Hey guys this is the official last chapter of LTB. There will be one more update which is the epilogue. I really hope you like this last chapter as much as I loved writing it. Chapter 14: Let Me Love You
Two Years Later:
The gang was at Taani's house distracting Taani from Rey as Rey was planning a surprise for her. It was the Rey's idea to have the entire gang there on his special day. He knew that Taani was a simple girl with filmy dreams and he knew that on this day she would want her closest family, her friends there with them.
"Sab hoga hai." Rey said to himself as he glanced over the gazebo in Taani's the garden. Because of Taani's demand for the music department two years ago, the gang was fortunate include to call many musicians into their close group of friends and Vicky had gotten talented instrument players to join them, and they were on their respective instruments. Sid had promised to play the piano and Rey saw his chair, where he was going to sing his heart out to Taani. They had gone through so much together, and this was the only way he knew to express his feelings.
Rey quickly called Swayam to ask if everything was okay and Swayam had said that they were a few minutes away from Taani's favorite garden. Rey smiled closing his eyes anticipating Taani's arrival.
"No Taani we're not here yet and no you cannot take off your blindfold." Aashi said for the tenth time as the gang got annoyed at Taani's constant questioning.
"Well geez maybe you wouldn't be annoyed if you just tell me where we are going and why I had to spend two hours with all of you girls fighting over my hair, makeup, and outfit." Taani said sarcastically making the guys laugh.
"Alright we are here." Swayam said as the gang got out of the car.
Rey came up to them and said, "Thanks guys for distracting her I owe you one." And Taani tried to turn to the direction she heard his voice, but it sounded like it was far away.
She felt Aashi move next to her and hold her arm gently, "Come on Taani, it's time for you to see what we were hiding." Walking a few steps Taani felt Aashi halt and untie the blindfold. Blinking slightly she gasped at what she saw. They were in her favorite garden, the one filled with different kinds of flowers. The gazebo was decorated in lilacs, Taani's favorite flower. She followed her gaze to see her friend Akansha sitting with a violin while Payal and Kajal were on the cello. She saw Sid sitting at the piano and she felt her heart skip a beat as she saw Rey standing by a chair on the gazebo that was across other chairs that were placed neatly. She saw that Rey was wearing white, just like her dress and instantly knew that her friends had planned that on purpose.
"Rey?" She asked not trusting herself with any other words. The gang smiled as they all sat as Rey pulled Taani lightly by her arm.
"I love you." Rey said first. "We both have been through so much together in the past few years and I honestly couldn't have gone through everything and become that man I am proud to call myself today without you. I know I'm not good at expressing my feelings so I want to do this for you." He said grabbing Taani's hand sitting her in between Swayam and Aashi. Swayam and Sharon were holding hands as Taani looked at them and then looked at Aashi trying to figure out what was going on.
Rey gave Taani one last look before he nodded to Sid who started playing the piano. He took a deep breath in and started singing.
Rey started singing remembering when he first met Taani, the hatred they both felt towards each other along with their undeniable attract towards each other. He remembered seeing Taani cry from heart break and seeing her upset because of her disgrace of a father and feeling like he had to do something in order to get his angel of love to smile.
Much as you blame yourself, you can't be blamed for the way that you feel

Rey looked right into Taani's eyes and saw the glint of awe in them. He saw poignant love for him in her eyes and he saw her eyes glistening as she sang on. He sang to express how much he loved her and how he wanted to be the one to keep her happy even when she was sad.

Rey remembered Taani learning about her father, he remembered her standing in view with her father's gun. He remembered the pain she felt when she realized that she was right about her father, that he was a cruel man. He remembered the look on her face and remembered the promise in his heart to make all of her pain go away.

Along with Sid, Akansha, Payal, and Kajal started playing adding the beauty to Rey's singing. Rey sang louder, as if he was pouring out the love he felt for her. He wanted her to feel that he loved her not only for her, but he loved her for loving him and shaping him into who he has become.

Rey was finishing his song and was walking towards Taani who had tears in her eyes. Kneeling he finished singing the last part.

Taani's eyes were filled with tears as Rey kneeled in front of her and pulled out a box. A stray tear fell as Rey started speaking. "I promise to love you everyday of forever. Just you and me together, that's what I'm proposing. I'm asking you to look past all of my flaws and all of my mistakes and accept me for me. I'm asking you to love me despite my drawbacks. I'm asking you to be mine forever, I'm asking you to make me complete. Taani will you marry me?"
Taani looked into Rey's eyes and couldn't believe how lucky she was. Not being able to say anything she attacked him into a hug as he stood up hugging her back tightly. "You and me Rey till the end." Taani whispered as Rey pulled back smiling as if he was the luckiest man on earth. Taking out the beautiful diamond ring, he slipped it onto her finger and kissed her hand.
"She said yes!" he yelled happily as the gang cheered and Rey pulled Taani into a beautiful, passionate, soulful, love filled kiss that secured the promise of their future and their love that would never, ever die.
Taani smiled into the kiss never wanting to let go, her life was finally perfect. She had a true family and a brother who would die to protect her, her friends that had been through so much together that they were her family now, and a fianc she knew that would always keep her happy. Everything was perfect.

Hey guys just wanna say thank you for all the wishes for my wrist, and yes guys i will take care of it, as of right now I'm not typing the update, my roommate is typing what I dictate to her so I'm not straining my wrist at all esp since my fiance is literally sitting next to me making sure i don't 😆 There will be one last update that I will probably upload by tomorrow or maybe even later tonight.
