What a cracker of an episode!! Wow!! Superlative performances all around...The kids were awesome in their confused pain and fear.

Letting go is an act of acceptance, not a denial of what happened. when you bring peace to the past, you can move forward to the future...

Suraj Pratap Scindia found his voice today...The wounded lion roared back, loud and fair, clearing all the doubts that he might have been quietened for awhile but he was never out. He rose in defence of the pride of his pride and to save his lair from internal attack. Gayatri might have been able to take the upper hand in the last few days by playing the guilt card but she forgot the ace was still in SP's hands. He had been holding it close to his chest till now because he wanted to give her a chance to play fair...to listen to her heart and not give in to bias. However, the shallowness of his wife's affections became evident when not only did she not stop Yash but also extended the treatment to little Palak, the child to whom she was a surrogate mother after Arpita's demise. She always flip-flopped with Ansh for obvious reasons. Today she judged even Palak through the eyes of apna/paraya. That was the moment when SP jumped back into the fray. He couldn't see his son and his family go on exile just because his wife had lost her sense of righteousness and fairness and was being blindly judgmental. In her psyche, she always had three sons; only now Yash has been replaced with Aakash. She deliberately smothered Yash's identity in her heart because somewhere she believed that Radha had stolen him...that the ties of umbilical cord are stronger than the thread of love that connects the hearts.

SP dealt the ace for two reasons: to stop Gayatri from causing any more divide and to stop Yash from leaving. He knew if he had given only a one-fourth share to Yash, his son would still have left. The only way to stop him was to burden him with a responsibility that he cannot back away from. He knew apart from Gayatri and Aakash none in the family will ever question Yash and his motive. Gayatri didn't leave SP with any choice there. It all came down to "my son versus your son" in the end...something Yash hated to see as he plead for his parents to cease-fire. Gayatri was too far gone by then. In her hurry to give back the lost thirty years to Aakash, she took Yash's devotional love for granted. Yash's decision to leave because he couldn't see Aarti undergoing anymore humiliation at her hands left her shell-shocked. She clearly hadn't expected that. The tug of blood won the battle over the tug of heart, as even after Yash expressed his wish that just to keep his heart if she had said she wanted him to stay, he would have been happy. But she didn't...and the equation was never more clear. In all the melodrama being played out in the house, SP showed why he is still the undisputed Head of the family when he took the decision that would halt the status quo temporarily. He very graciously accepted his mistake in front of Yash, when his son was hell bent on taking the rap for a mistake he never committed..."It was never your mistake Yash...it was fate and it was my mistake...so why should you leave?"

Aakash showed his biological mother's trait when he found Radhama leaving with Yash but didn't step forward to either stop her or say a few words to her, though his heart too felt the tug and shock on realizing that she too would have to leave...that she was in the house because of Yash. If he wanted, he could have extended his rights to hold her back, but clearly he sees her as a hindrance to his larger goal, which is the money. Yet the moment SP announced his Will, Aakash demanded his pound of flesh from his "mother" otherwise he would stain the "bond" with blood. The irony between Yash's and Aakash's inclinations was played right in front of Gayatri: one leaving his all for her and the other using her as the medium to get all...but Gayatri was blinded by a thirty-year-old deception and love of a new-found son. Her anger and angst were both misplaced and misdirected in this entire scenario...She tried to get back at SP through Yash and Aarti. You see everyone kept accusing her of maternal bias and step-motherly treatments...but hardly anyone extended a hand of sympathy for the pain she suffered as woman and as a wife because of her husband's infidelity. That pain turned into anger and burst out on Yash because he was the symbol and a reminder of that infidelity. Radha's presence in the house made the matter worse.

That's it friends. I guess the CVs have a plan in mind post-Gayatri. Why else would they give her such a gruesome death? Yash and Aarti's cup of woes are going to spill over it seems...!!!

Have a nice day.😊

I love your narrative analyses so much! The episode's scenes just flashed in front of my eyes again as I was reading through this. I so badly wanted to let sympathy for Gayatri overpower the shock I felt as her actions, accusations, and telling moments of inaction conveyed the imbalance of her "mamta ki tarazu" (in Aarti's words). After what happened to Yash, Aarti, and now to Ansh and Palak as a result of Gayatri's selective responses, I somehow can't see that happening. I was left appalled, honestly. I do feel for the woman in her, but seeing as she is also a mother, her "I have three sons" statement made my jaw drop - and not in a good way, either.
P.S. I did something akin to a double-take when I read that part towards the end about "Aarti's" blindness...And then I understood whose name was intended to be there instead. Gayatri is seeming more and more like Gandhari to me now. With a PV-spin on the characterization, of course. I wonder how many more unexpected things are heading our way in the coming weeks.

Thanks Borna...and thanks for pointing out the error.

I have to give it to the CVs; up till two days back I was giving the benefit of doubt to Gayatri. There were flashes of old Gayatri in her dealings with Yash and Aarti. In fact she could not see Yash squarely in the eye ever since she began this khandaani khoon/ganda khoon tamasha. In fact the two times Radha has spoken to Gayatri, she was spot on. Anyways, it is evident now that Gayatri's rationale had crossed the boundary line with that sixer...when it all started.
