8: ASR's interrogation
It was lunchtime when Azmih and Khushi came back to the Raizada Mansion, unfortunately to the sight of a pacing and very furious Arnav Singh Raizada. Unaware of ASR's anger, Azmih chirpily spoke up, "Hey ASR! We're back!" and destroyed Khushi's chances of escaping unnoticed into her room.
He turned towards the two ladies, who had offended him by ignoring him – something he was not used to. "Where the hell were you? Four and a half hours! No phone calls, nothing! What if something had happened to you?"
"Cool down ASR!" Azmih spoke. "We went to watch a movie. And Indian movies are long."
Ignoring Azmih, he turned his stare towards his wife. "Really? Did you watch the movie?" They both nodded. "So you are telling me, you went into the theater without the tickets?" He picked up the tickets from the table and showed it to the two.
"Oh! That's where the tickets went." Azmih exclaimed.
"Don't lie Khushi. Don't you dare. Where were you?"
"Arnavji, we really went to watch the movie." Azmih, who nodded like a bobble-head doll, supported her.
Crossing his arms, he narrowed his eyes at the two, and asked, "So you were able to go into the theaters, without tickets?"
Azmih nodded, again, while Khushi blushed, and shyly looked down. The difference in behavior did not go unnoticed by Arnav. "How?" he asked.
"It was all thanks to you ASR!" Azmih replied, excited to tell her plan. "My name is known in U.S., and in a few places in India. But my face and my age have always been hidden. So, people wouldn't believe me even if I told them I was Jivvy. But you on the other hand, have a fairly open personal life. People know who your wife is, although they've never seen her picture."
"Yeah so?" Arnav was still not getting it, and he really wanted to know since he saw the blush on Khushi's cheeks spreading down her neck and darkening.
"I told Khushi didi to take my Bluetooth and she acted like a very busy businesswoman, kind of like you do. She shouted when we were entering the theater, and said, 'Don't you know who I am? I'm Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, and one thing that the Raizadas don't like is waiting and wasting time! I can have you fired just like that! You understand! No one stops me when I go somewhere. Got it? Or else, you will not only have to bear my wrath but also ASR's!' And then, the ticket checker obviously heard her, and got scared, but he knew that our names where on the list, so he didn't ask for the tickets, and when I was pretending to take out the tickets from my backpack, he just told us to go inside. So cool right! In India, anything can happen! I love this country! Anyways, I'm famished. What's for lunch?"
"Even I'm hungry! It's been so long since we ate." Khushi added, the mention of food exciting her so that her blush disappeared.
"Yeah, and that gol gappa person put spicy juice in mine, after I told him specifically no spicy, only sweet! And that dabaili wala was so busy to serve us even another plate…who does that? But the coconut man was amazing. Did you know I love to drink coconut juice!? And the malai was mindblowing…" Azmih recalled her eating experiences.
Arnav, who was once again left out, asked, "When did you eat all of this?"
"While going to the theater, and coming back!" Azmih and Khushi replied together.

9: In Remembrance of the Delhi Gang Rape
Everything was going normally in the Raizada house; none of the Prakash brothers were hiding in storage units or under the kitchen sink, no one was chasing Laxmiji and talking her pictures, and no one was taking Khushi away from Arnav.
While Khushi was serving Arnav his breakfast, Akash asked, "Bhai? Where is Jivvy? I haven't seen her since the morning." Looking at the Prakashs' face, everyone knew that she had not appeared since the morning.
Just when Naniji was about to say something, they all heard a loud scream from the front door. Two policemen were standing on either side of Azmih, and lifting her up while she sat with her legs crossed and hands folded, growling at both the large guys.
"How dare you?" Azmih yelled at the bald policeman on her right. "I wasn't doing anything illegal or wrong by protesting! It's called freedom of speech, and every citizen in India has that right!" The policemen bent down, dropped her on the marble floors, and stood up again, clutching their sore backs.
Ignoring the girl, they went to Arnav and asked, "Mr. Raizada, does this girl live here? Do you know her?" Since everyone was shocked, no one could speak up, and only nodded. "She was protesting outside the large bus stand, and sat in front of the entrance, so that no bus could start its rounds. Because of her, a lot of people will be late to work! She interfered with public transportation and also accused the police and the politicians wrongly."
Azmih looked up at the two men and shouted, "Wrong! I didn't accuse you and politicians without any reason! You had no right to bring me here like this. I will make sure that you will be the ones to carry me back to the stand, place me in the middle of the entrance, and protest with me! If not, then my name is also not Jivvy!" Looking around, she spotted Hari Prakash, who was too shocked to hide. "Hari Prakash! Go bring my phone from my room!" HP went away to follow through the command.
"Wait one minute!" Naniji spoke up at last. "What is going on here?"
The angry policeman spoke, "This girl decided to accuse the Indian government by just reading an article about a raped lady."
"What? Raped lady?"
"Don't you read the newspaper?" Jivvy told Nani. "Here, I'll read it out loud to you." From her socks, she pulled out a section of the paper, and started reading, "December 19, 2012. A 23-year old medical female student was traveling at night in the public bus along with her male companion when she was gang raped. The bus passed through the police checks while the young girl was raped in the bus by at least seven men, and her male companion was beaten badly. Both of them were thrown off the bus at a far away stop."
"Hey Devi Maya!" Khushi whispered, imagining the horrors the raped girl must have felt.
"What does this have to do with Jivvy though?" asked Akash.
"This girl just believed the article, and decided that she would not let any bus leave the stations today. She sat in the middle of the entrance, and started shouting bad things about the government and the police. She created a lot of hassle that other girls had also joined her. She was interfering with public transportation, something that millions of people in India rely on to go to work everyday!"
"Really? If a million people use it every day, then why is it still not safe? Why have you corrupted people not done anything to prevent possible victims like that girl?" Azmih shouted at the police.
"Don't you dare insult us young lady!" the police warned.
"Those who don't have any morals or class cannot be insulted. All of you police are just criminals in disguise, while those politicians that you so respect are terrorists that have managed to deliver a few well-memorized lines." When she got her phone from HP, she turned to look at the towering men above her, and asked, "Now, will you take me back nicely, or do you want me to use other methods?"
"Try whatever you want, we will not carry you back to the station, and if you so much as step in there one more time, I will have you arrested!"
"Really?" Pause. "Okay then." She dialed a number and spoke on there. "Hello? Call Radio Mirchi and tell them that in order to cover the crimes committed by their colleagues, two policemen in Delhi, India are molesting a young girl who is protesting against the lack of actions taken in the rape case."
The Raizadas were staring dumbfounded at the girl before them, who was sitting in a swami pose between two very angry policemen.
"Nice try, but we are not so easy to fool." The police looked up at Arnav and said, "I hope you control her now."
"Hey listen! No one controls me, understand?" Azmih took out her pepper spray and hit the bulls' eyes. Khushi opened her mouth wide at what Azmih did, and was mentally praying to her best friend (Devi Maya) to keep her little companion safe. Just when the two men were about to react to the attack, a large group of media and civilians came in through the door, and shielded Azmih from the policemen.
One reporter questioned the bald man, "How can you think of doing something like this? She is old enough to be your daughter?"
Another one questioned, "Are you not ashamed?"
After a few moments of being questioned, the police finally asked, "But what did we do?"
At that moment, Azmih began sobbing and weeping, tears flowing down her cheeks. "My parents sent me here to experience Indian culture and stay closer to my country, but after what they both did today, I do not even want to think of myself as an Indian."
"Could you give us more details on what happened ma'am? Will you be filing a case against them?" One reporter asked.
"I read about what happened to a gang rape victim this morning in the newspaper, and I thought that we should all protest against this. We all are Indians, and we have to fight for each other! When I was protesting in front of the bus stand, these police officers came there and tried to make me stop. I wouldn't, so they molested me. I can never forget the places they touched...now I feel like a dirty person." And she began sobbing again.
Khushi was not the only one with her mouth opened in a O-shape; every Raizadas' mouth was big enough to hold two pani puris. Arnav thought that no one could be crazier than Khushi, but he was clearly wrong.
"Don't lie girl!" shouted the police, who was flabbergasted at the sudden interruption by the media.
Azmih started crying even more and said, "Look at how he is trying to threaten me!"
"We didn't even touch her!"
"Wrong! You touched my back and my inner thighs! And you even brought me here by doing such indecent things."
"We did no such thing!" The two men looked at the Raizadas, hoping one of them would help.
"What? You are lying! I saw you touch her in those places, and if you could do such things in front of us, then I wonder what you would have done with her alone!" Khushi spoke up. She realized what Azmih was doing, and when it came to fighting for their rights, Khushi would not back out. Of course she knew that they had touched Azmih since she refused to stand up or move, and they needed to carry her back home. The position Azmih was sitting in did not leave much option for them to carry her like Arnavji carried his wife. But, Khushi did not say all of this - after all, even Krishna played crooked. Arnav just stared at Khushi, unable to fathom what she was saying, and why.
One of the reporters asked Azmih, "Will you be filing a case against them?"
The two policemen began sweating, and looked at Jivvy and folded their hands and said, "No! Please don't!"
Azmih smirked before saying, "Then carry me back to where I was sitting and sit besides me and protest!" The two men nodded and did exactly that, without looking at the chirpy Mrs. Raizada that followed them, or the confused family and laughing reporters they left behind.
"What the! Why are you all laughing?" Arnav asked to the reporters.
One of them replied, after a lot of laughter, "The police actually believed us! We must be really good actors."
"Actors?" Shyam spoke up.
"Yep. Jivvy texted us the plan, and we all came here."
"How do you know her? This is her first time in Delhi!"
"Arnav bhaiya, she joined a tennis club and they all are regulars there," replied HP, who was also forced to join the club.
The group laughed and went away after bidding adieu. Arnav turned on the news, where he saw actual reporters talking about a growing group of people that had sabotaged the bus station and were pressurizing the government to change the rape case procedures and bring justice to the rape victim. They all recognized four faces - Khushi, who was sitting in the front and shouting out loud, Azmih, who was seated besides Khushi and shouting, and the two policemen who were trying to hide their faces and cursing their faith.Intro: Rudra fakes a relationship with his best friend Soumya to impress glamorous Bhavya-but ends up falling for the one girl who truly knew...
