Not sure about KTLK 2, simply because of the TRP game. KTLK was almost always languishing at 0.5 to 0.8, and at that rate advertisers do not get generous. Look at the ad spend on BV or Diya Bati. Without good sponsors, no matter how much we desire for them to come back, I doubt.

The TRPs were not too bad by Sony standards till October last year...they started going downhill ever since...the fact is none of the new shows have been able to get to where KTLK was...if they work hard enough, they can revive its fortunes..much depends on how they intend to position themselves as a channel...!

Very well written post Sujatha.KTLK had a lot of potential but the lack of proper planning & faulty execution of tracks had depleted its loyal fan base over the period of time.I,who never watch any daily soap became addicted to it & even during the torturous tracks,I thought that the show will make a comeback! I feel the story was very much restricted from the start & they finished the main story very quickly in 3 months ...so if the season-2 comes,hope they plan it well & don't repeat the same mistakes! You have rightly said that both SK-KK looked very positive yesterday for S-2 so that's an additional advantage.
