took. In fact, from the very first decision of running away from her marriage, I wondered how right or wrong the decision really was. But then I soon realized that the fact that she listens to her heart without caring about what others will judge her actions by, IS Zoya's biggest strength and in a way, what saves her each time. Imagine if she had married that psycho Akmar dude, someone who was ready to drug her and force her into a relationship for his selfish motives! Imagine if, she like her Mr. Khan readily jumped to "logical" conclusions in the Gudiya factory fiasco and didn't instead listen to her heart that believed in her Phoophi's belief!

In short, Asad needs to learn a lot from her and realize the fact that he could not get a better companion than Zoya, in order to complete his life. This was so evident especially in the Mangalpur days...They are stuck in life-or-death situations, but we still have Zoya, the heart, hollering about forceful marriages and injustice and who kidnapped Ansh and what-not, while Asad, the brain, is trying to make her shut up and realize that they will only do anything if they can get out alive! Asad, just like the lion he is named after, is a survivor. And Zoya...just like what she is named after, will be the one to teach the lion, not to survive, but how to live life.

Hey guys! 😃
I know the intro should have come before especially since half of you are probably asleep by now ...yea umm, sorry about the length 😳...I just kind of got carried away and I know for a fact that that is something you people will understand because we are all one crazy bunch of AsYa-obsessed people! Which is why I really could not stop myself from making my first real post on this forum because honestly, by this time, my sister claims that she will not be able to handle one more word about Qubool Hai from my mouth and to please spare her the torture. She doesn't know what she is missing. Oh gosh, I am ranting again. So I'll just get to the point that I think you guys do an amazing job analyzing and keeping this forum active and please keep it up! 😃

I hope my post did not completely bore you and I would love to hear your guys' opinions as well! 😊

This. THIS is the essence of Zoya Farooqui which you have so beautifully penned down. As a person who is very emotionally attached to Zoya's character, I take delight in reading posts such as yours and many others on the QH forum. Thank you so much for this!

OMG I can't describe how I'm feeling seeing you in this forum!!! I last saw you in the DEK forum, remember me? It's ok if you dont! I had only commented once or twice in your FF "Fallen Angel" but I had read each and every chapter and had absolutely LOVED them!⭐️
Don't bother about the length of the post, we love listening to your rants, especially if it's about AsYa!
I never thought I would become emotionally attached to any show after DEK ended so abruptly, but I was wrong. Once I started watching Qubool Hai and witnessed the scene at the dargah when Asad stares at the weeping figure that is Zoya, I was hooked to the show and eagerly anticipated the next episode, and the next, and the next.😃
The post was amazing, and that's an understatement. How did you manage to bring out the essence of Zoya's character so beautifully?😃
Exactly. Zoya doesn't even know the actual depth of Asad's feelings and yet she decided to stay on receiving the work permit, which must have been an extremely difficult decision to make, as as confict was being waged between her head and her heart, which you mentioned in the post. Zoya probably didn't want to go back to New York herself, but she thought it was a practical decision, as one cannot stay in somebody else's house forever, even though the people who live there are like family, as one is, at the end of the day, a guest.
Zoya had shut down her mixed feelings for Asad for a while, making the search for her father her ultimate goal (while gazing at the dancing couple and remembering Asad and Tanveer, remember?). Her emotions were for a while all directed towards her "mourning". But Zoya has become so accustomed to tragedies that she has been able to clear her mind a bit, become a little more emotionally stable, and listen to her heart, and not her head.
All she probably wanted to hear was some word of protest from Asad when she said the words "I should go back, hai na Mr. Khan?", which never came...remember how she looked at Asad after saying this, and seeing his "impassive" face, thought that he was unfazed by her decision to go back, which is why she abruptly got up to leave?
Asad has become quite the master of masking his inner feelings and is thus often misunderstood to be cold and indifferent outside, even if he might be going through an emotional turmoil on the inside. All Zoya saw was his face, and not the chenched fist which reflected how Asad was trying hard to protest, but couldn't due to some inexplicable reason.
Zoya has always been one to listen to her heart, not caring about what the "society" might think, and never changing her outlook and her attire to satisfy someone's orthodox mentality. She feels it isn't necessary to aways do something that will please others. One should remain true to oneself, and not project a morphed image of who one is. By doing this, you only fool your own self. THIS is what made me so emotionally attached to Zoya's character, even more than Asad's.
Gah, I can't even imagine Zoya acting like a Miss. Goody Two-Shoes like our very own "Trustworthy Tannu". 😡 And I refuse to imagine how Zoya's life would have been like if she had married that douchebag who goes by the name of "Akram".🤢
I LOVED you concluding lines about Asad being a survivor (a lion) and Zoya being the one to teach him how to live life, and not just survive it!! He really needs to loosen up a bit, he's too uptight, and we HAVE witnessed a marked change in Asad's behaviour in the past few days...Zoya's antics which previously used to annoy him are now endearing and even have brought a smile to his face. He even thinks of bringing Zoya a cake to revive her mood and bring her back to her usual, bubbly self. All this has been possible only because of Zoya's influence on him. He himself said that Ms. Farooqi would make him mad someday, making him do things that he had never done before, something none of us expected him to do...way to go, Zoya!👏
Ha ha, whenever you want to gush about how you love QH, or want to analyze any situation, you're welcome to post here, anytime. I'm sure that after reading this, your posts will become as eagerly awaited, by all forum members, as the daily written updates!😊
Don't worry about introducing yourself after the post, I just barged into this forum and started giving comments without bothering to introduce myself😆...
P.S Phew, that was quite a long comment! Anyway, I'm waiting for your next post!😃

Wow ! Quite a write-up about Zoya's character. Loved it.

Zoya in today's episode while talking to puphi and indirectly to Mr. Khan and then directly to him, made it clear that she is not always the girl who just lives the moment in her fun filled activities and shayaris. She made it clear to Mr. Khan on how hurt she was for his words towards her. By doing this she showed that she is infact his Ms. Fit, who can keep him under check, control him and guide him in his life, because he needs this guidance.

He needs some body who can vocalize his unsaid words, who can drive him to necessary actions. Without her, Asad will remain incomplete. He has realized it long back. And today, by following her heart and deciding to stay, Zoya also is realizing this fact.

Kudos to writers and CVs for creating such an amazing characters and kudos to KSG and Surbhi for potraying it to perfection.

Omg...of course I remember you! In fact I doubt I can forget any of u amazing people from the DEK forum forum and yea I do remember ur encouraging comments on my SS as well..
And thanks so much for ur beautiful addition to the post, u write very beautifully u know :)
And I completely agree with everything u wrote..thank god zoya is the way she is and truly I cant wait for asad to realize that he has fallen in love with the girl who opposes every which rule he believes in...their contrast is so out there - he respects them but at the same time restricts them as he believes in safety and security for women..but zoya fights for their freedom..and I cant wait for both sides to reconcile 😊
I would love to go on but im kinda at school right now so I will catch u later <3
Oh and I haven't talked to fia for some time now..we both got busy but don't u worry...im an expert at converting people into asya fans and I will get to her soon! 😉
