Hi guys what's up so i am updating and before that i want to inform you guys that i converted it into an ff because of the great response i got and this ff will consist of about 12 parts or so each part will contain more than one song...so here goes part 3.
part 3 : i'll stand by you/fireworkIt had been two days since taani sang and she hadnt slept since she kept thinking of the word they used...passion...was singing her passion? she hadnt really thought of it...but she knew one thing she loved it...when she sings it feels as if the whole world stops to listen...the only thing that can be heard is her voice and at the end of it the round of applause is audible...then she has to get back to the real life filled with paper work and responsibilities.yes she did love being gs but something was missing from her life...when she sang she felt complete and when she sang with them she felt understood. she never interacted with the gang,her bhai or sharon since that day and it was not very easy since she lived in the same house as her bhai. sharon resigned from her post since she had too much pressure before taani could do anything so taani had more and more work to do. swayam was promoted to cs while aashi became acs. she usually did all their work so they had time to practice ndc and their proffesional dance team.obviously both the gang and taani were very busy so they hadnt noticed something.
The video of the glee club and taani singing light up the world went viral in st.louis..everyone in st.louis had seen it with the exception of taani and the gang. and everyone had different views about it.alot of people thought that taani faked it in an attempt to gain popularity . of course there were people who were really there at that time so they knew the truth. there were constant fights about who is right and who isnt. that day taani bumped into ranbeer again.
Ranbeer: ouch...watch where...oh hi taani
taani: ranbeer...we've got to stop meeting this way...
both laughed.
taani: where's panchi and kiya
ranbeer: they're not in college...
Taani: oh so what's up?
Ranbeer: we still want you to join the glee club...
Taani: ranbeer i told you..
Ranbeer: i know you need time to think but i thought you would have made up your mind once you've seen the video...
Taani: what video?
ranbeer: what video! you mean you havent seen it yet?(shocked)
taani shook her head to indicate a no.
Ranbeer: come on follow me to the auditorium my laptop is there.
They went to the auditorium where ranbeer's laptop was.
He played the video and taani was shocked to see her performance on video and that it had recieved 2 000 views in 2 days
taani scrolled down to read the comments.
Tanya: she rocks
taani smiled but it immediately vanished when she read the next comment.
Rehan: ya right as if it is really her...she probably forged her voice like she cheated her way into becoming gs.
Rina: ya i think so too...she is so talentless.
Taani's eyes watered as she read similar comments to those.ranbeer saw those comments and taani, he knew he had to do something to cheer her up...taani was about to leave when he called out to her...
Ranbeer: taani wait...i need to sing something but there is nobody to hear me...normally kiya and panchi would be here but they arent so will you hear me?
Taani hesitantly agreed.
i'll stand by youafter the verse 1 taani realized what ranbeer was trying to do. she smiled through her tears thinking that finally there was someone who understood her.she was touched by the time he was finished she was smiling widely and she had forgotten what was bothering her. he offered her a strange comfort and warmth. is this what friendship means?
Ranbeer: there is the smile i was looking for. Dont ever let anyone take it away and if they try to you know they're not worth it.
Taani thought about her so called friends and realized he was right. she decided there and then she will never waste her tears again.
taani: thanks ranbeer...you dont know...
Ranbeer: what this means to me( completing her sentence)
both of them burst out laughing and she finally felt that she had a friend.
Scene shift to d3 team dance practice
they were dancing profusely and trying to get their routines down but no matter how hard they tried they couldnt get it down. they were really frustrated . vicky threw down his towel in irratation.
Vicky: what the hell yaar . why is the routine so difficult?
rey: because we need to get through the quater finals.
Nil: so... we will definitely get in...
amar: so why so much platise(practice)
swayam: we shouldnt be so over confident.
Sharon: ya guys... i agree this competition is much bigger.
Simmi: so why isnt taani here?
Neha: ya her responsibilty isnt doing taani.
Rey: what's wrong with you guys..if she is strict you are angry, if she isnt you guys are angry.
swayam: forget it rey... she isnt even talking to me even though we live in the same house.
Sharon: she is probably busy lets just focus on our routines.
After an hour they are done and leave for the canteen.
Scene shift to taani and ranbeer.
They were talking and laughing for an hour.
Ranbeer: let's get serious
taani: you and serious(starts laughing)
ranbeer smiles at her
ranbeer:i am not kidding...
Taani: ok fine tell me.
Ranbeer: i think you should call a meeting as a gs to the entire school.
Taani: why?(confused)
ranbeer: to sing.
Taani: what!
ranbeer: i mean they thought you were faking so sing in front of them ...then theywont be able to say anything.
Taani: i dont need to prove myself to anyone.( angry)
ranbeer: not to anyone ...your self..do it for your own sake..not mine..not anyone else's, for yourself.
Taani thought about it and decided that he was right.
Taani: what about song choice and music?
Ranbeer: leave that on me and technology(pointing to laptop)
taani smiled with resolve in her eyes and purpose in her heart a purpose to sing.
Scene shift to gang
they were in the canteen when they recieved a message.
Text message: gs wants to officailly adress you in the atrium
Rinni: what is this new drama?
aashi : only one way types to find out.
Bharat: chal...atr..atr...
Amar: atlium(atrium)
bharat : wohi
sharon: haa lets go guys...
Scene shift to atrium
taani looked at the crowd everyone was here including the gang, rey, sharon and her bhai. she got nervous and looked at ranbeer.
Ranbeer: you're gonna rock..
Taani:thanks.
She cleared her throat loudly so that the mummers would stop.when there was silence she continued
Taani: i know there is a video going around...and there are some people who doubt its reality. well guys i am not here to prove you wrong or myself right...i am doing this for myself( she looked at ranbeer who smiles back at her)
at this point the gang were very confused.
Swayam: what is she talking about?
rey: i dont know.. lets see.
Taani looked down at everones confused faces and smiled.
Taani: hit it.( to ranbeer)
fireworkher voice resounded around the walls leaving everyone speechless especially the gang. their mouths opened and closed only to find that no words could escape their mouths. her pitch was impossibly perfect and her voice was the most beautiful thing anyone in that room would have ever heard. she stood singing each and every word meaning every single lyric. By the end of the performance everyone was speechless spellbound. finally the entire atrium erupted with applause and loud hooting. even the gang was clapping tremendously as it was a natural reaction and it could not be helped. taani smiled widely.
Taani: passion...this is what it means..(to herself softly).
She walked over to ranbeer.
Taani: i will join the glee club...
