Strange how some people feel proud that they chose a different film as their first film over a rom-com BUT in the same breath degrade their own choices. If you here to become an actor, then be an actor and act and act so well that you make your presence felt even in the smallest of the roles. Look at Irfan Khan, Farooque Sheikh etc. .. these are the guys who are really here to act and not be the hero. They've been here for decades and have never stooped down to doing s**ty movies (may be because they din't have the option), but have survived and earned respect for so long. It just depends on what your priority is. If you want commercial success, instant fame, a lot of money then by all means do whatever movies you have to BUT at least don't flaunt how you chose a Johny Gaddar over Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. It just makes you sound confused about your own self. This Neil Nitin Mukesh maybe a nice guy but just doesn't comes across as mature. First, the ranting about his ex-GF and now this. Man just man up and learn to deal with the world and it's realities and choose which side you want to be on.

I knew that my father could not produce my film as I did not want him to put his hard-earned money to launch me. I knew I had to struggle for it. A lot of people would meet me because of my grandfather, but no one would give me work. Many family friends, whose children wanted to become actors, would constantly dissuade me from becoming an actor and would instead guide me to become a singer.
