She silent got off the car and walked away without a word….perhaps meeting his eyes would let her real self out…..and she didn't wish that……He smiled as he drove away but not after ensuring that she was safely in her flat…..He waited and kept looking for the lights to be switched on at her flat…..Unaware of both of them, he had taken up the role of a guardian angel in her otherwise solitary empty life…..

Arjun is as usual at Riya's gate dot on time and as they drive along
Arjun enquires trying to gauge her mood "tum ab teek ho?"
He needed to know that she was fine because they had the same case in hand and it was yet to be solved….And ETF had to solve it today!
Riya nods "hmmm"
Arjun: if you want, you can take a day off Riya…
[He had proposed that because he feared that the case would make her weak again…he wished to keep her away from anything that would depress her!]
Riya turned to his side with a smile "nahi Sir…aise bhaag nahi sakthi…I need to face it! and I promise, iss baar ek aam ladki ki tarah nahi balki ek ETF office bannke face karungi"
Arjun smiled and nodded assuringly at her….
ETF…
Chotu gives them a brief of the developments….."Sir, ab bhi wahi raag lekhe beita hai…kehtha hai ke torture toh kiya tha parr usse maara nahi…so whats next"
Arjun and Rathod take over and continue the interrogation….
Arjun: kyun torture karthe teh apne wife ko?? Pyar karthe teh na??
Vivek didn't reply…he looked exhausted from the questions and Chotu's treatments!
Rathod added "Anitha pe shaq kyun karthe teh?"
As they pile up questions, Vivek screamed out the answers "haan bohat pyar kartha tha….par ussne mujhe sirf dokha diya….kaisa lagega agar aapke wife kisi aur ke saat ishq lagaathi…[Arjun had a urge to punch him on the face when he said that but Rathod gestured him to stay calm while Vivek continued]...dil pe aag jaisa lagtha tha….apne aap ko jalaane ka mann kartha tha….usske saat waqt bithaana hi ek torture lagtha tha….usse choohtha toh…[he stops abruptly but all understood what he meant…after a pause, he added] phir bhi choohtha tha….usspe pati hone ka haq jamaatha tha…. In the cruelest way possible….it gave me relief! I had become a maniac…… and it was all because of her!
Riya could understand what he meant by that and though she was furious to the roots, she tried hard to cool herself down!
Riya: agar shaq tha toh usse poochthe ya separate ho jaathe…torture karne ki zaroorat kya tha??
Arjun turned to look at her when she asked that…she looked normal…only the intensity of the case gripped her face like all the others in the room….She wasn't taking it at a personal level! He felt relieved!
Vivek replied "pyar bhi tha….nafrat bhi tha….dono mein kya zyaadha tha, yeh mujhe nahi patha….usse aise aazaad chodh nahi saktha tha….isiliye harr raat usse…."
Arjun: [snapping him] usspe shaq hone ka wajeh kya tha???
Vivek: [remains silent for a while when Sameer forces him to reply, he replies] pehle ek letter aaya tha….usske character ke baare mein mujhe warn karne….maine uss letter pe yakeen nahi kiya…..parr mere mann hi mann mein ajeeb sa behcheni thi….i started checking Anitha's activities and found more about her close friendship with Shravan!…….phir mujhe kuch photos mili…..she and that bas**** Shravan…mujhe apne aankhon pe bharosa nahi hua parr jo sach hai usse maan ne se inkaar bhi nahi kar sakhtha!
Rathod: letter aur photos kahaan hai???
Arjun: Why didn't you tell us this so far??
Vivek: itna bhi important nahi lagaa….aur phir aap logon ne poocha bhi toh nahi!
Rathod banged the table before him "dammit! Important nahi lagaa…" he added sarcastically!
Arjun looked at him meaning "he is right Rathod…humne aise angle se dekha hi nahi"
Riya looked lost now….
ETF was almost convinced that Vivek wasn't the killer…..then who? That was the next big question!
They start examining the letter and the photos and start looking at the case from a different dimension altogether….
The handwriting in the letter is tested and it gets proved that it's a girl who has written it!
Shree examined the photos and instantly found that the photos weren't real…"sir, Anitha aur Shravan dono ke chehre ko morph kiya gaya hai….its someone else in the real photo!"
That made the motives clearer altogether…somebody wanted Anitha out of Vivek's life….
They questioned all at both Vivek and Anitha's circle of friends, relatives and colleagues….
After comparing the handwritings and the questioning, the girl behind the entire plan, Shweta breaks down before ETF….She works for the same company as Vivek…they were college mates as well…..Vivek's best friend infact! But they drifted a bit away after Anitha came into Vivek's life…..That didn't go down well with her…She wanted Vivek all to herself….
As part of her plan, she did a complete background check of Anitha and found out about her friendship with Shravan….then she started the game to sow seeds of suspicion into Vivek's mind….She very well know about Vivek's possessive nature….So a letter and a few fake phots was all that she required to draw the final line…..
But she was a bit taken aback when Vivek didn't want to leave Anitha…..Instead, he wanted to keep her close and keep punishing her in the cruel way…. Shweta that wasn't happy about it… Shweta had been keeping close tabs about the happenings around Anitha and Vivek….So it didn't take much of a time for her to know about Anitha's pregnancy…..And all her hopes came crashing down when Anitha decided not to abort her baby and kept it a secret by holding it back from Vivek… …
Shweta felt that Vivek might change all his ways when the baby comes into this world…..So she planned this brutal murder to erase Anitha off from his life forever!…..
She had become like a psycho in his love that she didn't think twice before hiring a contract killer for the job to finish off 3 innocent lives….she had planned only Anitha's murder…but Shravan fell prey to it by chance!
That evening, Anitha had got an anonymous call from the killer about Vivek's accident near the highway…..While she panicked and was about to leave office, Shravan had offered to take her there…..And hence, the killer finished off both of them leaving no clues…..
Shweta's plan wasn't foolproof because she was just blindly acting to win Vivek back….
Shweta spoke up before she was taken away, "mujhe patha hai maine gunaah kiya hai par pyar aur jung mein sab jaayaz hai!"
Arjun replied back "galath….bilkul galath…[glaring at her direction]….pyar ya dosti, dono hi tumaare liye ajnabi ehsaas hai Shweta….. pyar karna toh dhoor, pyar ka matlab bhi nahi samajh paayi tum!….pyar ka matlab kurbani bhi hai… …..tumne Anitha aur usske bacche ko Vivek se cheenkar apne pyar ko zindagi barr ke dukh diya hai…"
Vivek was totally shattered now….his own best friend had ruined his family….snatched away his wife and unborn baby……But he had to blame himself for all that he did to Anitha…..
He had killed her a hundred times even before her death….and even a lifetime wasn't enough to repent for it!
Riya walked to him and spoke up "agar tum apne pyar par bharosa karthe, toh shaayad yeh din nahi dekhna padtha….maana Shweta ne gunaah kiya lekin tum bhi utni hi zimmedhaar ho Anitha ke mauth keliye!"
Saying that she stormed out of the conference room…..
The case was solved and it turned out to be a really shock when the entire thing turned upside down and a new face surfaced up as the real killer…..
They had a long day but all were still in the aftermath of the shocking results and weren't able to call it a day….
Arjun was in his cabin and twirling his pen and was in deep thoughts about the case and also about Riya…..She walked in with the completed case file for his signature….
