I disagree with this review.
- So, on one hand you're telling me you can see how Sultana Siddqui is considered a legend..but then on another hand you're telling me she has directed some pretty bad scenes..you have to think one or the other, otherwise, you don't agree with her being a legend. 😆 It's as if the writer doesn't want to degrade Sultana..but, oh by the way...
- Then the writer compares Sanam-Fawad's pair to that of Asher-Khirad's...perhaps, Kashaf-Zaroon's pair? It's as if people confuse characters with real life actors and vice versa. Anyway, the review mentions how there's a lack of ROMANCE between Zaroon-Kashaf when compared to Asher-Khirad..where did that even come from? 😆 There is no romance between the two as of yet. .. Anyone who even pays the slightest of attention would've realized that by now..needless to say, Asher-Khirad's pair REQUIRED romance and that too in the very initial stagesof the show. Pointless comparison..
- Personally, Sanam Saeed makes this show. She has had more scenes than anyone else thus far. In my opinion, if you find her boring then not too sure how you've hung onto this show for this long. Fawad is amazing as Zaroon as it goes with Sanam, this role was just for him, and only him...but to say he's the only saving grace of the show is nothing but exaggerated. No one could've played Kashaf better than Sanam..this goes down as her best performance yet, and to just simply say "she bores me" is a bit unfair. The show revolves around her..had she been a weak performer, this show would've ended for most of us a while back. I love Kashaf..and if it weren't for Sanam, honestly I probably wouldn't have liked her character. The best part about Kashaf is she's so real..and for that, I'd like to mention Umera. I disagree with the Umera bit. It's annoying to see the same repetitive bechari girl who 3% of the entire desi population can relate to - too beautiful to even be true, rich as hell, has everything, spoiled and whatnot..and despite all of that becomes a bechari somewhere down the line (most of us just think wth?). Here, there's someone who I'm sure more than just a few of us can relate to and in so many ways - FINALLY. And, Kashaf's deep thoughts are some of my favorites. The dialogues for me at least are so easy to relate to. After so long, I actually have seen a show with characters who seem like day to day people..and I think that due goes to Umera. However, I don't know what other people look for in shows..so perhaps each to their own.
Overall, I think the editing could've been better..the time gaps and locations can get confusing..the father scenes were a bit too many in the beginning, but it's been fine as of late. Personally, think Sanam & Fawad have an amazing chemistry and this is without a single romantic scene. You don't have to have romance in a scene for two people to click. Apart from that, this is probably one of my most favorite show of recent times..and I think everyone deserves credit for it. I mean there must be a reason why it's currently the best show on Pakistani television? or at least the most watched.
