He has misjudged the person he loves and he has also demeaned her by his harsh words.

Yup he has done a mistake... also taken things for garnted... all this has affectd his relation, one which is very precious to him. He forgot that it is two people together that make a relation to work & cherish & nurture it together.

But a family cannot run like that. There are other people who get to steer every once in a while and paths that they want to explore have to be pursued...

In the urgency to bring "happiness" to Geet, he forgot that he is the one who makes her happy..

Hmm... indeed he forgot what is true happiness to his Geet he misread her even after so many years of togetherness & love.

It is not about things but about the feelings and sentiments with which we make a person feel special that is important.

True. sometimes the simplest of things bring greater happiness than the whole world's treasures... sometimes the world's perspective of happiness isn't something that sits well with a true & love relation.

It is truly a seven year "Hitch". Most people after some years of marraige lose interest in trying to keep the other person happy or as in Maan's case they forget what happy looks like to the other person.
