'So where tonight ?' Taani walked in Rey's room eating an apple
'Oh Gosh ! Ur naked ' she quickly turned around
'Are u kidding me ? I'm only shirtless . Uve been living wid me for 2 years now Taani , get used to it ' Rey smirked
'Stop annoyin me and put on some clothes u brat ' she yelled
Rey quickly wore his tshirt
'Primp n proper now' he said half smiling
'So with whom tonight ?' Taani raised a brow
'Pooja !!!!! ' He said dreamily
'Aahhh ! I cannot tell u Taani she's sooo ummm HOT !!! ' He said almost droooling
'Eeewww ! Get a life Rey ! I've never heard u calling a girl pretty or beautiful '
'Hahah !! That's gonna happen only when I see their facess and not ... ' he flicked on her nose
'Cover up for me tonight ' he spoke grabbin his car keys
'Yeah yeah like always ' she spoke in a whisper heading back to her room.
Taani had been living with the Singhania's since her graduation started in an elite delhi college . Her parents worked in mumbai so she had no option than to live with the Singhania's , her parents business partners. She was fond of Rey since the first day she saw him , it was like love at first sight.
But then she slowly got to know that he's a casanova , heartthrob of the college . She locked in her feelings for him for forever !! Except that her bestie Sharon knew about it obv becoz she could read Taani's expressions.
Now Rey and Taani were best of friends and it was final year of their graduation.
She was always a bookworm. Topping her school and then college as well. But she was absolutely stunning , behind her glasses were 2 brown pair of gorgeous eyes , and her hair was always tied up and she never wore makeup.
Her mom always told her ' u don't have to change urself for anyone. If someone truly loves u , they will accept u the way u are '
Sitting in her room she started completing her pending assignments. Time passed by and the clock struck 3am.
'Damn !! If aunty gets up what on earth m I going to tell her ???'
Suddenly she heard a knock
Trembling she opened the door
'Taani beta still up?'
'Yea aunty was working'
'Ohh ! Whrs Rey I can't find him anywhr in the house'
Taani got panicky
'Aunty actually Rey ...ummm Rey has ...has...gone...out '
'What????? Its 3am why isn't he back yet???' His mom yelled
Taani got scared
'No no aunty . He's gone out becoz of me. I didn't have some notes so he's gone to get them from a frnds house since we have a submission tom' she stammered
'Hmmm are u sure taani Beta?'
'Yes aunty ofcourse . Don't worry u sleep . '
'Okay then goodnight' his mom spoke closing the door
'Phew !!! Rey better pays for this !!' Taani thought
She sat back staring at her completed assignments. The clock struck 4'30am.
She dialled Rey's number
No response
'Damn this guy will relly put me to death'
When suddenly her window barged open
She quickly turned around only to see Rey climbing in.
'What the f**k Rey ? Whr have u been ? Its 4'30am u know aunty just came in smtime back'
'Sshhh' Rey put a finger on taani's lips.
Her eyes instantly locked up with his.
'How do u manage to speak so much taani?' He trailed off
'Gosh ! Ur drunk ! Aarrgghhh get to bed NOW '
'Ok ' he spoke like an innocent baby
And pushed himself on the bed , making Taani fall beneath him in process . He landed on top of her
And their eyes locked again.
Rey for the first time was so lost in Taan's eyes , which were covered by those glasses. He kept staring at them , makin Taani's heartbeat fast.
he slowly brought his hand up and took off her glasses slowly revealing the most intoxicating pair of eyes ever.
'Uve got beautiful eyes Taani' he spoke staring right into her eyes.
'Rey I think u shud...'
'Shhh! I told u to shutup didn't I ?"
He slowly leaned in closer to her , making her lose her breath. His lips were inches apart while their bodies were plastered . Rey leaned in a lil more but unfortunately his leg hit the vase on Taani's side table , as it broke
Taani quickly pushed him away and got up to see the vase.
'Ahhh damn ! U idiot see what uve done' she turned around only to find Rey sleeping like a cute baby with a pout.
She smiled to herself and began cleaning the broken pieces. She sat on her couch and fell asleep withing a few minutes.
'Gooodmorning ' she spoke with a mug in her hand.
'Aaahh my head spins ' Rey spoke grabbing his head
'Yeah ! U were drunk last night. Here take this coffee and get outa room I need to get ready for college asap' she spoke going to the washroom
Taani quickly took a shower and came out in her bathrobe , and found Rey lazying around on her bed.
'Omg ! What the hell is wrong wid u ? I told u to leave ' she spoke hiding inside the washroom.
' God ! Taani why u so melodramatic ? Ur still wearin a robe wich covers freaking whole of ur body' he spoke gettin up from his bed
'Whatever ! LEAVE ' she yelled
'Fine fine' he moved out of the room closing the door.
As he entered his room , he remembered last night's ' almost a kiss ' he smiled to himself.
Rey was in love with Taani . But he considered her too good for him, she was perfect , good looks wich ofcourse only he knew , good grades and everything good whereas he was a casanova , avg grades and nothing else apart from looks. She deserves someone far much better than a useless Rey, this is what he used to think. To divert his Mind from Taani he used to go out flirt get drunk with other girls. But last night he almost lost control under the influence of Alcohol.
Taani quickly got ready and left for college .
'Morning Sharon' she spoke putting her books in the locker
'Hi miss goody two shoes' Sharon smirked at her
'Whatever'
'Where's Rey?'
'I don't know he's a jerk' Taani said irritated
'Ugh ! U both ! Why can't u just admit u love him?'

Taani turned around and saw Rey leaning on a girl smiling . Taani's heartbroke seein him like tht
'Arrghh! I hate him' she spoke abruptly
'No baby u love him! admit it 'Sharon spoke dragging her to Rey.
'Hey Rey' Sharon spoke
'Hey girls!' Rey hugged Sharon as Taani acted like she's lost reading.
'Excuse me . I'll get back' Rey said to the random girl
'What's up Sharon?'
'Dude we have our Prom Night tom !! I need u to put up these Flyers all over the college . And yes duhh u gotta come ul be the Prom king but obviously'
Rey bowed down ' haha Rey's missing Prom? Not happening anyway whose the queen first tell me that?'
'Donno we'l decide on voting whoever looks the best supposedly. What say Taani?'
'Ah uh ! Yea whatever suits u guys'
'Ur coming right ?' Rey spoke to Taani
'Nahh I have work '
' Taani stop bein a spoil sport ! U gotta come ! M seriously dragging u ' Rey said annoying
'Cut the crap Rey I sed m busy' she spoke angrily n walked off
'W*F is wrng with her ?' Rey asked Sharon
'Don't worry she'l be fine and she will come . I will make her'
'Kkay ! See u girls then' Rey walked off with the flyers.
Sharon Dragged Taani to her place after college.
'What is it Sharon??' She said lying lazily on Sharon's bed
'We are going out '
'Where ?'
'Shopping spree'
'Why?'
"For ur prom dress"
Taani instantly sat up
'Sharon I told u I don't wanna go '
'And I told u , u ARE going ! What shitt is this Taani ? I know why u don't wanna go . So don't even try that wid me . '
Taani kept silent as a tear drop fell from her eyes
Sharon sat up next to Taani 'Aww Taani don't cry . I know how much u love Rey , its so visible . Bt u never gave him a chance , atleast explain ur feelings to him maybe he feels the same way . Communication is the key '
'NO way ! I can never tell him Sharon ! Don't u know the types of girls he hangs out wid ? I'm just a friend material not a gf material . I mean imagine I'm 21 and I haven't even kissed in my life . He'l probably think m a retard if I tell him I love him'. Taani sobbed a little
'Shutup Taani! Ur not a retard ! Ur in love since f**king 3 years . Do u even know how long that is ??'
Taani half smiled ' no one better than me would know how long that is . But whatever , Rey won't know about my feelings end of topic '
'Okay wokay ! Now let's get ur ass out from here ' and Sharon literally dragged Taani to a mall close by
It had been almost 3 hours that Taani had been trying on dresses but sharon always ended up finding a fault in it . But finally the sales girl brought something that amused both Sharon and Taani
'YES ! We are so buying that ' Sharon clapped in excitement
'Its beautiful ' Taani couldn't imagine herself in such a beautiful gown.
Exhausted Taani finally reached home oly to find Rey pacing from here to there.
'What's up ?' She spoke lazily
'What's up ??? Really? Can u see the freaking time ? Its 11pm Taani ! Where the hell have u beeen ?'
'Wooah ! Relax stupido I was out shopping '
'Shopping ? Wid whoo ?? Leme guesss that idiotic Varun who keeps lingering around u like a gum ? ' Rey was gettin aggressive
'Rey relax what's wrong wid u ? ' Taani was gettin worried
Rey held her shoulders and shouted ' its 11pm Taani ! Ur never this late ! What's wrong wid u ? I was worried like a mad man , I called u bt ur phone went off ! I was about to go out to look for u !! '
For the first time Taani saw care , a diff type of care in his eyes .
'I was out shopping wid Sharon' she spoke trying to free her arms , as they pained due to Rey's grip.
'U could have atleast informed me !!' He tightened his grip
'Ouch !' And instantly Rey got back , his eyes fell on her red arms. And Guilt took all over him.
'Taani I ...I am...'
And Taani ran away to her room.
Rey followed her and enter her room.
She was sitting on her bed , weeping in pain.
'I'm so sorry Taani . I just didn't realize I was getting so aggressive'
'There are many more things that u don't realize '
Rey was puzzled
'Wait leme get some ice '
'No I'm fine'
'Okay m gettin it '
Rey got back wid a bowl of few ice cubes
He sat near Taani and gently rubbed the ice cube on her arm
'Ahhouch' she spoke softly
'Is it paining much?'
'No it feels great ! Duhh its paining '
Rey let out a soft smile
'She's too cute ' he thought
He gently massaged both her hands , while Taani kept stealing glances at Rey , she had never seen this side of him . It was magical to see him care for her. While Rey too kept glancing at Taani , her bronze skin , intense eyes always drove him crazy , her innocence was beyond Purity !!
'Its done ! Feeling better ?'
Taani nodded
'Sleep now ! Btw are u coming fr the Prom ? '
'Yeah I am '
Rey smiled widely ! 'Great ! Awesome ! Amazing ' and he couldn't help himself hugging Taani tightly. For the first time Taani felt butterflies in her stomach , as she felt this wasn't a friendly hug. His hands roamed around her back caressing it , as he buried his head in her shoulders , ' she smelled so sweet ' , his breath and the feel of his lips was giving her goosebumps . Rey was losing control , he tilted his head to the side of her neck , sendin her chills as his lips came in contact with the nape of her neck.
Suddenly Rey's phone rang. And they instantly pulled out of the hug, catching themselves in the most awkward position ever.
'Ahh ! I'm gonna go now ' Rey spoke stammerin
'Goodnight' she spoke softly
Rey came out of her room feeling completely lost ' gosh ! How much I love her '
Taani sat on her bed thinking abt the moments tht went by ' why do I love u so much Rey?'
Finally The Prom day arrived !
Taani went over to Sharon's place to get ready . As she came out of the washroom wearing this
Sharon stood stunned. ' I always knew , ur beautiful ' she said jumping in excitement.
'Shutup Sharon ! '
'Wait ! Wht crap is this ? ' Sharon said removing her glasses and untying her hair
'Much better'
'But I can't see'
'Hahah! I have contacts . Wait a second'
And Sharon helped Taani put on contacts. She highlighted Taani's eyes wid Mascara and light shadow , and glossed over his lips wid shades of pink and beige. Soft Curled her hair , she tucked on beautiful small swaroski earrings , Sharon completed her look by putting on some glitter on her exposed neck and back .
'Eeewww this loooks sick ' Taani protested
'Did I ask for ur opinion? No right ? So zip up'
'Ahhh ! Now ur ready ' she spoke making Taani face the mirror.
'So Miss Taani Shekhawat don't u look gorgeous ?' And Taani couldn't help bt smile to herself.
As they reached the venue . All eyes were stunned on Taani , all the guys were droooling over her , when Rey saw crowd gathering near the dooor.
He caught hold of a guy and asked ' what the hell is happening ?'
'Dudeee u gotta see her man . Shit shit leme go ' the guy went near the door leaving Rey confused.
As Rey slowly walked towards the door , his world stood still right there as he saw Taani , His Taani looking 'Beautiful' standing there , nervous , her eyes were searching for someone. The moment she met Rey's intense eyes , a blush acrossed her face. She slowly walked upto him.
'Hi' she spoke
'Taani u look Beautiful' Rey blurted out. Making her red.
'I mean who did this to u??'
'the great Sharon Rai Prakash ' sharon spoke while approaching them.
'Isn't she looking gorgeous ?'
'Yaaahhh undoubtedly' Rey's eyes were glued on Taani
'Now excuse us Rey we have to prepare for prom king n queen'
Sharon took away Taani , and Rey couldn't stop her. ' There is no way a girl like Taani would ever love me ' he thought broken hearted.
The prom king was announced - Reyaansh Singhania aka Rey !!
He went on the stage smiling.
'Now the prom queen ! And to our surprise 98% of the votes went to ...Miss Taani Shekhawat ' Sharon yelled making Taani shocked.
She walked upto the stage and stood next to Rey smiling at the crowd, as Rey turned to see her , his heart skipped a beat seeing her beautiful smile. ' I wish I could make u mine'
'Now the king and queen will have their first dance'
Rey and Taani went on the dance floor. Rey's one hand was on her waist while other was entangled in her hand. Taani's both hands were on his shoulders. As they started slow dancing , Taani n Rey both felt something awkward btw them , they both knew something is going on but the fight was only that who will be the first. They kept dancing when a guy approached Taani 'can I have the pleasure to dance wid u ?'
Taani looked at Rey whose eyes were painful but due to courtesy she sed 'yes' and started dancing with the guy. Rey went and stood near a corner.
'If u love her so much , then have the guts to tell her ' Rey turned around to find sharon
'No Sharon ! Look at her man . She's got everything. And look at me I stand no where compared to her'
'Really Rey ? Since when did u start talkin like a pig? Atleast tell her how u feel. U don't know where she'l be in a few days after graduation , and if u don't tell her now then its never . Be a man Rey ! Go tell her . Leave the rest on her '
Rey thought for a while ' are u sure?'
'Go u moron ! Now !!!'
Rey smiled at her and went upto Taani' I need to talk NOW !'
'Sure ' she sed . Rey grabbed her wrist and took her out of the hall to the backyard .
'I need to tell u something Taani'

Taani's heart skipped a beat .
'Oh God Rey ! U fall in love every week. '

'Whose it ? From our college ?'

'Rey ...I ...I ...love u too' she spoke lowering her eyes.
'What????? U do ??? Since when ??' He asked shocked
'Since the first day I saw u. It was love at first sight'
'Ohh Taani why didn't u tell me ?' He asked pulling her closer.
'Becoz I always thought I'm not ur types. U fall in love every week , I was sure u wouldn't even see me like that . '
'And I thought u wouldn't love a guy like me , since ur PERFECT '
'But I do love u Rey ' she spoke staring into his eyes.
Rey cupped her face 'I love u too Taani' and slowly started leaning on her , Taani's eyes closed that very moment as she knew what would follow. Slowly her breathing became heavy as she felt their bodies brushing , his breath was now on her lips, their lips were an inch apart , and he slowly brushed his lips onto her shiverin lips and kissed her gently , Taani reciprocated that very moment , making Rey lose his control as he kissed her wid intensity and urgency , their tongues met and Taani felt weak in her knees , Rey kissed her deeply . He had never felt like this before , this kiss was intoxicating him. He was gettin crazy as his hands ran over her smooth back . Taani felt like a princess , whose prince charming just kissed her. Her hands ran over his hair, Rey began kissing her neck urgently making Taani moan . Suddenly she realised where they were and pulled back instantly.
'Rey !' She spoke breathing heavily
'Gosh ! I never knew I loved u sooo much Taani. U are already making me insane'
He spoke hugging her tightly as she hugged him back.
'Let's go inside now . Sharon would be waiting' taani said Blushing.
Rey entwined his hand into her's as the both entered the hall together .
