New twist in the romantic tale..

In another twist, or what seems to be another destiny's strategy to bring the two lead protagonists, Saras and Kumud together, Saras is brought back to Ratnagiri. However, this time Saras returns not for Kumud, but for her brother.

Yash, Kumud's brother has killed a cow, which is considered a huge sin in the small town of Ratnagiri. In an effort to protect the boy and the family's name, Saras volunteers for another sacrifice. He takes the blame on himself in front of the crowd, which gathers around Vidyachatur's palatial house. However, this time, despite all ego hassles, Kumud decides to support him, saying that he wouldn't have committed the crime.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali' effort to portray the epic novel of the Gujarati novelist, comes full circle on Star Plus. The show, which replaced 'Mujhse kuchh kehti…hai khamoshiyan, has seen a surge in TRP's, with its larger than life depiction of the modern day tryst ofSaraswatichandra. The television show has Sanjay Leela's Bhansali's touch, which is clearly evident through the rich cultural backdrop, traditional rituals, minute detailing of the interior dcor and dressing. Loads of melodrama and merrymaking in the serial, at times, will make the audience catch a glimpse of 'Hum dil de chuke sanam' with 'Devdas'.

The sorrowful expression of Saras, coupled with the conflicting issues between him and Kumud, often remind one of the conflicts between childhood lovers, Dev and Paro. However, the kite festival, and other jolly good merry making will take you back down the memory lane of Aishwarya and Salman starrer 'HDDCS'.

Though the pace seems to be a challenge at times, the audience still remains glued with the slow motion of the characters. The expectation to see Kumud and Saras, is just another itch to witness an epic romantic alliance on silver screen.

As the epic story progresses, the audience will await with baited breath to know if Kumud can continue her support to Saras and if Saras can reciprocate the same, with some more empathy, consideration and above all love.
