I have always said how Elena is not Elena without her humanity, she needs to be human again because this is so NOT her! And even Elijah said that today. But the funny part is, Damon fans were mostly saying how this is the "real" her. Even when so many people in the show itself didn't recognize her as a vampire, only now when she actually hurt Damon they finally think she is not herself! 😆
I LOVED the Elijah-Katherine scenes, I still however think she is faking it! It was quite surprising how she gave the cure to Elijah at the end, but I am sure she did that for a reason.. she is a smart woman!
And another thing which I loved about the episode was the DeFan scene, once again it was visible how Stefan cares more for his brother than for his love. He owes it to her so he'll help her come back and yeah he still loves her but he should have a life of his own. I am sure Elena will regret all of this once she has her humanity back! And she SHOULD, that's the only way I might accept Stelena back. Once again I was proud of the fact that I am on Team Salvatore. Oh and I would've loved to see a few scenes of only Stefan and Katherine. Stefan, Defan, Stelena, Elijah-Katherine, and Steferine it is! can't wait for 4x19!
K.Sean and Edlyn I loved both of your posts!
I agree that Elena isn't herself without her humanity. One of my favorite quotes from Elijah - "Your compassion is a gift, Elena. Carry it with you always." Elena repeated that back to him in the episode but then she seems keen on leaving her humanity behind when she said she enjoyed seeing the letter burn along with the rest of her house. Elena is a compassionate and acring person and I loved that about her. I just started disliking her character in season 3 because she was being unfair to both Stefan and Damon. I don't really like Elena with her humanity turned off and when she killed that poor waitress at the end to let the Salvatore brothers know she meant business, I just thought that was unnecessary. Elena, the real Elena, would never have killed an innocent person. Even when others were killing innocent people/vampires/werewolves for her sake, she couldn't help but feel guilty that they all died because of her. This Elena with her devil-may-care attitude isn't the real Elena. I get that she wanted the Salvatores to get off her back about the cure, but still killing someone just like that for no reason at all is beyond me.
And I really wish that the brothers would stop trying to force the cure on her. She can have her humanity back and all, but please let the girl make her own decisions regarding the cure. I still can't believe that in the next episode, they are planning on making her want the cure.
Elijah and Katherine- I LOVED their scenes as well but I also feel that Kat is faking it. To just give up the cure like that doesn't seem like Katherine at all. I sort of felt that when she was leaving Elijah with the cure, she had this look on her face liek she was hoping he would call her back or something, but then he didn't and I guess she just walked away. And Katherine is way too smart. Damon thought he was very clever when he figured out that the "cure" was in the fish tank. But Katherine proved once again that she's not to be underestimated.
DeFan scene was fab! I loved when Damon said "It's our thing" about falling for the same girl and that they were basically repeating history. I am Team Salvatore as well although I do miss Stelena but I'm fine with Delena so long as Elena doesn't keep going back and forth between the two brothers. And that's what it looks like is going to happen in the next episode, unless Elena has some sort of plan for whatever it may be or it's Katherine pretending to be Elena. But I agree with you completely Edlyn more than SE/DE or any other pairing, I watch for DeFan, and of course Katherine.
I also want to see a Stefan-Katherine scene, one with no other characters present. I think Katherine lets her real self through when she's with Stefan or at least that's what I got from watching her in past seasons in her interactions with Stefan.
