CHAPTER 1:

MR AND MRS DESAI
KIYA
KIYA (INNER THOUGHTS)
AVANTIKA AND OTHERS.

(A week before)
KD POV

Mr.Desai: "I dont care whatever you say. i am going to get you married and that's final" (for the 1st time lost his temper at his son but was still trying to calm down.)
KD stood there silently taking in what his Dad was saying. it was taking a while for him to register the statement. looked at his mom for some help.
Mrs.Desai:" I cant help you this time Keshav. I think your father is right. we have had enough. everyday the new paper has new headlines saying KD is out with another girl. it isnt doing good to the business as well as the family reputation. we have always listened to you sweety now its your turn." She approached her son and placed her hands on his shoulder lovingly.

KD was angry now as he realized that his parents aren't going to let this pass easily yells: "i am 21 years old and i can very much do whatever i want.

Mr.desai had a shocked look on his face when he noticed the manner his son had spoken while Mrs. Desai was hurt with the way her only son had spoken she had always thought her son was a kind hearted guy.

KD had enough of this discussion got out of the room and slammed the door in anger as he left from there. he couldnt take the fact that his parents are going to force him into the impending doom.

Meanwhile, Kiya was attending her college. She still didnt understand why she decided to come to such a stuck up college. where people only cared about money and nothing else. not that she was from a poor family but the people in this college treated her like one.

"Hey Ms. Gujral" snickered the schools most popular b***h Ruby. It was just the 10th day of college and Ruby had taken it up on herself to let the whole college know that Kiya was on scholarship. She was bent on making Kiya's college life a living hell.

Kiya was cursing herself for taking the decision to study in this college. she had to prove her step mom and that is why she was her. she constantly told herself. she was already hating the college because of the students in it. Kiya was deep in her tthoughts when she was startled by the bell and thus she headed to the class room.
All the 100 students in the class started to stare at Kiya and suddenly started to laugh.
"What are they laughing at? Kiya thought to herself.

"Excuse me? " a girl from the class stood up and tapped Kiyas shoulders. Kiya gave her a anger glare.
"um...there is a...here" she said reaching behind Kiya's back and pulling off a piece of paper.

The girl held it in front of me and i was filled with embarrassment as the words read "SCHOLARSHIP STUDENT"I snatched the paper from her hands and crumpled it and threw it aside. Everyone except the girl who helped me laughed. this was it. who the hell do they think they are?

At that moment the Maths teacher had entered the class. (kiya had taken up maths as a hobby subject as she always loved Maths)

"Settle down class" Mrs. Gupta spoke as soon as she reached her table. "who could tell me the answer to this problem if f(x)= x^4-x+2 then what does f(-x) equal." she questioned as she scaned the entire class to see whom she should pick.
Kiya mean while stared praying the teacher doesnt call her name, but luck wasnt at her side. she heard her teacher call out her name.
T: Kiya? come on answer this question? come on i am sure you know the answer to this question? you are the top student how has appeared her on scholarship.
Kiya was disappointed that the teacher has reminded the class again about her scholarship.
K:um...X^4+x+2
T: i knew you wouldnt let me down.
"teachers pet" she heard someone call her under the breath which was heard by everyone other than the teacher and the started to laugh.
As soon as the class was over Kiya rushed out of the class before anyone else.
"Hey!" someone called from behind but i kept walking. "Wait up" she pulled kiyas shoulder back so she was facing the her.
"i just wanted to say dont listen to what people say they are just self conscious so they have to bully others" the girl who helped Kiya said with a sweet smile. "thanks" kiya replied at the same time wondering why was this girl being nice to her.
"I am Avantika" she said and gave me a look as if too ask what my name was. "i am Kiya" i replied to her.
"cool" she smiled.

College was finally coming to an end but Kiya was more fuming with anger than before. Ruby and her stupid group of friends thought it would be fun to purposefully trip Kiya in the cafeteria making all her soup fall on over her ofcouse all laughed leaving aside one person that was Avantika.

Over the day Avantika and Kiya had become good friends and i surprisingly told her all about my life before this college. She was a rich girl from the Desai family, never heard of their name before.

"scholar did you like meeting the floor earlier?Ruby cracked up with her friends. It annoyed Kiya to a great extent. "keep on laughing and i will show you one day how it feels to be me." she thought to herself.

She marched towards her Alto as she had had enough for the day but suddenly she bumped into someone, making her drop all her books. the guy didn't even bother to day sorry to her and instead told her to watch where she was going and that pissed her off even more.
"pick it up" Kiya growled at him.
The guy stopped dead on tracks and turned around scowling at Kiya "what?"
"you heard me. are you deaf?" Kiya yelled.
"do you know who i am?" he replied a bit louder
"i dont care whoever you are. now pick up the damn books like you should have" Kiya snapped. They both were exchanging glares and suddenly people started to crowd around.
In the ended the guy ended up picking Kiya's books but she wasnt going to let him go this easily "-and a sorry " Kiya added

He narrowed his eyes at Kiya and shoving the books with a soft "sorry" left mumbling something under his breathe. Kiya watched as he stomped towards his BMW and got in it
"Rich people" was all Kiya could mumble.

Hey guys so here is the end to the every 1st chapter of this FF... i have mess it up big time...i know and i am sorry for this disappointing chapter. But i posted this anyways as i know you guys were looking forward to it.
NOTE: please like the chapter for getting PMs as i have a huge friendlist and i dont want to trouble all so PMs will be sent to only those who like the chappy. i always love to read comments...so i will look forward to each and everyone of you's comment.
