First and foremost want to express my gratifications to the entire crew of Madhubala for giving us a "big screen experience" on "small screen"...
Oh!!! What a visual treat of episode it was today...Visual treat in the form of the entire setting, the choice of songs, the choreography of the "dholna" song...Three good looking leads making it more pleasing to the eye and making it more difficult for us as to decide with whom we would like to see Madhu...
Coming to the initial interplay of playing holi and all the fun between Madhu and Aryan and others was really...What followed was also equally enjoyable with Sultan joining this interplay making RK more jealous as he witnesses all this fun...
To me it was poetic justice when it's Sultan, though accidently is the first one to put color on Madhu...I would say served RK right who claimed that he would be the first one to put color on her...
Don't know about others, but I personally did not like RK staking his claim on Madhu...He enforcing her to dance with him , of course did not appeal to me...Not a word of remorse or apology for his deeds and this man comes holding his head high to assert his rights...what rights indeed, made me wonder so...this lines by D.H.Lawrence are perfectly befitting to his character : "You don't want to love--your eternal and abnormal craving is to be loved. You aren't positive, you're negative. You absorb, absorb, as if you must fill yourself up with love, because you've got a shortage somewhere." (D.H.Lawrence)
Now coming to Sultan, one got the glimpses of him developing a soft corner for Madhu...My sympathies were with him on seeing his helplessness on not being able to intervene into RK's overhanded behavior with Madhu...I am beginning to like Sultan more and more as I get to know more and more about his persona...
Coming to performances :
Vivian, was bang on as the overbearing RK full of jealousy and insecurity...Sorry, can't say the same about his dancing skills...he is so awkward, both in moves (which he hardly shows) and the lifts...
Avinesh, loved it that he is good at expressing through his eyes...be it the conveying of him developing an attraction towards Madhu or the little amount of new found happiness or the feeling of helplessness and dejection when he sees Madhu with RK...He has taken the character of Sultan in his stride...
Drashti, first have to compliment her on her looks and today was no exception as she looked like million bucks...then her beautiful dance on "dholna song"...her playful running around with Aryan...she is a delight to behold...last but not the least my heart went out to Madhu's condition where her heart and self-respect seem to be in conflict...Her moist eyes expressing this dilemma so clearly...
As for the pre-cap : waiting with heart in the mouth as to what will ensue when the celebration scene at the chawl turns into something gory...
