Why is Neeru putting up a façade?

Called up Neeru Bajwa to find out her temporary single status, sans beau Amit Sadh who is locked up in the Bigg Boss den, expecting her to say how much she is missing him. Imagine our surprise when she coolly replied,
"Please refrain from writing about Amit and me at this juncture. I am concentrating on my film career and he is doing his thing." She refused to divulge if they were still together or had split.

We will let you on to one thing though - since we could not get through to her number, we tried Amit's cell and she received the call! In one of the Bigg Boss shows, she has even sent gifts of chocolate and cookies to Amit.

To jog your memory cells, a few months back Amit had openly declared that things were not fine between them and they were on a verge of a split. But the tide turned in favour of this duo and they once again got back to their cosiness.

If the ousted contestant of Bigg Boss is to be believed, the couple is wary of Neeru's career as heroine in Punjabi films, being sabotaged if her 'hooked' status is revealed. Hence, the deception of being single!

We have witnessed quite a few married/engaged actresses making it big despite revealing the marital status. Ayesha Takia is a case in point who, in spite of revealing her boyfriend in Farhan Azmi, is making waves in Bollywood. Or is Pallywood (Punjabi film industry) different?

Makes us wonder to what extent these actors will go to attain star status!
