So, is it a sudden change of mind and tracks by Gul and Zee? Or did they decide on the launch of the show that they will wait till Holi to make Asad introduce Ayaan and Zoe? Is it the realization that AsYa are QH's USP and playing a months long hide and seek with Ayaan not seeing his future Mona Bhabhi is no longer relevant now? Or are you in for a further twist in the tale? Here, you were expecting some earth -shattering meeting of realization between Raabert and Mona after damage is done to Asad. But what is it that Gul delivered to you? An Asad-friendly meeting between Asad's Ayaan and Asad's Zoe. Very light , bicker-ish and child like. And you are looking at your TV screen like - Gulli? Are you serious? You hid Monaa Bhabhi's face from Raabert for sooo long so that Lion Bhaiya introduces them , they shake hands , one goes back to his Shireen Mommy and the other goes to play Holi with that Bhookhi Chudail Aurat while hopping gleefully in Asad's car?
THIS. This is what i love about QH. The show gives you no time to think , keeps you engaged with its layered, complicated narrative and no matter how much you bang your heads - you have no idea what will happen next. Gul has learnt a lot from the mistakes in her previous shows and i must say, by far , QH is her only show on which she has a total conscious grip without getting swayed by your opinion.
Now, coming to the episode today. Hmmm... toh BCA ki nazar lag gayi hai Asad aur Zoe ko. She has read the innocence, hesitance of love and the clear man-woman chemistry between AsYa, so you can expect her to put her Asad-ko-shauhar banaao plan in full swing. Listening to Razia at this stage and getting paid for it works in BCA'a favour. Send Zoe back to USA ( Razia ko over estimate kiyaa humne - she is not planning to kill Zoe yet ) and put Asad in the folds of her silk and zardozi yards. And that Zoe's visa is about to expire could make it much easier for BCA. Infact, Razia , had she known about Zoe's visa issue , she wouldn't even need to spend her classy money on that Zardozi chick.
Now, coming to Zoe, Asad and Ayaan. With Asad, Zoe was a woman - not a friend or a buddy. Dancing around him, serenading him, getting lost in him and his arms, colouring him with so much love and going all blush. Opposite to this, Zoe was all buddy-gang dancing with Ayaan, Humzie, Tamaatar , Nikhat and gang. Even when Asad pulled the plug off the Raabert and Mona drama, Zoe and Ayaan were like how we like seeing them - bickering buddies. Zoe was more concerned about Asad's reaction to what all she has said about him to Ayaan . Asad looking here and there when Ayaan was innocently telling that just how much 'taareef' Asad has done of Zoe to him. Meeting over ,shake hands , buddy-giri begins and then , back to their individual fun. The handshake that Asad made Zoe and Ayaan do symbolizes a bond between Ayaan and Zoe only because of the man they both love - Asad. It indicates that in future whatever Mona and Raabert do, will be because of and centered around Asad. Aur kahaa na Ayaan ne Asad ko? Ki ye 'musibat' Asad ko hi mubaarak ho and he would rather take concessions here.
I liked Shireen's gesture of trying to put colour on Dilshie. Shireen harbours no hatred for Dilshie - its always been honour, respect, regard and the acceptance that even though Rashid is with her today , Dilshie is the only woman Rashid loves and will always love. But you cannot undo the past or uncomplicate the present. Between Shireen and Dilshie stand Asad and Tamaater, years of their abandoned childhood, a broken home, and so much pain and angst that who knows when Asad will be completely released from that agony. Asad has respect for Shireen as a woman and as Ayaan's Ammie , that is why he didn't blast her like he has done to Razia and Haseena Bi. But he has always maintained a clear distance between the two houses and i think its acceptable on his part. They are two different families and they are enemies by complication - one has to deal with it and such a mess never has an easy peace treaty. You need to UNCHAIN Asad from all that he has suffered and you need to give a TIMELY SPINE to Rashid.
Now, my favourite character of the day - My original hybrid tigress - Razia! What a display of aggressive emotions on sighting Zoe. From shock to angst to anger to pain to cold calculation. Razia hated Zoe's mother with a passion and the same passionate hatred glowed from her eyes on seeing Zoe. Years ago, Zoe's Ammie had flown down from USA demanding her rights as the mother of Gaffur's daughter . Razia killed her. Years later, history is repeating as Zoe has flown down from USA demanding her rights of a daughter. Oh, Razia, Razia. Karma is a vicious circle and you, a vicious avenger. Zoe, watch it! Asad, please watch Zoe!
Abb jaate jaate ek baat nahiin kahii, toh baat ki insult hogi. Ek baat maanni padegi Razia ke baare mein. No matter how big a vamp she is, insaan ki zaat aur aukaat khoob sahee samajhti hai and i loved her when she made BCA dance on her fingers. And admit it, Billo Rani jitnaa bhi bane, Razia se wo bhi khauff khaati hai.
P.S- Asad! Muffin, what has happened to you, baby?😲...Tu itnaa accha banega toh Zoe ek dinn tere ishq mein to pataa nahiin, but tere change hone ki khushi mein zaroor mar mitegi. Coffee se seedha black currant cheesecake? Zoe, Nikaah padhwa le yaar. Aaj kal Asad ka mood accha hai aur ek coffee ke mug pe hi tujhe Begum banaane ko tayaar ho jaayega.😉
