Hostage
The storyline was heavily inspired by a 2005 Hollywood thriller 'Red Eye'.
- A guy in the restaurant is talking on the phone and notices another person clicking his pictures.
- The guy tries to take out the gun and the guy who was talking pictures runs and gets shot. Someone picks up the camera.
- An old guy gets a call and someone asks for his daughter Renu. He goes to Renu's room and doesn't find her. Dad is angry and mutters that she must have ran away with that loser Mohit. He is mad.
- CID is in the hotel near the dead body. There is crowd around the body and a guy tells ACP that he had a camera. CID team analyses the dead body and checks how the gun was shot and hit the dead guy.
- The lady cop Mukta and Vivek searches for camera but can't find it. Mukta informs the same to ACP.
- ACP tells Abhijit that the gun is shot from far. Abhijit and Fredricks goes to the terrace of the hotel and find that the gun was shot from there.
- At the restaurant Renu is waiting for someone and that guy who was talking in the phone in the beginning sits beside her and shows her dad's picture. She gets scared and that guy asks her to do what he says else he will kill her dad.
- Renu's dad goes to Mohit's house and finds him dead. The neighbors call CID.
- At CID lab the forensic expert tells ACP that the dead body has a camera chip and she gives them that.
- CID team checks Mohit's dead body and concludes that he died 5-6 hours before. Renu's dad tells them that he didn't kill Mohit and he is worried about Renu as she is missing. He tells them that Renu works in a hotel.
- Fredricks is at Renu's house with her dad. They see a guy wearing a mask in the car watching them.
- At CID office they analyze the pictures and find the guy in all pictures who was with Renu in the restaurant.
- ACP interrogates Renu's friend Sandhya. Same time Renu calls her to tell that Mr. Smith will arrive in the hotel so give him Room No: 125.
- Renu tries to run away from that guy and tries her dad's number. The guy warns him that if she doesn't come back then his aide who is waiting outside her dad's house will shoot him.
- Sandhya and CID gang reaches the Hotel. The receptionist tells them that Mr.Smith is given Room No: 125.
- Abhijit goes to Mr.Smith's room to tell him that there is bomb in his room and he searches. Meanwhile someone shoots from the terrace of another building but misses the target.
- ACP and gang capture the shooter. Shooter laughs hysterically and dies.
- CID team goes in search of Renu. They find her tied up in a mill along with captors. The main captor is shot in the leg by ACP. They question him about the murders. He tries to swallows cyanide.
- ACP says that many questions are unanswered after this captor's death but they are happy that they could rescue Renu.
I would give this story a 5/10 because so many things remain unanswered. Had they remained truthful to the original film it would have turned out to be an excellent story.
