Book/movie ending?

Hey guys, I was wondering if SC is also gonna end the way it does in the movie and book? SC ends up marrying Kumud's sister and Kumud marries a bad person who dies. If I have to watch SC marry anyone but Kumud then someone's gonna get hurt!!
