Anyways, I saw a lot of people hating on the promise RK made about making it big and then telling her who he is 😆...BUT! That doesn't mean he won't get close to her. That just means she won't know who he is until he tells her! :)

Chapter Ten - Morning After

I laid in my bed waiting for the alarm to go off since another night of no sleep had gone by. So much had gone through my mind over night. Knowing my Midhi was asleep in the room next to mine gave me mixed feelings. It took everything I had not to wake her and tell her the truth. I didn't know I had so much self-control, but I didn't want to seem a failure. I needed to be the one who casted her and not the one casted BY her. Another thing that bothered me all night was images of her father. Our parents had been friends; our families were so close…but that close? I thought back to the day Midhi was dragged away from me and it all made sense. Honestly, I wasn't surprised that my father had not left my mother after what had happened. My father was kind and loving, he was the type to give people second chances. He gave my mother a second chance, but that didn't mean my life wasn't ruined. The stupid mistake her father had made by having an affair with my mother had caused me to lose my best friend. I know that affairs are two sided, but there was no way I was going to talk or even think that way about my mother who was no more.

The alarm suddenly went off and interrupted my thoughts. I got off my bed and moved my door; I walked towards Madhu's room and moved her door to turn off her alarm for her. I walked into her room slowly and leaned against the door. I watched her as she slept peacefully. She seemed like an angel who had just dropped down from heaven. I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder, which took me out of my trance. I turned to see Trishna standing behind me. I wondered if she was on my case because she kept popping up everywhere. I looked at her and she was about to speak but I put my finger up to my lips to gesture for her to stay quiet. I gently closed Madhu's room door and stepped away from the door. Then she spoke once she knew she could.

"Did anything happen last night?"

"Besides the kiss? Not a thing."

"Will you tell her about it?"

"No. I wouldn't do that to her."

"Don't you think she deserves to know?"

"When the time is right. I honestly don't want to add more stress to her mind right now."

"You know you're stupid right? I warned you beforehand."

"I tried to stop her, but then she…do we have to talk about this right now?"

"We'll talk about it later. You need to wake her or else she'll be late for shoot."

"Just give her a few more minutes."

She shook her head with clear disappointment and then turned to walk down the stairs as I stared back at Madhu's closed door. I figured she'd be angry if I didn't wake her on time and so I slowly walked back into her room. I sat on the side of her bed and gently placed her hair behind her ear. She was beautiful…I knew my Midhi would grow into a gorgeous young lady someday. She moved a bit in bed to get comfortable again which is when I knew would be the perfect time to wake her.

"Mi…Madhu? Madhu wake up."

She moaned and turned her back towards me. I placed my hand on her shoulder and shook her gently.

"You have to go for shoot Madhu."

She slowly began to open her eyes.

"Shut up…"

She sounded hung over, so I got up and walked towards the speaker system by her door.

"Priya, bring up one cup of coffee to Madhu's room please."

"Yes sir."

Wow, sir, hearing that felt quite amazing.

I walked back towards her bed and shook her gently again. She turned to face me and managed to open her bloodshot eyes. Then she suddenly sat up causing us to bang our heads. I pulled back in pain and put my hand to my head as she did the same.

"Ow!"

We both spoke at the same time and then she looked at me with a furious look.

"Ugh, get out of my room homeless guy!"

Her tone of voice and use of words made it obvious that she remembered nothing from the previous night. In a way, I was glad she had forgotten about it but upset at the same time. I got off her bed and walked towards the door. I turned to look at her again as she eyed me unusually.

"You'll be late."

She looked away from me as I spoke and I stepped out of her room just as Priya stepped in. I overheard the two of them speaking.

"Did I ask you to bring me coffee? No!"

"Ma'am, RK sir told me to bring it for you."

There was a moment of silence and then she spoke.

"Put it on my side table."

I smiled and walked back into my room to get some rest for another day. I laid in bed, not bothering to check on Madhu because I knew she was old enough to take care of herself and she had made it clear that she doesn't want my help. Since I hadn't slept all night, I was near falling asleep when suddenly I heard someone walk into my room. I opened my eyes to see Madhu leaning against the door.

"Hey, you, I came to inform you that Mr. Chopra said he needs you on set tomorrow. Last day of rest. And stay out of my room, understand? And you don't need to worry about me, I could've asked for coffee myself."

"Uh, you're welcome?"

"Oh shut up."

She closed the door behind herself as she left. I was amazed at the person my Midhi had turned into due to her loss of, well…me. I knew I'd be able to change her back. I wish I could tell her who I was, I wish I could take away all her sorrows right away, but I couldn't. I decided not to think about it too much and was about to get some rest when there was a knock at my door.

"What do you want now?!"

The door opened and surprisingly Trishna stood there with her arms crossed and a serious look on her face.

"Sorry to disturb you RK but we need to talk."
