And yes, Sita was kidnapped only because she allowed herself to be kidnapped. It was a part of her avatar and she knew that. It is true that Ravan could never have touched her against her will, but the Goddess knew her husband was destined to kill Ravan, so she allowed Ravan to be able to touch her just at that moment!

Yes just at that moment! But her mind was always fixed on Shri Ram...

No offence in touch only thing is "That our mind is fickle by nature, it should not be allowed to get wild."
We should curb senses rightly and properly according to the need of the occasion.

I am not sure, but I think it might be from Adhyatma Ramayana. Since RCM was inspired by Adhyatma Ramayana, it may be in RCM too.

there are so many scholars who have mentioned various angles by which she would have carried ...one version says Ravana, an expert in all sciences, caught her by the shadow of her hair and the shadow of her thighs other suggests ravana caught her by her feet, as she a form of mahalaxshmi was his personal deity. kamban depicted her as a mortal she was in a helpless condition, semi-conscious, or nearly unconscious, and ravana caught her by her tresses. She wass falling down on the ground; but was held by her locks. Ravana held her by the nape of neck, and lifted her off the ground while she was falling semi-conscious, with his hand underneath her legs. She was carried across the chest as babies are carried. ...
there is one sholak in valmiki ramayana that is a part of the speech of Ravana, when speaking to Sita, just moments before the abduction.

valmiki ramayana canto 49 sholak 14-15 http://www.valmikiramayan.net/utf8/aranya/sarga49/aranya_49_frame.htm

tht means "Ultimately you have a much-lauded husband in me, as such you oblige me, and I will not cause any displeasure to you at any point of time. Let your heart refrain from that humanly Rama and you start bringing round your heart towards me. What are the merits of that Rama that justify your passions for him? You are illiterate, but seem to consider yourself widely read. That mindless Rama gave up the kingdom and its kind-hearted people and is dwelling in this forest where predators are on the prowl."

but Maheshvara Tiirtha, a very ancient commentator, tries hard to establish Ravana as an absolute devotee of Goddess Lakshmi, for Ravana himself was their doorkeeper in heaven before his accursed being. He is one from the two doorkeepers in vaikuNTha 'abode of Lord Vishnu and Lakshmi' called Jaya and Vijaya Ravana is Jaya, the doorkeeper. That commentary is like this. yadi aham patiH 'if, I am, the lord...' raakshasaam iti seSaH elliptic, 'of demons...' tava sadR^ishaH : kim bhR^itya - iti seSaH 'you befitting, elliptic, am I a befitting servant - no I am not...' 'Although I am not a good servant of yours, but if you wish to me be one, triSu lokeSu vikhyaataam yathaa tathaa 'as if to become famous in all the three worlds...' maam bhartaaram aashraya 'me, as servant, accept...' Here bharta is defined as shushruuSa aadinaa svaaminam bibharti iti bhartaa - bhR^itya iti arthaH 'one who serves his master by his services is bhartaa. Thus bhartaa does not only mean a husband but also a servant. Why should she accept Ravana now as a newly recruited servant? Because ciraaya tava shlaaghyaH 'for a long time I have been extolling you in vaikunTha as Jaya...' and I am a priya : priiNayati iti shshruuSa aadinaa svaaminam - iti priya bhR^ityaH 'a dear, earnest servant of yours...' maam bhajasva 'you know me thus as your humble servant...' maanuSe bhaava tyajataam 'humans only are to be saved..' - you leave this thinking and think that we the demons are also to be saved...' muuDhe paNDita maaninii mayi bhaava praNiiyataam 'Although I am an unread stupid, grace me too because I am your long serving servant...' Further, Rama is raajyaat cyutam 'not fallen from kingship, but he is a spurner of kingly pleasures, he thrusts these small things back with his foot...' why because a siddha artham - ashca asau siddha arthaH ca 'Vishnu is one with His purposes fulfilled... thus He does not care for a petty kingdom, when He is the King of Kings...' parimita aayuSam : parigatam - tyaktam; mitam - alpam - aayuH yena tam - a parimita aayuSam 'He is an eternal entity...' kaiH guNaiH - kaiH= anirvacaniiya; guNaiH= ananta kalyaaNa guNa shiila'One with indefinable, illimitable auspicious merits...' anuraktaa asi 'you are impassioned for such a Vishnu, though... and I have no objection for that, but bless me too... durmati : duSTeSu api matiH - anugraahikaa buddhi 'He is not a mindless person, but he has a mind for the mindless and bad-minded persons like me... So please come with me and let your husband follow you to Lanka and accord salvation, as planned by you all...

in short In short, Ravana is inviting Sita to his palace, so that Rama can follow and kill him as planned.

its from kamban 😳
kamban mentioned tht at ashok vatika sita covered her face with her upper garment and shed her tears of grief and fright. Ravana misread the situation and thought that she covered her face because she was acting coyly and assured her how 'proper' it was for her to step out of wedlock and choose him instead. ...he came forward and said 'I know what troubles your mind. You are unable to decide in my favour because you seem to feel that you are a woman who is given already in marriage. You need not hesitate on that score. come i will show u the luxuries of my palace
immediately sita plucked the grass blade and placed it between her and ravana she looked at the grass blade and adressed 'Ravana, you say that this island is highly protected and that you rule over the universe. You seem to think that Rama cannot find me out. You imagine that you will continue to breathe when encountered by my husband. You roll out the details of your past glories. You have shown me around your palace with diamond-studded pillars. I care a damn. That means nothing to me. You may think that I am impressed by what you have shown me and what you have told me. I do not really care. I do not hold you anything more than a mere blade of grass. You are as worthless to me as this blade of grass that could be plucked effortlessly by even my hands. Just wait until Rama comes here. You will be blown and thrown on the ground. Your lifeless frame would roll on the ground, as this blade of grass.'

You may chain this body, devoid of all feelings, trample upon it. "Put this body, which is insentient (by itself), in chains or cause it to be put to death as you will. This body is not to be preserved by me, not even life, O ogre!" (Ibid, Sloka 21)

You may even put me to death. I don't care for this body any more or even afraid of giving up my life. I am the wife of the descendant of Raghu, the son of Dasaratha, the valiant and invincible Rama. I will not move an inch away from that position.

she called herself "This body". If you torture, if you torment, do not think that you are doing it to me. It would only be my body that would suffer, and not me. And if you think of putting this body to death, you may do so. 'na idam shariiram rakSyam me jiivitam vaa api raakSasa' I myself would not preserve it in such circumstances. I do not care if I have to shed my life. 'I would rather allow this body to shatter into pieces than to bend under your pressure

This was an unexpected move for ravana... this woman remains as solid as a rock. 'I would rather allow this body to shatter into pieces than to bend under your pressure,' is how she hits him back, that too with a blade of grass! Ravana has wielded every kind of weapon, including the sword that he received from Lord Maheswara.

Nothing seemed to be more potent than this thin blade of grass! The sword of Shankara gave him the power to kill. But this blade of grass, which she does not even hold, does something more than that! No steel was as powerful as this one. This deters him from action! This does not make his body bleed, of course. But it does make his heart bleed. This does not kill him of course. But it does kill his pride; his ego; his impression that he could have his way with anyone at any time, with the right tactics, right move and the right pressure.

The great strategist that Ravana was, he quickly saw another way. He knew that rock couldn't be bent. But he did know that it could be worn down. Great rocks could be worn with a piece of chisel over a period of time, and could be sculpted upon. But that takes time. It could not be done immediately. Let me try that way, he must have thought. He did not realise this rock, instead of getting shaped as he pleased, would slide on him and crush him to death.

His hair stood on end, says the Poet, by the way she challenged him. 'siitaayaa vacanam shrutvaa paruSam roma harSaNam.' On hearing her words, his hair stood on end. This did not happen to him even during the battle with Yama! He decided to try wearing her rock-like will down and came out with this threat. "Hear my warning, O Princess of Mithila! I allow you (an interval of) twelve months, O comely and youthful lady! If you do not yield to me within this period, O lady with love by smiles, my cooks will cut you into small pieces for my breakfast." ...

so actually kamban implied she put the grass blade infront of her as kind of rekha tht she drew for herself... this blade of grass is often considered as sita's rekha😳

Arti, 1986 Ramayan and 2008 Ramayan showed Sita drawing a rekha in front of Lakshman when she left for vanvaas in Uttar Kand. She forbid him from crossing it and coming after her, because Lakshman was so heartbroken to leave his mother-like Sita in the forests.
Do you know which source has this incident?

So Sita actually draws a line for Lakshman not to cross in Valmiki Ramayan? I never knew that.😲
Hmm, 1986 and 2008 Ramayans always referred to that scene as "Sita's Rekha" but yeah, Sita's Rekha was most prominent against Ravan in Lanka.
