NEW DELHI: Bollywood's top actor Amitabh Bachchan will sing again in the Hindi-language film "Nishabd," or "Wordless," in the role of an aging romantic who falls in love with a teenager, a news report said Wednesday.
Director Ram Gopal Varma plans to release Bachchan's soundtrack separately, creating a new trend in the Indian film industry, The Times of India daily said. The movie is expected to be released early next year.
"We don't really have a culture of film songs being released as singles in India," the newspaper quoted Varma as saying.
Bachchan, 63, stars with debutante 19-year-old Jiah Khan in "Nishabd," inspired by Vladimir Nabokov's famous novel "Lolita."
