Part 44

Rathor sensed the awkwardness between them and was sure "kuch to choot raha hai". He looked at Roshni who seemed to be struggling with something in her mind. Shree too noticed her. It was difficult for him to understand Arjun...he always had been a mysterious personality bt Roshni was her best friend... and the way she was stealing glances at Arjun...something did happen before their arrival. Seeing no one speak for a long moment...Chotu spoke up...as he was not getting why suddenly everyone was in for a stairing session - Arjun and Roshni stairing at each other, Shree at Roshni and Rathor alternating between Rosh and Arjun.

Chotu : "Shayad hume baithna chahiye..."

All then changed their xpressions with "Haan","Yes","Ya". Roshni quickly got Gia completely ready and then they all were in the drawing rum. Gia was the center of attraction today...after all it was her day. She blew the candles off and cut the cake. Everyone sang the birthday song together. The atmosphere was filled with Gia's giggles and cheers.

Roshni : "Aap sab baithiye. Main dinner table set kark aati hu."
Shree (holding her hand) : "Are baith na!"

Shree held her hand sitting in the sofa and pulled her back. She landed just besides Arjun. Both looked at each other. She immediately stood up.

Roshni : "Nhi main...aati hu abhi."

She entered the kitchen. Arjun got busy with the usual talks but in between he was looking at Roshni. Roshni remembers that moment and touches her cheek where Arjun had touched her. She blushes hard and peeps to take a look at him. He was talking with Gia and was smiling in between. She smiles too, then takes a deep breath and starts with her work. After sometime wen she came back she saw everyone with some papers and crayons, busy in drawing something.

Roshni : "Ye sab kya hai? Aap sab kya kar rahe hai?"
Rathor (smiling) : "Gia ne painting competition organize kiya hai. Winner ko cake ka xtra piece milega. Right Gia!.."
Gia (smiles) : "Right!"
Roshni (amazed) : "Haw! Sir aap logo ko Gia ki har wish poori karne ki zarurat nhi hai. Gia tang mat karo..."
Gia : "Lekin aunty, Nisha ki party me b yahi hua tha..."
Roshni : "Kyuki waha sare 6 saal k the aur yaha tumhare alawa koi 6 saal ka nhi hai.."
Shree : "Are nhi Rosh! Maza aa raha hai. Ye dekh Chotu ne kya masterpiece banaya hai" *starts laughing*
Chotu : "Huh! Accha aur tera parrot parrot kam aur ghasphus ka dher zyada lag raha hai uska kya!"
Shree : "Ae itna b bura nhi hai..."
Rathor : "Mujhe lagta nhi hai mujhe xtra piece milne wala hai. I was always bad in this." *shows everyone his wierd drawing making faces*

They were laughing seeing each other's paintings, pulling each others leg. They were always fighting with the criminals, always surrounded with so many negativities. Spending tym with Gia, relieving their childhood memories...it was bliss. Roshni then took them all to dinner table. Though Arjun and Roshni were trying hard to act normal, but after that moment, it was difficult. They sat on opposite chairs. The talks were minimal but xchange of glances were goin on at regular intervals.

Though everyone was njoying the yummy dinner but each mind was engrossed with some or the other thought. Gia wanted to know wat was inside those gifts. Chotu wanted to know wat did Roshni prepare for sweetdish. Rathor and Shree were observing Arjun and Roshni. Both wanted to know wat actually happened...And Arjun and Roshni well they were just eating... the sooner they get out of this situation, the better.

Rathor : "Arjun! Arjun!"
Arjun : "Hmmm"
Rathor : "Dhyan kaha hai? Kabse bula raha hu. Wo bottle pass karna...*after getting the bottle, he continues* To, tu to jaldi pahoch gaya tha...fir tune kya kiya?"

Hearing this made him cough...Roshni panicks and gets up from her seat. She pours water in a glass and gives him. Rathor and Shree were seeing this with full astonishment open mouthed and a slight whisper came from their mouth almost simultaneously.

Rathor, Shree : "Kuch to gadhbadh hai!"

They looked at each other with shockd xpressions and then continues eating, all confused. The dinner was done. They chatted for a while after the dinner. Gia was telling them abt her teachers and classmates. After some tym...

Rathor (looking at his watch) : "I think v shud leave nw. Bahot raat ho gayi hai"
Shree : "Chal kal office me milte hai."

They all reached the door. Arjun just passed a slight smile to her before leaving and then left with the team.

That night - Rathor's house

Someone was banging the door. Rathor switched on the light and opened the door. It was Arjun, a bit confused, seeking for his help.

Rathor (shockd) : "Arjun! Kya hua? Itni raat ko?"
Arjun : "Sam...umm...so to nhi raha tha..."
Rathor : "Raat k 12 baje ye kis tarah ka sawaal hai? Khair andar aa chal.."

Both sat at the sofa. Rathor was just looking at him gulping down the water.

Rathor : "Hmm ab bata kya hua?"
Arjun : "Kuch nhi...umm tu so ja...main kuch der yahi baithne wala hu.."
Rathor : "Oh comeon Arjun! Tu mujhe kab batane wala hai?"
Arjun : "Kya?"
Rathor : "Great! Matlab mere muh se hi sunega... ok...To tujhse ek baat poochu... tu... bura to nhi maanega?"
Arjun : "Tujhe kabse mujhe baat karne k liye permission ki zarurat padhne lagi.."
Rathor : "Ye tere aur... Roshni k beech me kya chal raha hai?"
Arjun : "Chal raha hai matlab?... Kuch b to nhi!" *tries to look at other side*
Rathor : "Jhooth mat bol! Ye mat bhool ki main tujhe tujhse b acche se jaanta hu..."
Arjun : "Aisa kuch nhi hai..." *gets up*
Rathor : "To itne dino se fir ye sab jo main dekh raha hu wo kya hai?..."
Arjun : "Kya hai?"
Rathor : "Offo! Ye...ye jo baat baat par tu Roshni sahayata kendra khol k baith jaata hai wo...uski har takleef ka ehsaas tujhe usse b pehle kaise ho jaata hai, uski problems tujhe itna pareshaan kyu kar deti hai...Anika k case k tym par b sabse zyada tune hi use support kiya tha..."
Arjun : "Kya bakwaas kar raha hai...main pehle b bol chuka hu ki us tym use bas emotional support ki zarurat thi jo maine use diya...wo team member hai aur us naate..."
Rathor : "Team member my foot! Plz Arjun! Main ye sab achanak se nhi bol raha hu. Maine jo dekha hai, observe kiya hai, wahi bata raha hu...Chal theek hai! Tujhe nhi manna, mat maan. Bt fir is sawaal ka jawaab de...aaj Rosh k ghar par aisa kya hua tha jo tum dono k chere par hawaiya udhi hui thi?"

Arjun was silent for a moment. He was nt xpecting that Rathor was observing his actions. But then he was nt completely wrong. He did feel something but wat was that... he just didnt know...

Arjun (taking a deep breath) : "Mujhe nhi pata Sam...mujhe nhi pata. Tu to jaanta hai ki meri lyf me sirf Roshni thi aur shayad hamesha wahi rahegi. Maine usk alawa kabhi kisi aur k bare me nhi socha, kabhi kisi aur ladhki ko apne kareeb aane nhi diya. Apne chaaro taraf aisi deewar banayi ki koi usk andar na aa sake...Magar pata nhi kab Rosh ne waha dastak di...aur main use rok nhi paya...mujhe usk saath tym spend karna accha lagta hai...hasna, muskurana accha lagta hai...bt in sab ka kya matlab hai I really dont know...Aaj Rosh k ghar par...v had a moment...pata nhi Rosh kya soch rahi hogi...main apne aap ko control hi nhi kar paya...mujhe nhi pata mujhe kya ho raha hai Sam...m totally confused..."
Rathor : "Come on Arjun! Tujhe aur kitne proof chahiye. Tum dono k chehre par saaf-saaf dikhta hai. Tu maane ya na maane...lekin tujhe pyaar ho gaya hai... Roshni se...aur shayad Roshni b tere liye kuch to feel karti hai..thodha sa hi sahi...
Arjun : "Lekin Sam..."
Rathor : "Jab pyaar dastak de to just breathe, relax aur use andar aane de...kyuki love is happiness aur usse darrna is complete nonsense... "

Arjun looks at Rathor. Rathor keeps his hand on his shoulder and tells him to think over it and then leaves. Arjun then sits and thinks abt Rosh. He remembers her cute antics that always makes him smile, her tears that makes him feel of some arousing pain. He gets all the flashbacks of his moments with her.

Is it really love??
