Faultless, flawless and absolutely enjoyable. You hinted from the beginning why Roshni hated Priya and now I see that it was for a petty teenage tantrum. My heart goes out to Arjun. He has so much to deal with right now but good that he was able to go back to the family.

Finally I have read all the chapters'And the story is just superb'

First of all, the characters'

Priya, She is a sweetheart'I have no words to say, how adorable she is'

Althought being through so much, she is still there for Arjun, helping him in all possible means'

This also shows how much she loves Arjun'!

Priya in the Academy days, when I started reading this, I used to wonder, why is she so reserved, why wouldn't she mix up with others and all'but now after knowing the past, I really wonder, how strong the girl is!

Well I guess, She had always been an introvert, but the incident with her parents might have triggered it more, and also her relation with Roshni, and the way she used to treat her, might have had created an impact on her overall personality of being more to herself'

Anyway, but I love her the way she is'. beautiful by heart, caring and loving girl'just perfect for our Arjun!

Swati'Oh, I just love her'Infact, she has been my favorite character in this story'

So, a docter for Sam'hmmm..very well, he needs such a girl to keep him in control!

But I have a certain liking towards Swati, from the start itself'!

She loved Sam, with all her heart'And even after Sam ditching her, after their engagement, She was compassionate and strong enough to forgive him'

I can imagine how difficult it would have been for Swati to live without him for 2 long years..!

After going through her past, how her father left her mother' it would be difficult for her to trust people'and then her breakup with Sam'.how she must have been shattered!

I have imagined her as a person, whose face says everything she wants to'and that is the reason why I love her so much!

Arjun, Oh what should I say about him?????

He always saw what is behind the obvious'but hey, why didn't he notice the obvious love in Priya's eyes for him???? If only they both would have confronted each other'.

But he has been through much'My heart cries for him..!

Sam, again, the best chief, and a true friend'.

His personality is what make people follow him...

In Academy days, I felt as though I saw another Sam, a mischievous one'more like happy go lucky types!

And today, we see him as a true gentleman, who cares for his friend and his love!

Roshni'I had always imagined her as a sweet and simple girl with a golden heart'as shown in the show!

And it was a bit difficult for me to digest the slight negative side of her'.

My heart shouted out, she might not have the reason for Priya going through so much, although each and every hint was against her'.but alas, I think she really did not intend to go through such an extent'.

And whatever she had done, she really did not deserve such a death'.

Coming to the story'.

Both the cases have been just awesome'.

Especially the first one'.two murders, how you created a link between them and the way, ETF started getting clues to find the culprit'

When Mr Tiwari committed suicide'.it was one of the heart touching moments'but at the same time, I was feeling really angry'

This showed his immense love towards his wife'But then, I feel bad why people see only ending their life as the option'Why don't they understand, its not only their life, it is connected to others as well!

Second case..ok, now this was something I thought, will bring up old memories and all the secrets hidden from Arjun about Roshni'And the way, Priya's dialogues gave away little of such hints, that was brilliant!

Rohan, I feel so bad for him, all the time I kept relating him to Arjun, I know it was intented, but atleast, he came to know the truth well beforehand!

And Leena, I just wish, she believes in him, and his love'and throw back all the insecurities'.

Arjun Priya relation had always been like'ab to accept kar lo..you both love each other'

How I am waiting for that moment!

In academy day, how Arjun was determined to be friends with her, was one bit I love to the core'just pefect Arjun style!

And that shooting competiton with Shukla'nice one'as they say, Aurat ki kabiliyat pe shak nahi arna chahiye! Hahaha'.

They both have been through so much, I just hope, now everything clears out as soon as possible'.

Avinash and Maya, they are really sweet'.

Wow, that was a nice twist you brought, saying that Maya is Arjun's cousin'!

I am looking forward to more on that bit'

How Avinash saved Priya and then what happened, that Sikander found her'.

Shree Chotu were as usual, just the perfect duo'

They accepted priya whole heartedly'.even though she reminded them of Riya'.

Sam Priya, and Shree Chotu Priya, they are nice to read'.their relation has been built beautifully!

Sam Swati first meet was just superb'love at first sight'

I read that scene thrice'I loved it so much'!

Their breakup, then patchup'and their romantic dinner, where did not talk about anything except Arjun Priya'and their kiss'..just superb'.

The way, she was so tensed up for Sam when he was held hostage'.and her teasing him during the date'.lovely!

All about the past, how Priya went undercover, whatever information she gathered, meeting Avinash'

Roshni being responsible that her cover was blown, she going underground and then Sikander catching her'.this all seems to now come have sense'

But how did Siaknader catch her and how Roshni was involved,I mean why did Sikander kill her????

I am looking forward to more relevations'and ofcourse, Sam swati and Arjun Priya!

Ok, I might have forgotten many things I had thought to mention'just want to say, it was so nice to read this story!! And I loved it!

Part 20

Later that evening as soon as Arjun arrived in Mumbai he headed straight for the ETF office. He had put his plan in motion in the last few hours and now going to wait for everyone to arrive at the ETF office.

He was in the conference room reading the file sent over by Raghuvir sir on Avinash when Shree walked in with a file in his hand. "Sir I looked into the unsolved case in Masudpur and the surrounding area for the years you asked me to." He handed the file over to Arjun then took a seat next to him. "No murder case but at the time there were several complaints related to date rape drug, Rohypnol. Unfortunately the police couldn't link any one specific person to the cases. The clubs where it was rumored to be supplied at most, eventually, shut down also." Shree informed Arjun.

Arjun frowned because that did not give him much to go on, but the file on Avinash had given him a name that could be connected to the date rape drug and suicide case listed in the file given to him by Shree. He wrote the name down on a paper and handed it to Shree. "See if you can find anything on this person." Shree took the paper and nodded his head.

Half hour later when Priya and Sameer walked in the conference room they exchanged an uneasy look when they saw Arjun sitting in his chair reading a file as if hadn't left for a day at all. Priya tried to gauge his mood but she couldn't read anything in his expression.

She had just taken her seat when he turned and looked at her. She was surprised to see a flicker of guilt and something else in his eyes before he masked it with a blank expression. "How is your arm Priya?" he asked her almost casually.

Priya couldn't hold his gaze. "Its fine now." She answered then hesitated for a bit before inquiring about him. "How was your trip back home?"

"My visit home was very interesting and informative." He said with a tinge of sadness.

Sameer also handed a file to Arjun. "You didn't miss much in the past two days except for the information we received from one of Chotu's informer. There seem to be some terrorist activities on the north side of the city but he didn't have anything more that the information we received from the headquarters."

Ajun scanned thru the file quickly then put it aside. "Avinash is on his way here, he should be arriving soon."

"Avinash is coming here? Why?" Sameer asked. He glanced at his watch, he wondered if he should call Swati and tell her to wait for him at her house instead of coming to the ETF office.

"I will tell you as soon as everyone arrives." Arjun said.

Chotu walked in with Swati just at that moment momentarily distracting both Priya and Sameer.

Arjun couldn't have asked for anything better when he saw Swati. Although she is not part of ETF but she is very protective of Priya so its best that she is also there he thought.

Few minutes later Avinash also arrived, escorted by one of the techs. He frowned when he saw Priya's bandaged arm and went to her first. "Hey, what happened to you?"

Priya smiled at his concern then shrugged her shoulder. "Don't panic, it's just a minor wound from a bullet that grazed my arm during a case. But where have you been? I have been trying to contact you since yesterday."

"Yeah Avinash, tell us where you have been for the past few days." Arjun said as he stood up and placed his hands on the table.

Priya turned to Arjun when she noticed the anger in his voice. Her eyes widened more when she saw his stormy eyes shooting fire at both her and Avinash.

When Avinash didn't answer, Arjun stood straighter then crossed his arms. "So you are not going to tell us," and waited but Avinash still didn't answer Arjun. "Priya your friend was in Delhi for the past two day, perhaps covering his tracks."

"Rawte what nonsense is this? Just come to the point quickly." Sameer said in a loud voice.

"It's not nonsense Rathore; as I said my trip to Delhi was informative." Arjun said as he picked up the file from the table.

"Here is some of the information I gained while I was back home. One being that there was an internal investigation on Priya's undercover assignment. And the person who cleared her was none other than Avinash. So what I want to know is the reason for the internal investigation." He looked at Priya. "You told me you could not bring out the evidence with you when Avinash pulled you and took you into hiding."

Priya turned away from him. "Yes I did." It was mostly the truth anyway. She had been forced to give up the evidence but he didn't need to know that she thought to herself as she looked at Avinash and dared him to say something.

Arjun clenched his jaw when he saw Priya turn away from him preventing him from seeing the truth in her eyes. "So you are saying the evidence was not with you when Vikram found your hiding place." Arjun said.

Rathore and Avinash inhaled sharply while Priya gasped as she turned towards Arjun again who was looking at them steadily.

"Rawte what are you trying to say? Rathore shouted. "Come to the point and tell us where you are going with your theories and questions, and what does this have to do with our investigation now?" Sameer knew that nothing is going to distract Arjun now. He had a feeling that Arjun knows everything but wants to hear it from them.

"It has everything to do with our investigation now Rathore." Arjun shouted just as loudly. He then came forward to circle around Priya. "I am not facing Sikandar blindly, I want to know each and every detail of the investigation from the past." Arjun glared at Avinash also. "I want to know who blew Priya's cover. I want to know where you hid her after her cover was blown and I want to know how Sikandar and Vickram found her."

Priya flinched at each of Arjun's questions. None of the turmoil that she was feeling inside of her showed on her face but underneath it all she was shaking like a leaf. Her legs were trembling, threatening to collapse under her. She fisted her hand hard enough for her nails to dig into her palm so she could concentrate on the physical pain instead of the pain in her heart.

Arjun came back to Priya, "If you didn't have the evidence on you then what was the need for Vikram and Sikandar to come look for you? They could have disappeared like they did after…"Arjun trailed off because the words he wanted to speak refused to come out of his mouth. No he wouldn't bring Roshni into it yet.

"If you didn't have the evidence on you then why were you accused of aiding Vikram and Sikandar Priya?" Arjun asked.

Arjun breathed deeply because what he will say next is going to hurt Priya the most but he had no choice left now. "May be you had fallen in love with Vikram for real while pretending to love him. Is that why you gave up the evidence because you didn't want him to be caught? Because you couldn't see him go to jail?"

Priya's face drained of all color at his accusations. She shook her head in denial but couldn't say a word in her defense. How can she convince him that loving Vikram was impossible for her?

Swati was fuming mad by now and was about to take a step forward to blast Arjun but Sameer stopped her by placing his hand on her arm and shaking his head discreetly. He also wanted to blast Arjun but he also needed to think rationally as the chief of ETF and also for Priya's sake. If Sameer opened his mouth now he will blurt out everything in anger and that is the last thing Priya needed.

Sameer hadn't counted on Avinash though, who had immediately felt his temper flare when Arjun started accusing Priya. He moved Priya out of the way and stepped very close to Arjun. He was beyond thinking rationally at this point and no one imagined that he would reveal the truth to Arjun in his anger.

"That's enough ACP Rawte!" Avinash shouted freezing everyone in their places. "You call yourself Priya's friend but it's obvious you don't know anything about her if you think she could have loved a snake like Vikram."

"Avinash don't, Arjun is only trying to provoke me." Priya said to stop Avinash from revealing the truth but Avinash ignored her pleading voice.

"You want to know who blew Priya's cover and how Sikandar and Vikram found her hiding place then I will tell you." Avinash paused for just a second. "It was your wife Roshni Rawte who blew Priya's cover and she was the one who aided Sikandar in flushing Priya out of her hiding place."

Arjun kept glaring at Avinash but inwardly his last hope of being wrong about Roshni shattered at the truth. He had known that Roshni had blown Priya's cover and had felt that she might have had something to do with flushing Priya out but hadn't been hundred percent convinced that Roshni could do something so cruel to her own cousin.

He staggered back as he finally got the confirmation on what he had suspected ever since he found out about the investigation on Priya. His shoulder slumped in defeat and his head bowed down from shame of what his wife had done to his best friend.

Arjun couldn't meet Priya's eyes as he turned towards her. "Did you think I wouldn't be able to handle the truth if you had told me when I asked you on that day Priya?" He finally looked at Priya and flinched when he saw the unshed tears in her eyes. Tears that he was sure were for him.

He laughed bitterly at himself. "I don't even blame you for not telling me since I have been blaming you for her death all this time when I should have been apologizing to you for breaking our friendship and because of what you had to go through because of me and Roshni." Arjun's voice had turned husky from the unshed tears in his eyes that were clogged in his throat.

He looked around at the faces of his friends and teammate and all he saw was pity in their eyes for him and he couldn't handle that anymore. He walked out of the conference room without saying anything else.

There was a pin drop silence in the room, as no one knew what to do after such a big revelation. Arjun hadn't reacted as they had expected him to which left everyone wondering the reason for his accepting the truth so easily.

Sameer felt that Arjun's quiet reaction was calm before the storm and he turned to Priya. "I think you should go talk him Priya." When Priya shook her head negatively Swati also joined Sameer.

"I think Sam is right Priya, he needs to know everything before he does something that he may regret later. You need to tell him why Roshni aided Sikandar in finding you. He is going to need something positive about her or else he will go crazy and blame himself also."

"But that's just it Swati. He is going to blame himself anyway when he learns the whole truth and I can't do that to him Swati. Please don't ask me to break him more than he is already broken." Priya pleaded with her friends.

Swati hugged Priya to her then whispered into her ears so others can't hear her. "Tell him everything but what they did to you. Give him some hope Priya or else you will lose your friend forever."

Before Priya could reply they heard a loud crashing sound come from the outside. They all rushed out of the conference room and ran towards Arjun's office because they heard another crashing sound come from the vicinity of his office.

Priya and Sameer were first at Arjun's office door and as soon as Sameer saw the shattered room he tuned to everyone and told them to go back to work. He went inside the office to close the blinds so no one can see what was going on inside the room while Priya went to Arjun who was sitting against the wall behind his desk. She gasped when she saw that he had cut his hand from the broken desk lamp that he must have thrown against the opposite wall.

Priya rushed to Arjun, "Sam ask Swati or Shree to bring the first aid kit." She said in a shaky voice then knelt beside Arjun to take his hand in hers. Cut wasn't too big but she could see a small glass pieces embedded in his skin. She glanced at Arjun but he was not even aware of his surroundings. His eyes were blank and he kept staring at the wall. His skin felt cold to touch, which worried Priya more.

She felt for his pulse just to be sure that he was not going into shock but breathed a sigh of relief when she felt his heart beating at a normal rate and rhythm. She placed her hand on his arm to shake him, "Arjun!" She called out his name to bring him out of his trance.

She shouted his name three times before she saw him blink his eyes to bring her in focus. Priya relaxed when she finally noticed him glance at his hand in confusion. '"It's not a big cut but there is still glass stuck in your skin so hold still until we get the first aid kit." She informed him quietly.

Arjun didn't care about the cut on his hand nor did he care about the pain from the cut. His focus had shifted to Priya's face and the scar on her right cheek. He lifted his hand slowly and traced the scar on her face. "They did this to you, didn't they?" He asked even though he felt the truth of it.

Priya ignored his question; instead she pulled out a handkerchief from her pocket to wipe the blood from around his wound. She froze when Arjun took her chin and turned her head to make her look at him.

"Answer me Priya; they did this to you didn't they?" he asked again in a pleading voice.

Priya's shoulders slumped when she saw his desperation to know the answer to his question. She sighed then lifted her hand to cup his face but dropped it without reaching for his face. "Yes they did." She answered in a quiet voice.

Before he could say anything else Swati came in with the first aid kit that Priya had asked for earlier. "Arjun lets go sit on the chaise lounge so Swati can take a look at your hand." Priya said as she made him stand.

Priya was really worried when he let her lead him to the chaise lounge without any arguments. She glanced at Sameer and Swati and they both also looked just as worried at Arjun's too complaisant behavior.

While she understood that this is probably temporary she also knew that once he comes out of the shock after learning the truth things could get worse if she didn't make him understand everything that happened before Roshni died in front of him.

Priya stepped out of Arjun's office to ask Chotu to bring Arjun's cutting chia then went back in to wait for Swati to finish with Arjun.

"Damn him and his inquisitive mind," Priya muttered as she stood next to Sameer. "This is why I didn't want to join the ETF.

"It's better that he knows everything about Roshni from you instead of learning it from Sikandar. That would have weakened him and Sikandar would have taken advantage of his weakness to kill him Priya." Sameer said.

Priya gave Sameer a startled look. "You know him too well don't you? You knew that Arjun's curious mind wouldn't rest once I came back in his life so you decided to put me in front of him." Priya said.

Sameer hesitated but then decided to come clean with Priya. "Yes I knew he would finally come out of his shell if he saw you and became curious about events that led to Roshni's death. We couldn't risk him going off on his own to look for Sikandar and thought it was best to bring you into the team before Sikandar's case was handed over to ETF."

Priya shook her head, "Or you could have just let me an my team handle Sikandar from Delhi." Priya said with anger.

"And that wouldn't have raised his suspicions?" Sameer asked in frustration then sighed when he realized what Priya was scared of revealing to Arjun.

"Tell him Priya, he will understand you now better than ever." Sameer said.

Priya glared at him stubbornly. "When hell freezes over Sam. I am never going to tell him what they did to me." She glanced towards Arjun then turned back to Sameer. "Just look how broken he is already by this; if I tell him everything then he will be shattered Sam."

"And what if he finds out later. What will you do then?" Sameer argued.

Priya raised her chin stubbornly. "He won't have any reason to look for anything else once I tell him everything that led to Roshni's death."

You are still blind Priya. Sameer thought to himself but decided to leave it since Swati was almost finished with Arjun's hand.

Phew! That was intense.. I had my eyes scanning the screen and my heart beating wildly!
Gosh Tiger and BL are going to be the death of me!

Wokay, as always.. Tiger stole the show, hands down! 👏 Right from planning for the masterstroke to instructing Shree to dig more on the drug rape cases to accusing Priya and eventually his apology to her.. Every bit of it was brilliantly and soo poignantly drafted that I think I lost a little bit of my heart to him with each one.. ❤️

The first ever casual conversation between the duo.. Two lines, but it left me sighing and wishing for more.. (Antennae alert!) 😛😆

My heart went out to Priya, when Arjun advanced predator-like towards her with a volley of questions and later accusations.. But the lady amazes me each time! 👏

Avinash!! 👏 Love the guy even more now! Someone had to do it! And I get it why it had to be him and not Sameer-Swati..
