Sure---------------------------------First of all, I would like to clarify that this post isn't meant to be offensive, this is just an analysis of the acting benchmarks and thresholds currently seen. There are many actors present in the industry currently, i have tried to analyse a handful of famous ones, to see how they hold up to the standards of acting.I would start with VD. People dig his looks. As to acting, he is good but not great IMO. In PKYEK, he had a role in which he fit quite well, but didn't do complete justice. He could have showed various shades, but seemed too monotonous. In this show Madhubala, he seems to go slightly over the top. Although his character is written like that and that's what the script demands, he may maintain some control not to overact. He needs to work on comic timing too.KSG is a big name I hear. I have seen some of his work, and the dude seems most promising to me currently. He has got good looks and maintains a great physique. But acting wise also, he scores good. Now, i am not saying that he doesn't have faults. I have seen him as a easy, chilled guy in DMG and now in serious role in QH. Man holds up in both the situations. Although in really intense situations, he does seem to drop a notch, but overall the guy seems to trump others, currently.BS is another big name. But he does not seem to do it for me. He seemed absolutely monochromatic in his show. He seems to portray anger well, but needs to work on other emotions of his. An actor needs to have the whole range perfectly in his sleeves.Gurmeet is also a famous one. He too has been put in cliched characters, although when presented with tough scenes, he seems to have done average. Not excellent I will say, but he seems to try hard. The guy needs to work on his expressions. He too suffers from the same angry man syndrome. Seems to depict anger well but loosens in other situations. So, I conclude that overall KSG looks most promising, although other do give him some competition. Of course this is my subjective opinion, none of this is meant to be a universal fact.
Acting benchmarks and thresholds? 😲
I love the term benchmark. It means a point of reference against which things are assessed or compared. So I am curious, what exactly were the acting bench marks that you used to make such an analysis?
Unless you give the readers that point of reference against which you assessed the acting skills of the four actors you mentioned, how will we readers be able to judge if there is any validity to your analysis. My apologies, it seems more like an opinion than an analysis. And that is the thing with opinions isn't it? It is completely based on individual perceptions, right?
