Proper Closure for Gayatri's Character

After reading some optimistic posts, I do see how the story can actually be renewed after the death of a pivotal character. In fact, I am most interested to see how Yash deals with loss differently than he did in the case of Arpita, now that he has that experience behind him and Aarti's unwavering support in the grieving process. In fact, Aarti and Yash can really be guiding lights to the whole family, who unlike them, are completely new to a loss of this magnitude. I would especially like to see a poignant relationship further develop between SP and AarYa.

Anyway, now that it's confirmed that Gayatri is dying, I do have a few hopes for closure for her character, since it has been such a pivotal one through out the show:

1. Please make her death meaningful rather than an unfortunate accident. I so wanted this for Prashant, where he would die and gain redemption through this death, by saving someone etc, but they had made him completely negative by then. With Prashant's death, Amit Thakur saved the day with Dubey's very believable and heart-wrenching grief, but with Gayatri I demand more because she was never and will never be a villain in the story by any means. Ideally I would like to see her die saving Aarti and the baby, which would be a redemption for wrongly accusing Aarti, in her blind favour of Akash.

2. I don't want her death to be immediate like Prashant's. I really want a Kal Ho Na Ho-type hospital scene where the doctor tells the family she doesn't have much time left and they all gather around her bed to say goodbye. This is a character for whom we need proper closure and I want an entire episode dedicated to her. I am confident that the CVs will do something like this but I am just mentioning it nonetheless. I want her to make peace with SP, tell him that she forgives him for what he did, and thank him for their life together; I want her to have little speeches with each of her sons and bahus, and if this is somehow caused by Akash, I want her to tell him not to be guilty. Basically in death at least, I want to see the strong, secure and at-peace Gayatri we were all waiting to see emerge through this track.

3. NO SP-RADHA! Please, no speech from Gayatri to Radha telling her to take care of SP now that she is gone. I want SP to be completely broken by Gayatri's death and it would be amazing if they could reference back to when he mocked Yash for his grief over Arpita, saying it wasn't manly to grieve so long and so intensely for a woman. Radha and SP can become platonic friends and make peace with their mistakes, accepting their mutual roles as parents to Yash and Akash but that is IT for now. SP doing anything outside of mourning Gayatri and trying to correct the mistakes that he left uncorrected, acting on the epiphany of how much she meant after losing her, would be unpalatable to be at this point... at least to me. Nobody expects the CVs to take the title of the show that literally!

I think the CVs owe the character of Gayatri this much at least, and given the fact that they love the character so much and couldn't bear to see anybody substandard play it, I have some confidence that they will give us good closure and that Gayatri's death will hopefully lay the foundations for a more deliberate and positive phase in the Scindia family, with everyone putting their egos aside in the face of the bigger picture.

I too dont want her death to b just a mere accident but something which can make us feel for the character post her death .. I would love to see her dieing while saving Aarti and her baby .. this will make sure Gayatri is coming again as Aayu mayb .. so we can hv a girl child too 😳... Also I would love to see a highly emotional Yash-Gayatri scene before she dies ... CVs got to give it 😡

Now coming to Radha-SP , this is where I m not sure I will agree with u or differ 🤔... I will certainly not want Gayatri asking SP to re-marry Radha for his own happiness .. but what if Gayatri asks SP to re-marry Radha so that noone dares to taunt Yash for being illegitimate 🤔.. What if Gayatri asks SP to marry Radha so that al lher sons can get the legitimate rights in the family 🤔... So I dunno how exactly CVs hv thought of this but if with SP-Radha PV , we might see Yash too becoming a legitimate son and mayb hving upperhand over Akash too post Gayatri's death and story can progress from there 🤔

I completely agree with you Samana, Great post by the way. Gayatri as the character and Zaheeda as the actress both deserve a proper closure for the departure from the show. Hate to see Zaheeda go, she is an outstanding actress and hopefully we will see her in another show once she is all better.
They need to give G3 a respectful ending and I like the idea of yours about saving AArti and the baby. hope it happens this way.

@Jyo: To be honest, I hadn't even thought of SP marrying Radha to legitimise Yash! I guess that could happen and it seems plausible as well but my main thing is that SP and Radha should not have any romantic track for a long time to come. I want Gayatri's death to be the trigger for both of them to take responsibility for the things they did, which neither of them have done to her face as yet! If Radha marries SP as a technicality I suppose I could stomach it, though it would still be awkward, but mainly what I don't want is a track surrounding SP and Radha's marriage. If they do get married, it should be all about the kids and all their scenes should be with the kids... not with each other.

@Padamvar: Yup, I completely understand why Zaheedaji has to leave the show and why the CVs couldn't bring themselves to replace her. She IS Gayatri and the way she has played her with all the nuances and mannerisms, there is no way another actor could take up the baton and be as convincing... at least the CVs couldn't find one. So I accept that she is going to die, but I want it to be a grand and glorious death for such an important character.

Honestly I dont want this marriage either but I hv a bad feeling its coming since CVs do get another opportunity to actually live upto the title of punarvivah and then u hv Yash-Arpita parallel here .. this time kids will convince father to move on and accept Radha ... I too hope there is no romantic angle involved and if at all this PV happens , then its just a compromise for kids especially Yash 🤔...

Point here actor playing Radha's role will demand some importance too after a point .. she cannot just remain an extra doing nothing and so the only way to increase her screentime will b pair her up with SP I guess

Hopefully CVs will remember that they cannot compare Yash-Aarti PV with SP-Radha here since in SP-Radha's case they comitted a sin years back which was not the same with AarYa ...

@Jyo: I am afraid of this marriage happening for the very same reason, the CVs trying to live up to the PV title. It is really not necessary and would be extremely awkward. If SP and Radha got married, it would almost be like saying their mistakes are all erased because they made the relationship legitimate, whereas I want them to actually face the mistake and all the difficulty it entails. It is like the unease I felt with Prashant's death because the way Aarti's lie ended up being forgiven was by making it a truth... ie, actually making her a "widow" through Prashant's death. As viewers, we wanted the Scindias to have to deal with the reality of their bahu being a divorcee and missed that completely.

Now if SP marries Radha it would be the same thing. We don't get to see him fighting for the value of his relationship with Gayatri, despite his affair all those years ago. If they got married, and then it was compared to Aarti and Yash's PV, it would seem as though SP and Radha were always meant to be and Gayatri was a hurdle/conveyor in their path of true love. This would undermine Gayatri's character, and SP and Gayatri's relationship, in a way that I don't think I could accept as a viewer. For Aarti and Yash it worked because they were holding on to their pasts when there was nothing to hold on to and the natural progression was to let go and look ahead. With SP and Radha, it is the opposite. They are not acknowledging their past enough and looking ahead too practically without any respect for the implications of their past actions, so them getting married would almost validate this careless attitude instead of teaching them the lessons they need to learn.

I would much prefer a SP-Radha to be akin to Aarti-Prashant than Aarti-Yash, and show how Prashant should have taken responsibility for his child, even if he didn't love Aarti. Similarly, I think I would prefer if SP didn't love Radha and that was established, but he did take responsibility for both his sons.

@Samana : Yeah it will look as if SP-Radha r soulmates who met 30 yrs back but somehow could not unite but finally they will unite with Gayatri's wish .. so Gayatri becomes Arpita or a Prashant here .. the whole point of SP actually cheated on his wife will go missing somewhere ...

Lets see how CVs take it ... I m just mentally prepared for this punarvivah though 😳😆😆

@Jyo: Me too. Even though I might hate the idea, I do trust the CVs to make me believe it is the right thing. Even when they have had to make unfortunate decisions, like killing Prashant, they have built the character up pretty well to make that move look somewhat convincing. Nothing has been totally out of the blue that way. So I am mentally prepared, but I do expect them to do some work to convince me if they do go this way. Best case scenario is if they just don't have a Radha-SP marriage. BEST.
