I have'nt yet become a wife, but wording up my mother's experience...

'' I may not be contributing to the financial front directly... I may not be directly making a better nation, But, I'm definitely making a better 'YOU' THAT IS DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTING TO A BETTER NATION''

'' I'm no super women... I knew, I had to make my Daughters what they are today... Doosro ke bachhon ko padhane se pehle, main apne bachhe ko toh padha loon...'' N m telling this bcoz my mother has extra ordinary capabilities handling & training kids... Getting Job offers from best schools of the city, she chose to remain at home just for her daughters, is no less a sacrifice n a contri to the nation, that is not defined in monetory terms...

But things have changed over a period of time... After settling me wid my studies, my mom opened up a Kinder Garten here at home... N trust me, she runs it beautifully... Even in the evening hours, parents to come with a request to tutor their kids, to get admitted into the best schools of the city...
Ab toh aalam ye hai, ke mere Papa, mummy ko unke naam ki jagah- ''Madam'' hi kehke pukarte hain...
N trust me guys, I'm proud of her... She says, she isn't a super women, but she is... Right from my childhood, not only she had been my mentor, but my tailor, my barber, my councellor, my frnd... Indeed my best buddy... N deffo, I would have had missed it a lil of it, if she was a working one then...

A special mention to the words of a friend of mine...-'' Aazeen, main apne bachhe hone ke baad ghar par rehna chahti hoon... Taaki jab mere bachhe school se ghar wapas aaye, unhe greet karne ke liye unki maa ho... Unhe woh na feel karna pade, Jaisa saari zindagi maine feel kiya hai...''

PS: I do not intend to hurt anybody's feeling here... Sabki apni-apni situations hoti hain... Plz don't take it at heart...

@Neelima ji,

Just I could go through few pages of 'Master Stroke: 100 Centuries of Sachin Tendulkar '..

I have asked my nephew to send me a copy too... I am a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar and I am ecstatic to know that I am talking to the author of the book who had compiled information of every single century of Sachin!!!!! ...And I know her personally too...

Thank you very much Neelimaji...

This book is a treasure to store for a fan like me... I appreciate all the minute details you have collected and presented here.

Thank you Mudraswathi,It's my pleasure..
I was crazy about cricket since my childhood...When i was 15 ,I started writing down in notebooks
each and every detail about India's every match..that was the year 1971 when Sunil Gavaskar played his famous first series in West Indies...i have handwritten original data in about 20 notebooks and I make it uptodate after India's every match..Yesterday we won the third Test against Australia and all the details are there in my notebook...I was doing this only for my own
pleasure and kept it to myself for 40 years..but my husband persuaded me to write about it..
I finalised my subject two years back and started writing on it.. The book was published immediately after Sachin scored his 100th century...
I had two passions in my life..Music and cricket.. and now I am equally crazy about KTLK and AshNi...

Its awesome effort to keep up your passion. Usually people have their interests and they deviate from it due to other pressures in the life. Most often, a woman sacrifices her interests and loses enthusiasm for the sake of the family.. The unwritten rules in the society readily point a finger at her at an every odd situation.

Your husband and you set example to everyone. You have neither slowed down nor compromised at any aspect. A perfect family and a successful family.

Thank you Mam for sharing your personal experience and we are all proud to have you amidst us.😊
