Episode 238 Discussion: 5th April 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.
Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.

Episode 238 Discussion - EOD Summary

Holi Hai !! - Part 3 - Bhujang's Khoon ki Holi is a Big Flop and CVs declare that they have gone Mad.

Events of the Episode

Sultan and Bhujang are shown to be indulging in silly talk of who's smarter and braver between the two. They are not pulling trigger on each other. Bhujang is told by Sultan that he killed his 4 men. Bhujang sees them and Sultan attacks him from behind throwing away B's pistol in water. In the resulting strangling, Bhujang throws color in Sultan's eyes blinding him and throws away the pistol away. Bhujang goes to get the pistol to shoot blind Sultan. Madhu comes, picks up the pistol, points at Bhujang and threatens him to go away from there else she will gun him down. Sultan asks her not to leave Bhujang and gun him down. Bhujang runs away. Sultan is mad at Madhu for letting Bhujang get away and having not shot him when she had the chance or she could also have handed the gun to him. Madhu is shivering in fear and blurts that she cannot kill anyone. Sultan realizes what a mistake he is making thinking Madhu can shoot anyone.
Padmini and chawl-people come out. After assuring themselves that Madhu is fine, they ask questions, what's going on and who is Sultan and what is he doing in Roma's Apt. Madhu tells them all that she gave shelter to them as Sultan had no place to go when he was hurt. The chawl people are really upset that a gangster has been given shelter exposing them to life-endangering consequences. Madhu through using CV's convoluted justification, snubs the chawl people that she is returning their help extended to her pregnant mother and also saving her sister. She says likewise she saw an injured man and brought him home and if she is considered a stupid person for helping anyone without being discrete or be discriminatory, she is okay to be called a stupid person.
Further inside the apartment, Padmini again through using CV's convoluted justification, tells Madhu bonding with Aryan is beyond the purview of being right and wrong. That Madhu has all along acted as she has acted as Madhu learned all that being in Padmini's womb. She praises for saving Sultan by coloring him in that manner. Madhu wants to massage Padmini's feet and since the oil is finished, Madhu goes out to get the oil.
RK back at his home, with whiskey glass in his hand, thinking how Madhu colored Sultan instead of him. He starts remembering all Madhu-Sultan scenes to cover screentime. Thankfully to avoid us further boredom, his mother Radhaji walks in and asks the question, why he wanted to color Madhu first. RK yells aloud he doesn't know. He starts baring his heart to his mother, how Madhu has moved while he was still stuck on. He tells her how no one sees that including her mother. Radhaji tells him that Padmini knows all about it and she trusts Madhu. RK is upset that his mother went behind him to talk for him with Madhu's mother. Radhaji says she was concerned for him, could not see his pain and so went and asked. Then RK asks, if she was so concerned for him why did she slap him and ready to leave him and go away. As Radhaji tries to explain why she did that, Bittuji comes and informs them there has been a shootout in the Chawl. Episode ends.

Both Sultan and Bhujang need to read this. Perhaps that will teach them a lesson or two in how to be an Evil Overlord oops Gangster.

Sultan finally realizes that Madhu is not a murderer. How could he even think that she could kill someone in cold blood like that? Well atleast he realized his mistake.

The chawlwaasi's have their say. Madhu needed to hear it, she had to realize the danger she put them in without consulting with them. And there it is .. Madhu is trying to forward the help, support, and safe harbor given to her by the people in her life to Sultan & Co. That speech felt as if she was speaking to me, telling me off for being frustrated with her, for making Lord knows how many comments on her stupidity in helping a gangster. Damn nice! Sabka mooh band bakwas band. Still, I think that she misinterprets the circumstances.. Sultan being a gangster makes everything she said mute.

Sultan just stared.. He seems to be seeing her for the first time. He didn't know of the hardships that went to bringing Madhu into the world, and the ones which were suffered just to keep her alive thereafter. I hope he realizes that Madhu's helping Aryan and Sultan gets helped simply by virtue of being his father.

RK is stuck on Sultan and Madhu. But he took so long to pick up that glass of alcohol .. as if he was trying not to. He was so subdued when he requested his mother to leave him alone for sometime. Radhaji asks one of the many questions to which RK still has no answer and his pain turns into angry & erupts.

Kisi ko kuch nahin dik raha. Kisi ko Sultan ka badta pyar nahin dik raha. But Madhu .. everyone but RK can tell that she still loves him. She is still your deewaani RK! Take off the pata of insecurity and you will see it clear as day. You remember what happened after the dance but not during it. You remember what happened when Madhu left you and ran to Sultan, but not the way she trembled at your touch, lost herself in your passion before it.

Why did Bittooji have to interrupt such a much needed conversation between Mother and Son? That is his work profile I guess .. be a kabab main haddi to every important moment when breakthroughs are about to happen.

And now RK, fearing for Madhu's safety will force her to return to his mansion.

i dunno how ppl in chawl listen to Madhu's bashan including Padmini

Padmini was a helpless and pregnant woman whom chawl ppl helped, Sultan is a gangster who kills ppl in flith of a second - is there a diff or not???

i wont consider this act as mahaan act of Madhu but rather a selfish act...even after watching so much violence she is still defending Sultan in chawl, after a shootout where anyone cud have died 🤔

now after all this nonsense i wud say there is nothing wrong if Madhu is back to RK...she will get more pagal if she stays in chawl for any longer 🤪...its hard to decide who is more wrong - RK or Madhu? 😕

Something to think on:-

In the ending of Jan and beginning of Feb, we had scenes of RishBala in that village followed by un-wedding. In the ending of Feb and beginning of March, we had the scenes of RishBala cutely drunk followed by Sultan's entry. In the ending of March and beginning of April, we have an incredibly sensuous RishBala Holi which seems set to be followed by more rounds of fights between the them.

So I guess, I'll left hanging till the end of this month for more unadulterated scenes of RishBala.

The beginning "fight" b/w Bhujang-Sultan🤣 SO much unintentional hilarity that I can't even describe it properly...even more hilarious was the way Sultan was flailing about like a zombie after Bhujang put color in his eyes😆😆

And umm Sultan asking Madhu to SHOOT the guy? A bit much...

Didn't have the patience for the Madhu-chawlwaasis bhaashan bits so forwarded

RK was just ranting and raving crazily at Radhaji in the latter scene...I don't think any real purpose was served...they were talking about all kinds of things without leading to any point.

Ending was good though...I hope there is more to the precap other than the usual bickering b/w them...RK is pissed off about Sultan but still wants to protect Madhu.

I guess I need to brush up my definition of 'shootout'. As far as I can remember, only one shot was fired, that too by Sultan, in air. Bhujang's men and Bhujang himself didn't get a chance to fire. Alas! Anyways, maybe there's no need to go by the literal meaning of 'shootout'. Shootout = Murder. And 4 bodies were dropped out of which I'm sure at least 2 are dead.

After the scene from yesterday's precap was shown, Madhu holds Bhujang at gunpoint with a shaking hand. Like I said, no one is ever gonna die from standing at a gunpoint. And then I couldn't believe my ear! Was Sultan actually telling her to kill Bhujang! Not only he is comfortable with murdering people, he assumes that people accompanying him will be too. Well that just his survival instincts. But nonetheless, Madhu needs to wake up from this. Why Sultan is doing what he is doing, now or all along his life, is his business. Not Madhu's. Helping a person in need is indeed a virtue every parent or elder should instill in a child. But accepting help or depending on that beyond a certain point of time and expecting that it'll keep on coming is also something we shouldn't get used to. Sultan needs to realise that the safety of his child is his responsibility and his only and not a burden of this young girl who has to go about her own life. The stunt Madhu pulled today, was very noble and heroic but probably will get her and her family and maybe RK in deep deep trouble, because Bhujang wasn't finished off today. He was saved for a reason.

I won't get into RK jaap today, because his reaction to everything was quite predictable, even when he finds out that his mother has been talking to his MIL.

Madhu's speech to the chawl people today - I couldn't decide if this really her or if this is the broken girl finally unwinding. Were the chawl people selfish or mean to talk like that? Absolutely no. You can't blame them because probably they are also standing up for their own family. They too have innocent kids to protect. Bringing Sultan home and subsequently Bhujang along the steps, was plain naivety on Madhu's part, and pure selfishness on Sultan's. Madhu's earnest pleading to the chawl people was honest and pure and correct if you go by her thought processing. But does that make the situation alright? It doesn't. Madhu is walking the path of valor and high moral but now the simple line between basic right and wrong is blurring for her. And someone with a practical thinking, who cares for her earthly happiness, needs to hold her back and make her see things from an alternative point of view. Like Padmini. Don't scold her or condone her actions. There is a middle way to show her that Arayn is to be protected 100% but there must be a better way out there to do that which does not involve Madhu taking up the role of his mother full time. And please, I refuse to believe that after these many years in his gangster business, Madhu is Sultan's last ray of hope.

Wasn't using the word 'Dhoka" a bit too much by the chawl people?

The chawl-waasis should have used "bewakoofi/pagalpanti" or something along the lines of jeopardizing our lives and then made Madhu answer them.. But no, they put everything just like that in Madhu's sermon to answer all the viewers... I feel the writing could have been better there... Just my opinion...

Seriously...the CVs and RS should think twice before making the character utter words like that. CVs ho gaye Paagal. Ek Dum Behaya aur kuch bhi character se bulwa dete hain. Kuch to aankh, kaan aur naak ki sharam rakhe ? !! Audience kitna bardaasht karegi nautanki ke naam pe. Theekh hai...I would have enjoyed the shootout just for the kicks of it...but Lectures at the Propriety of it near residential area. Even Police are not spared in these kind of Ops.

Protecting Aryan = 👍🏼
Giving Shelter to Sultan for few days until he heals = Tolerably and understandingly acceptable.
Justifying Supporting actions after shootout on the grounds that "I am not a beast just to help my own people" = Plain unacceptable. What do CVs mean? We all PUBLIC are animals? That we don't have sense. That we should also become Paagal ?!!!

Even the Police officers behind "Shootout in Lokhandwala" were not spared and taken to justice and asked to explain their conduct in Public Interest.

Atleast the Police officers gave a warning to all residents to be indoors.

Here Sultan warned all residents to be indoors.

The Police Officers did not expect residents to come and support them in nabbing the gangsters.

Here Madhu volunteers to support him without any need. Fine MAdhu's choice.

Sultan asking her to shoot 😲 !!!! Has he gone mad ?!!! He started thinking the girl belongs to mobworld !!! ???? 😕

Bhujang: Chalo is samay nahin per agale samay jarur khelenge hum tum rangon ki holi. Adios Sultan. <Runs away>

Chalwasis now come out all angry and start buzzing around Madhu.

Chalwasi: Madhu kya such much woh aadmi gangster tha? Hummein bhi dekhna tha real live gangster kaisa hota hai. Hum ko kyun apne apne ghar jabardasti bhej diya? Yeh chawl kya akeli tumhara adda hai kya? Aaj tak hum tumhe apna samazate the. Lekin aaj tumne kaise decide kiya ki humein tum khel mein shamil nahi karogi.

Padmini: Madhu, meine tumhe kya parvarish di hai bachpan se? Sab mil bat karna chahiye hai na? Itni jaldi kaise bhul gayi?

Madhu: Woh kya hai na ma, woh bin bulaye aya aur usne Sultan ki water gun chhin li toh muze bada gussa aya. Lekin tum chinta mat karo. Woh muze bol ke gaya hai ki woh pakka wapas ayega phir holi khelne ko

Padmini: <Visibly relaxed now. Faces the chawlwasis> Dekha? Ab kaisi narazagi? Next time ayega woh toh Madhu jarur aap sabse uski mulakat kar degi. <Looks on proudly at her daughter>

Meanwhile RK at RK mansion complaining to Radha

Radha; Kya hua Rishu, kyun itna muh fulaye baitha hai. Kaisi rahi Madhu ke sang holi?

RK: Maa, mein Madhu ke saath Holi khelne gaya. Use maine rang bhi lagaya aur bola ab tumhari bari hai muze rang lagane ki. Lekin, lekin..

Radha: Aare lekin kya?

RK: <Whining> She did not include me in the play. She went and colored that Sultan who didn't even want to play in the first place. She was being mean to me when I was being so nice to her. It was so unfair. You should have seen it. Her mother did not even scold her and all. Nobody ever says anything bad about her. You are always seeing faults only in ME. <scowls and sulks>

And that folks was the end to the memorable holi played at the chawl by our very own RK, Madhu and Sultan.
