The film that brought Salman Khan back into the limelight of Bollywood, 2003 super hit romantic tragedy Tere Naam, will soon be made into a sequel.
The story of Tere Naam ended with Salman Khan's character going back to the mental asylum. In the sequel, which has been titled Phir Tere Naam, Salman's character (while in the mental asylum) gets visions of a 'dead' Bhoomika Chawla asking him to re-start his life. She tells him to get himself out of the asylum and dedicate his life for the good.
This is exactly what he does, but as soon as he gets out, he finds that the world has changed and the task bestowed upon him by Bhoomika might be impossible.
It has been reported that the idea of the story is one of Salman's own, he has been penning scripts lately, and is eager to get this film on the floors.
He has approached the same producsers, Sunil Manchanda and Mukesh Talreja, and Satish Kaushik will direct once more.
Bhoomika Chawla may reprise her role but in a brief role, but a main female lead is being touted.
The only negative thing is that Himesh Reshammiya might not do the music this time, as he is very busy with other projects.
What do you think of this sequel? Do you think it will work? Will the subject of the film - a man out to change the world because on his dead lover's say so, work at the box office? Or is this a box office failure in the process….
