I think it shows that he's working hard, in fact I hope he'll relax a bit because at times it looks he's trying too hard. I think he's not bad at all but the dialogues and direction are not helping much...that whole dialogue with him laughing at a wedding breaking was weird. I guess the aim was to show a laid back cool guy but for me it came across as immature. He was totally adorable in the scene where Supriyaji tells him I'll slap you and he puts his face on her palm and says 'my pleasure'...made me go 'awww, how cute'. The way he stared at Sanaya in the I'm watching you scene was nice and I anticipate sparks so really looking forward to more ChanMan time.
