Trina's Top 10: 1st April 2013

1. Jennifer in a royal blue ghagra with transparent bright red dupatta and matching red and blue glass bangles. Simply beautiful.

2. Kumud's prayer and arati in the morning. It was so sweet and heartfelt, and affirmed what we already know. That she isn't just doing it to help her family or Ilaben, but to help Saras because she cares for him.

3. "I will not give anyone a chance to point a finger at us." The defiant way Kumud answers back to her female relative when questioned why she spends so much time with Saras helping him.

4. Kumud giving Shivji's milk to Ilaben's son and saying it is prasad. Honestly, if more people thought and acted like Kumud we would have less starvation in India. The clever way she gets Ilaben to accept it without hurting her pride.

5. Ilaben saying to Kumud, "the one who gets you for a wife will be very lucky" and then Kumud turning around to see Saras smiling warmly after hearing this. Awww. See, even Ilaben is doing what Kumud's dad and sister couldn't.

6. "Ms. Kumud Sundari, be it Dubai or Ratnagiri the formula will be the same." The confident and charming way Gautam says this when Kumud says that this is not a Dubai mall but a bazaar where people will do anything to save money.

7. When Badi Maa starts saying things about Kumud's behavior to her mother and sister and then Dukbha steps in saying noone is mentioning Yash because of your suicide threats but I am not going to stand by and listen to anyone attacking Kumud's name. And the scared look on Badi Maa's face when Dukhba cuts her off briskly.

8. "If you support the one who is atoning, then how will you be cursed?" The way Kumud jumps in to save Saras when a villager tries to stigmatize Saras and his pottery. Love you for that Kumud.

9. Kumud telling all of the village women that it's buy one get one free and giving them a Gujrati song in the bargain. Haha. If only Saras came to US, I would have bought all of his pots.

10. Normally this spot is reserved for Saras' UB shirt, but today his top was unflattering to someone of his beauty. I understand it had to be buttoned up because of the villagers, but the pattern was unattractive compared to the shirts he was worn previously. Nevertheless, his hair was looking nice. 😳
