Welcome to
Acceptance of her grandchildren for the way they are, the cute squabbles she shares with them and her playful banter are a joy to watch! She is someone who values her family's happiness more than anything else in the world.
Chhan Chhan!! Born in a middle-class, well to do family where the bricks in the house are made out of love and the heartbeats are of those residing in it. A dog-lover by passion and profession. She has no idea how to be like a 'typical' girl and this frightens her Dadi even more.
Granny's words that her mother in law must love her like how she does love her daughter in law is going to be struck wide...coz thats not how the story is going to play out when Chhan Chhan finally gets married.
Puchpuch and Chhan Chhan are too adorable! In the scene where she is busy getting Puchpuch dressed for the wedding, it can be clearly seen that she loves her doggies more than herself. She gives more importance to them, rather than to herself.
Another important characteristic that was witnessed amongst Chhan Chhan and her group of friends is that if someone is angry or upset with Chhan Chhan, she has the ability to pacify them and do something / use a tactic to make the other person her friend again. She knows how to win the hearts of people. Example: She used Puchpuch to pacify her friends.
This will definitely be an important characteristic especially when she gets married and will need it to make the members of her husband's family be her friends.
Did anyone notice the two crucial scenes of the show had Chhan Chhan wearing green colour? One was her introduction scene and the other her sari.
Green is the colour of balance and harmony within the heart and the mind; growth, vitality, renewal and rebirth; restores energy; loves and nurtures oneself as well as others unconditionally; loves to contribute to society; optimistic; inspires hope; generous; has a strong sense of right and wrong; makes appropriate decisions with a high moral sense; nature lover + home, family, friends and pets lover; stability; perseveres and is strong to cope with adversity; self-reliant; sympathetic; compassionate; adaptable.
Aren't all these the characteristics of Chhan Chhan?? Let me know what you guys think.
CLASH OF THE TITANS
Chhan Chhan – A person who is idealistic yet is real
Both are strong-headed, independent, believes what they each do is always right, live by a certain ideology and principles.
But while Umaben loves to be superior with a huge ego and be the sole reason for the happenings in her world, Chhan Chhan is willing to adapt to the situation and is forced to ask for forgiveness just because she thought about her friend and her vrat being incomplete.
While Umaben is willing to tread on the crooked path to get her wishes complied with and has the cunningness to justify her ways, Chhan Chhan is outspoken about the injustice that happened in front of her eyes and voices it out.
For someone who is deep-rooted within traditional values and wealth, Umaben believes she can use money as a gift to the priest and get her prayers done. For Chhan Chhan who has been brought up with teachings of love, traditional values, and a sense of right and wrong, t is seen as a crime. The language of money should never be spoken in a place God resides.
This is definitely going to be clash between two different ideals and worlds.
Her words, "God does good for everyone but starts with me" shows that she has been the kingmaker of her world. But I always feel that this dialogue is not complete. My take is that everything starts off with Umaben but will only be finished/completed by Chhan Chhan herself.
It can be seen Chhan Chhan has no problems with someone who is traditional as she is one herself, but she dislikes someone who uses religion and the words from the scriptures to their own wishes and needs. And she has the courage to take a stand against those who misuse it.
Umaben however can be seen that she dislikes modern girls, firstly from the 'top-to-bottom' gaze that she gave Chhan Chhan and secondly, from the words she used like "little girl", "unable to understand the workings of the world", "modern" and "thoughts are also low". Umaben does not like anyone who argues and questions her actions. The fact that Chhan Chhan did these both, had her grow an instant dislike towards Chhan Chhan.
The same goes for Chhan Chhan who wished that no girl should get such a mother in law.
How both Umaben and Chhan Chhan are going to compromise and live under the same roof is going to be interesting to watch.
Scenes that stood out for me
⭐️⭐️Loved how the writer and director highlighted the feelings of a girl who was going to get married in a few hours. Her anxiety and fear of a new life and new family members, whether she looked presentable, her fear whether she can still be herself, meet her friends after marriage was spot on. Purvi's support is always her friends and the fact that any girl who has an arranged marriage has the same inner feelings were brought out onscreen perfectly.
⭐️⭐️As someone who is also part of a girl gang, I loved the friendship scenes. The pictures they were taking, the bonding that they shared, the way they solved each other's problems, everything was very realistic but the scenes were too dragged also. I personally loved the group hug they shared with Purvi in the room.
⭐️⭐️I loved the wedding decorations too, it had an amazing wedding feel to it when the house was shown. Can't wait to see how extravagant the decorations of Chhan Chhan's wedding would be.
⭐️⭐️I loved Sanaya's entry scene, they kept it as real as possible without any dramatic quotient added to it. I loved that look of hers a lot!
⭐️⭐️Puchpuch…there is nothing left to say about him! He is the cutest doggie I have ever seen! Simply adorable!
⭐️⭐️I loved Umaben's background score…somehow I end up laughing like mad hearing it.
